You know what's better than a regular birthday? The birthday of a circus.




Throughout the streets of Goldenrod, folks will find all sorts of colorful characters and Pokemon about. Fliers and the like have been regular eve since the Circus started up a year ago, but the advertising is in full force today just to make it EXTRA apparent that today is the day. Another hint is all the air traffic in the skies- various Flying-type Pokemon that make up the Circus' transportation service. Who knows? Maybe you're one of those using it today!

And of course, who can miss the colorful spectacle that is the circus itself? Past the entrance gate (which will let you onto the circus grounds for a miniscule fee) are dozens and dozens of stalls and little tents. Looming over them is the main tent itself, a monstrosity of bright welcoming colors. There are all sorts of things amongst their ranks, but it's generally fairly easy to find what you're looking for as Pidgey of a feather flock together and all that... From games of all sorts like the usual carnival games to more of a retro arcade, to a set of shops with local crafts and maybe something from the foreign trainers.... Of course, there's also all sorts of food stalls and even shacks for more filling stuff.

There's even a Litleo hunt going on today! Catch one, win a prize!

With all that alone, you could probably keep busy for most of the day! But surely you aren't forgetting the Big Act?

Yep, the big acts in the Big Top. Times are posted both at the front gate, on fliers you can pick up here and there, and by the entrance to the large tent. For each day, there will be three shows! Better hope you can snag a ticket before they get sold out... Although maybe you'll get lucky for the next show. Or the next day....

Either way, it promises to be a fun weekend!

"Yeah~ Every Pokémon is special... even the ones that scare me," she says the last part quietly. There's quite a few that outright scare her, most of them being ghost types. "Oh! I brought Jin with me!" She carefully takes the sleeping shiny Eevee out of her bag. "He hasn't left my side at all. He's been eating more, too."

[silentscales]

Snake is surprised by how pretty and silvery the eevee's coat is. "Cute," he mutters. One of the two Sevipers slithers over to see and smell the sleeping pokèmon better.

Jin's ears wiggle and he stretches, yawning as he does. He blinks his eyes a few time before yawning again. When he notices the snakes, he lets out a terrified squeal, hiding back in the bag. "J-Jin!"

[silentscales]

His snakes pull away a bit and try to assure the other pokèmon they won't hurt them. "We don't want to hurt you, says Ruskin."

[dangerousidol]

Jin peeks out a few minutes later, ears twitching. Rise smiled and gently took him out. "See? They mean it. Besides, Nanako would protect you. Right?" Nanako patted Jin's head and nodded. "There. Not so scary now."

[silentscales]

A servine walks closer and waves to Jin. He calls himself the leader of the rest of Snake's pokèmon, though several of his pokèmon just laugh at that.

"What kind of pokèmon is he, asks Zola?"

Rise smiles and pet Jin, who cautiously watches the Servine. "He's an Eevee. Soon he'll be a Glaceon. That's the Pokémon he wants to evolve into, since he's jealous of Chiisai and Himiko being evolved."

[silentscales]

"I've never seen one before, says Zola." Snake pets her on her head and Zola lets out a harmless puff of snow and cold in her enjoyment of the head-pets.

[dangerousidol]

She pushes some buttons in her Dex and shows Zola a Glaceon. "It's an ice-type. So you'd be weak against him. But don't worry, I would never use my Pokémon to hurt a friend's Pokémon. Unless it was for training. He's actually really sweet once he get to know you. Right, Jin?" Twitching his ears, Jin lets out a soft squeak in agreement.

He's so adorable and sweet already! says Zola.

[dangerousidol]

"I like to think he is~" Jin looks a bit bashful as he hides his little head with this paws and tail. "If he could blush, I think he'd be rather red right now."

[silentscales]

Zola uses her tail to pet Jin's head gently. There's a moment of silence that started to get awkward for Snake, so he asks, "Would you like to help me make my next dance?... Says Gaskell."

Jin lets out a happy little chirp. He likes being petted. Rise doesn't find the silence too awkward. Awkward was when someone then tried to make a move in that silence. The question makes her blink before nodding. "If you'd like. It'd have to wait till I get back to Johto, though."

[silentscales]

Snake is a little surprised, "You're going to Kanto? asks Gaskell."

[dangerousidol]

She nods and plays with Jin's ears. "I like it here a lot, but I want to see every city before I find a place I want to stay in. I don't want to make my choice already!"

[silentscales]

"That is fair. I've travelled a lot back home, so I am content to live here with Joker and everyone, says Gaskell."

[dangerousidol]

"I guess traveling a lot can be tiring. But I've ever traveled that much, so this place is great for that~"

[silentscales]

I have been meaning to explore more, says Gaskell.

[dangerousidol]

"You should. It can be super relaxing just finding new things." Nanako nods in agreement. "Just don't let an Espurr lead."
