You know what's better than a regular birthday? The birthday of a circus.




Throughout the streets of Goldenrod, folks will find all sorts of colorful characters and Pokemon about. Fliers and the like have been regular eve since the Circus started up a year ago, but the advertising is in full force today just to make it EXTRA apparent that today is the day. Another hint is all the air traffic in the skies- various Flying-type Pokemon that make up the Circus' transportation service. Who knows? Maybe you're one of those using it today!

And of course, who can miss the colorful spectacle that is the circus itself? Past the entrance gate (which will let you onto the circus grounds for a miniscule fee) are dozens and dozens of stalls and little tents. Looming over them is the main tent itself, a monstrosity of bright welcoming colors. There are all sorts of things amongst their ranks, but it's generally fairly easy to find what you're looking for as Pidgey of a feather flock together and all that... From games of all sorts like the usual carnival games to more of a retro arcade, to a set of shops with local crafts and maybe something from the foreign trainers.... Of course, there's also all sorts of food stalls and even shacks for more filling stuff.

There's even a Litleo hunt going on today! Catch one, win a prize!

With all that alone, you could probably keep busy for most of the day! But surely you aren't forgetting the Big Act?

Yep, the big acts in the Big Top. Times are posted both at the front gate, on fliers you can pick up here and there, and by the entrance to the large tent. For each day, there will be three shows! Better hope you can snag a ticket before they get sold out... Although maybe you'll get lucky for the next show. Or the next day....

Either way, it promises to be a fun weekend!

[Joker is currently being smothered into unconsciousness by his main team. William, however, will find himself being approached a Skarmory hopping along the ground towards him with a box in its mouth.]

[death_glare]

[ William cocks his head to the side at the sight of the odd metal bird. He certainly hasn't seen this Pokemon before. But as it holds out the package to him, he takes it carefully from its mouth, assuming it must be a generic party favor. ]

Ah, thank you. Where is your trainer?

[Oh, you want Papa? Follow him, please, thank you.]

[The Skarmory hops over to the corner of the tent not dominated by the dinner table and that is instead filled with a variety of chairs. There's Joker, trying to shove a Furret off of his face. The Skarmory leans over to tug at his sleeve, and the ringleader does his best to peer out from behind fur.]

What is it, Sabre- oh! Suit, 'lo! There ya are.

[death_glare]

[ William frowns, watching the ordeal. ]

What are you doing on the floor?

[ He holds out a gloved hand to him, offering to help him up. ]

Bein' forced ta sleep, I suppose!

[Laughing a little, he manages to free his hand and grabs Will's, getting up to his feet.]

On time, just like I figured ya would be!

[death_glare]

[ He looks around the tent. ]

Seems I'm the only one to arrive on time.

[ He frowns, but for another reason. ]

Did I not just see you over in the main tent?

[pipers_son]

[At that, Joker's grin gets downright sly.]

Did ya~?

[death_glare]

Yes, I am certain I did.

[ Giving you a suspicious look back. ]

[pipers_son]

Well, I think ya must be mistaken, 'cuz I've been in the kitchens all day!

[Gosh, Will, don't be a spoilsport. Joker winks.]

Wotcha know about Zoroarks?

[death_glare]

[ Frowning, definitely confused. What you playin at Joker? ]

I do not own one, so I suppose nothing.

Now Will, ya should really look in yer Pokedex now and again! Can learn all sortsa things.

[Clearing his throat, Joker gives a call.] Avari!

[An unusually colored Zoroark slips into the tent from outside, her eyes glancing over William smoothly. At Joker's grin, there's a sigh from the fox and a shimmer of light. Instead of a Zoroark, there now stands someone who could be William's double.]

[death_glare]

[ William's about to argue Joker's statement with a frown, an adjustment to his frames and a well phrased rebuttal when Avari enters the tent.

The Zoroark doesn't seem familiar, in terms of Pokemon he's encountered on his trip so far, but he doesn't have long to scrutinize her before she transforms into someone he's very well acquainted with, instead. ]

Ah...

[ He leans in slightly, squinting and seeing just how authentic this double is. ]

I haven't come across any with this ability before. [ His eyes shift over to his grinning friend. ] So this Zoroark is who ran the show this evening?

[Pretty spot on! There might be a few minor off-details, but it's all pretty good for someone she's only had one glance at.]

Her and Invidia have been workin' together, that's right. Been tough, but they're old hats by now!
