It's a good thing it's a beautiful day outside, or this could've gotten ugly in a hurry.

It's a lovely day on the beach in Olivine City; the morning dawns fresh and clear after the rainstorms of the previous afternoon, which is both a blessing and a massive relief because if this thing had gotten rained out after several months' worth of work toward it, somebody probably would've had a conniption.

Fortunately, it is in fact sunny out, people should've all made it to Olivine safely either on their own or with the help of Joker's circus transportation service, and with the whole morning to set up, preparations are reasonably minimal — a modest-sized catwalk, a whole lot of chairs, and some light tents over the seating to help keep off the sun. All in all, it's not a particularly big or extensive affair; with viewing being open to random guests and passerby, there's as much standing room as there is seating, and a standard-sized microphone and speaker setup is more than enough to ensure that everyone in the general vicinity will be able to hear the emcees, even without their boisterous personalities adding to things.

Come one, come all, watch the show and hang out; though the area before the show is likely to be a fairly closed-off bustle of frenzy and activity, there's plenty of benches, shops, and vendors to patronize along the boardwalk, and there's drinking water on-site to help offset the heat of the day while people are working. Of course you'll be asked to keep bustle and chatter to a minimum during, as well, but don't worry! There'll be plenty of time afterward to mingle around, walk the beach in the light of the setting sun, or speak with the models, crew, and the designer herself. If you saw something you liked, maybe you should place an order!

Regardless, everyone who participated as a part of the cast and crew will be treated to a late dinner afterwards at one of Olivine's nice and happening restaurants; you've all supported Meridiana this far, so it's really the least she can do by way of saying thank you.

There's nothing quite like the hustle and bustle of getting ready for a big event! There's a fair amount to get done on the beach where the show itself is going to be held — setting up the catwalk, putting up the tents, arranging the chairs, getting the sound system working, and so on. Models will be directed to a room in the inn nearby, where dressing, styling, and last-minute preparations are taking place; once it gets near showtime, we'll all walk down to the beach together and get arranged in the designated "backstage" area for the event proper.

...And don't worry, models assigned to wear heels, your designer has brought flip-flops for you to circumvent the obvious problem of "oh my god you cannot possibly expect me to walk on sand in those" as far as making the trek across the sand. You can put the glamorous shoes on once you hit solid flooring again.

Hooray for hustle and bustle! Let's get things set for the main event.

After the excitement of the circus, Chihiro had been looking forward to getting to visit Olivine for the show. It's unarguably a very nice venue, particularly with the cool breeze blowing across the ocean's surface providing a pleasant atmosphere. Since arriving early that morning, Chihiro had been busy making sure all of the sound equipment was set up properly. He's mostly on the technical side of things, getting wires hooked up where they need to go and having speakers placed in areas where the emcees could be heard without them actually blocking the view of the catwalk.

You might see him struggling to get a bunch of wires near one of the speakers untangled and feel compelled to help, or you may be the one passing by that he taps on the shoulder to ask for a little help getting a speaker carried from here to there while his Chesnaught very carefully picks up the other.

After that is mostly done there are some sound checks to do before he stops long enough to rest, seated in one of the nearby folding chairs to watch other people bustle around while he catches his breath.

Having offered his assistance, Ringabel can be spotted all over the place, zipping about to offer his assistance. There's so much to do, people to see... especially the women, but he's not one to turn down an opportunity to socialize, even with the incoming show. Models may find him poking around, checking in to see how they're faring and if they need anything. His goal is to ensure everything runs smooth as silk.

Just pardon him if he flirts with any of the ladies present. It's just in his nature.

The cast has arrived, the audience is seated, and it's time for the show to get on the road! Your emcees for the occasion will be Maximillian Pegasus and Shuu Tsukiyama, each armed with a microphone and a small stack of cue cards with pertinent information about the dresses and models on them. Nearby, a flock of Swablu conducted by a Meowstic will be providing the background music to walk to, and as the models make their way down the runway, their efforts will be captured in living color by the talents of your two photographers, Chie Hori and Neku Sakuraba.

Pegasus and Tsukiyama will be alternating in their emceeing, with Pegasus responsible for discussing the Mienshao, Pichu, and Lampent outfits, and Tsukiyama covering the Kirlia, Talonflame, and Dragonair ones.

So sit back, enjoy the ride, and if you're one of the ones modeling — strut your stuff!

Anna always was the kind of person who preferred a crowd over a small gathering, and her dress and ensemble was nothing short of adorable (which was to be expected; even Bolt, her own Pichu, couldn't help but be thrilled upon seeing the resemblance to himself, they were practically twins!!), but standing backstage like this moments before her time walking out, the poor princess couldn't help but be a little bit nervous. She was pretty eager to do this, but even so, she wasn't exactly the epitome of grace that Meridiana probably would expect from someone of her class, and despite the fact that she doesn't particularly mind being the center of attention, with everyone staring at her, there was no telling what would happen. The last thing she'd need was to trip and fall on the runway, or something equally embarrassing...

Ultimately, though, it's knowing that Elsa's going to be in the crowd cheering her on that makes her just a bit more confident in herself as she takes a deep breath and adjusts her headband a smidge, before heading out onto the runway. Walking slowly and deliberately down the strip wasn't one of her strongest suits, but if she thought of it like dancing, it made it just a bit easier for her to keep steady in her bright yellow shoes. And by the time she reaches the end, she does look awfully comfortable as her eyes scan the crowd...everything seemed pretty good so far!! This was actually pretty fun..!

Liked what you saw? Well, now's your chance to mingle around, meet the cast, or turn up to pay your compliments to the designer; she'll be around in an outfit of her own, looking a little exhausted but pleased as punch as the same time. Models, feel free to wander around and talk to people while still in your runway outfits; it's free advertising, so it's not like Meridiana's going to mind.

Outside of that, though, you've got the run of the Olivine beach and the nearby boardwalk, and it's getting on toward a beautiful evening. It's been an exciting day all around, so why not unwind and make the most of it?

[Things went rather well, he thinks. He was mostly playing bag holder for Chie, but he managed a few good shots himself. Neku is still a novice when it comes to photography, but he's always had a good eye for framing. It's been a good experience for him

But after this? He's heading back to Kanto. Likely until his badge quest was done. So he wants to try and grab Meridiana before he goes so he can give her the data card for his share of the pics. But he's free to be poked by others before he heads out again too]

[He'll certainly find her, if he's looking; once things have wound down and the show has been packed up, she's opted to sit on a big rock facing the water and just...unwind a bit, until everyone's ready to head out for a late dinner.]
