You know what's better than a regular birthday? The birthday of a circus.

Throughout the streets of Goldenrod, folks will find all sorts of colorful characters and Pokemon about. Fliers and the like have been regular eve since the Circus started up a year ago, but the advertising is in full force today just to make it EXTRA apparent that today is the day. Another hint is all the air traffic in the skies- various Flying-type Pokemon that make up the Circus' transportation service. Who knows? Maybe you're one of those using it today!

And of course, who can miss the colorful spectacle that is the circus itself? Past the entrance gate (which will let you onto the circus grounds for a miniscule fee) are dozens and dozens of stalls and little tents. Looming over them is the main tent itself, a monstrosity of bright welcoming colors. There are all sorts of things amongst their ranks, but it's generally fairly easy to find what you're looking for as Pidgey of a feather flock together and all that... From games of all sorts like the usual carnival games to more of a retro arcade, to a set of shops with local crafts and maybe something from the foreign trainers.... Of course, there's also all sorts of food stalls and even shacks for more filling stuff.

There's even a Litleo hunt going on today! Catch one, win a prize!

With all that alone, you could probably keep busy for most of the day! But surely you aren't forgetting the Big Act?

Yep, the big acts in the Big Top. Times are posted both at the front gate, on fliers you can pick up here and there, and by the entrance to the large tent. For each day, there will be three shows! Better hope you can snag a ticket before they get sold out... Although maybe you'll get lucky for the next show. Or the next day....

Either way, it promises to be a fun weekend!

[Ilya responds with a dubious look at the greasy hot dogs while Harpy raises her head at the sound of her name, curious.]

I don't want you poisoning my Pokemon.

[She raises a brow.]

But you're okay with me eating it?

It's more that I don't really think I can stop you. Besides, human and animal stomachs were meant for different things. What will poison one will be fine for another.

[Kairi is pretty sure the prehistoric deathbird can probably handle a hot dog, but she'll drop it.]

Well it's pretty tasty...

Well yes. Particularly for something so easy to get. It can't hold a candle to Shirou's cooking, but he always had to do a lot of work to make things turn out well.

Mn. [She agrees through a bite of her hot dog.]

Cooking is really hard.

I tried to do a bit of it here to see if I could measure up to him, but I never got the hang of it. I can really only do simple things.

[She nibbles her corndog a bit.]

Maybe we should take lessons. It would be nice if somebody at the Training Center knew how to cook.

[Do princesses cook their own food? Probably not.]

Interesting idea... lessons from who though?

Know any incredible chefs nearby?

[Because she doesn't.]

I can't say that I do. I'm sure if my brother were here he'd be willing to share his expertise, but as he isn't...

There's a lot of talent in your family, huh?

Oh quite! We all have our strengths. Mother was an amazing healer and alchemist, of course you're very familiar with my talents, and Shirou... well he can be an idiot sometimes, but he's still a great brother.

I guess Riku and Sora are the closest thing I have to brothers.

[And they're also pretty major doofuses.]

You have my complete sympathy.

[She's not all that serious, but teasing those two is fun even if they aren't around.]

[She giggles and fakes a sigh.]

The things I do for the people I love.

Tolerate their presence, you mean?

[Aaaand switching the teasing to Kairi herself lightning-quick. Because she can.]

Yeah but you have some redeeming qualities. There's plenty you're good for.

[She'll try not to look disappointed when Ilya resists her teasing. Instead, she'll try and dot her friend's nose with her chocolate ice cream.]

[And Ilya catches that finger... with her mouth.

She is now sucking the chocolate ice cream off of Kairi's finger.]

[After swiping her tongue over Kairi's finger to make sure she got it all, Ilya releases it with a pop and grins, catlike.]

You make the best faces sometimes.

Of course you didn't, that's part of why I did it in the first place. I wanted to see how you'd react. And I must say, you didn't disappoint.
