You know what's better than a regular birthday? The birthday of a circus.




Throughout the streets of Goldenrod, folks will find all sorts of colorful characters and Pokemon about. Fliers and the like have been regular eve since the Circus started up a year ago, but the advertising is in full force today just to make it EXTRA apparent that today is the day. Another hint is all the air traffic in the skies- various Flying-type Pokemon that make up the Circus' transportation service. Who knows? Maybe you're one of those using it today!

And of course, who can miss the colorful spectacle that is the circus itself? Past the entrance gate (which will let you onto the circus grounds for a miniscule fee) are dozens and dozens of stalls and little tents. Looming over them is the main tent itself, a monstrosity of bright welcoming colors. There are all sorts of things amongst their ranks, but it's generally fairly easy to find what you're looking for as Pidgey of a feather flock together and all that... From games of all sorts like the usual carnival games to more of a retro arcade, to a set of shops with local crafts and maybe something from the foreign trainers.... Of course, there's also all sorts of food stalls and even shacks for more filling stuff.

There's even a Litleo hunt going on today! Catch one, win a prize!

With all that alone, you could probably keep busy for most of the day! But surely you aren't forgetting the Big Act?

Yep, the big acts in the Big Top. Times are posted both at the front gate, on fliers you can pick up here and there, and by the entrance to the large tent. For each day, there will be three shows! Better hope you can snag a ticket before they get sold out... Although maybe you'll get lucky for the next show. Or the next day....

Either way, it promises to be a fun weekend!

Jin peeks up at Rise and chirps. She nods and scratches him under his chin. "I showed him what the different types are. I think he wants to be a Glaceon. That's the one he kept having me go back to." Her eyes go wide with wonder. "Really? But Lancer-san and Molly have some, too! Are they really that uncommon?"

"Usually, but everyone here in Johto seems to have gotten an egg on Christmas Day last year and they all hatched as shiny...so that may be why." he replies.

[dangerousidol]

"Do you think something like that might happen again?"

[codeforhope]

"It's possible! Unusual things like that happen fairly often, I would say."

[dangerousidol]

"Often? Like the dream thing?" What will she do if it gets worse?

[codeforhope]

"Mm..." he hesitates, thinking about that a moment. "Often enough, yes. But things seem to happen around certain times, mostly, so it's not too much of a surprise at least."

[dangerousidol]

"That's comforting. That dream ball thing was supposed to be like a prom, right? Like what American's do?" She had been wondering about that. She'd never heard of something like that happening in Japan.

"That's right. We've had a few before, just...never in dreams like that last one was," Chihiro explains. "I didn't touch the feathers, though, so I never went to sleep. What was it like?"

[dangerousidol]

Rise nods, then lets out an exasperated sigh. "The first night was a pain... I had a nightmare, and a girl I thought hated me came into my dream. It was really embarrassing! Plus, I wound up in someone else's dream, and this guy really believe in fairies. He's nice enough, but that was weird..."

"How strange," he comments quietly, eventually pulling his hand back from where he had been petting Jin. "But I guess if it was all just a dream, there was no harm done or anything."

[dangerousidol]

"True...but the second dream was even weirder! I was walking everywhere. I didn't know where I was going. I ran across Heather, and we walked and talked. She's really nice, and I hope I can meet her outside of a dream." One of the few trainers who didn't think Fukuro was weird.

"I'm sure you will, someday. If not in person, perhaps over the Network sometime," Chihiro supplies, folding his hands in his lap again.

[dangerousidol]

Rise nods and smiles, giggling a bit. "I know I will! But that's not even the best part!" She's quiet for a moment to build up suspense. "The third night, there was this huge dance in this really pretty castle! Or a mansion! It was really fun~ I got to dance with some guys I know, and talked with my ni-chan about his world. I was kind of sad when I woke up from that..."

He nods. "I've been hearing about that. I can't help but wonder why everyone who was dreaming eventually ended up all in the same place, like that..."

[dangerousidol]

"I think it has to do with those feathers. Maybe they drew everyone in?" She noticed that her Pokémon didn't mind the feather after the dreams were done, like some kind of magic was suddenly lifted off of it.

"Mmm, maybe...my friend Maka told me it was probably a good idea to leave them alone. Maybe that's why I didn't end up falling asleep?"

[dangerousidol]

"That might be it. I couldn't help but touch it. Himiko brought it to me after Fukuro found it. She really liked it, so I let her keep it after I checked it out."
