A. July 11th - late afternoon

[It was a long way back to Goldenrod, but eventually they made it before it got too dark. First stop? Honeyed Soul. Rin had a few ideas he wanted to try and start creating before he met up with Roxas. Maybe, if he was lucky, there would be a few coworkers still awake and ready to take on a potential new menu item?

Or Yukio could just sit pretty and taste test everything. If he felt his stomach was up to it.]

B. July 12th - sometime in the morning

[Rin's out and about and ready to meet up with someone in PERSON. It was exciting - and it had a way of making friendships feel a little more real. Just like when he met Al in person for the first time. That had been really cool. Rin taps out a quick message to Roxas, something like:

where r u?
ur not sleeping r u?

...Hopefully Roxas isn't away in dreamland...]

[Your Pokémon sound like angels compared to his Murkrow, honestly. Roxas's affinity is light, so maybe the dark types know that. But he's human here, so that shouldn't matter???

He sighs softly.] Maybe you could handle him better than I can. I don't think he ever liked me very much from the beginning.

[He shifts his weight from foot to foot before finally nodding.] I guess if you're good with them... you can try and talk to him? I'd have to get him out of the box.

[...No, they're all terrible pranksters and Rin's like the gang leader. he probably should mention that Poochy saw what Rin really was during that weirdo weekend when he's not as human anymore. she has a different sort of respect for him than his other pokemon do.]

You just gotta keep trying! [Roxas, you're getting a pat on the shoulder.] Sure thing~. I'll bring Poochy with me so she can talk to him too. And then you can travel together with your pokemon again!

[Roxas was too preoccupied that weekend to even have realized that he had his Keyblades back. Oh well, maybe next time.]

Right... [He sounds far from sure as he leads Rin and Sky over to the elevator.] I'm just warning you that this might not go over well. He'll attack just about anything he doesn't like.

[He's - He's not exaggerating. When he says it, it's with a simple shrug. It's no big deal to him. Rin follows along wherever Roxas will lead him.] If I get hurt, then I get hurt. And if it doesn't go well this time, I'll have to think of something for next time.

[Roxas is impressed. Rin really loves Pokémon. It makes him feel bad that's not bee able to get along with Braig, but what else can he do?]

But you shouldn't have to. If I was a better trainer, I wouldn't have this problem. [Yeah... he's blaming himself for this as they step on the elevator to go down.]

[...he does. he loves his pokemon a lot and he really misses the ones he's had to leave behind.

Rin pats Roxas on the back - but he misjudges his strength and hits him a little too hard.] C'mon, are you kidding me? You sing with your pokemon and let 'em fly whenever they want! You're already a great trainer and you're still doing your best for all of 'em.

I told you I had the same problem with Poochy. She'd bite me any chance she got! And she hated any pokemon I'd catch. It took us forever to understand each other.

[Roxas stumbles forward, his hand going up to his hair to make sure Mickey doesn't get knocked down. Well then, that could have gone worse.] You think so?

[He keeps being called a good trainer.... but he doesn't feel like a good trainer.]

Maybe... I do have an Espurr egg. My friend Naminé's can translate for her Pokémon. You think that would work once it hatches? [At the mention of Espurr, Sky ruffles her feathers and lets out a small, terrified squeak. No cats for her!] I mean, we'll try your approach today... but that'd be good for the future!

[Mickey let's out a shrill squeak. Thank you Roxas! His trainer means well BUT PLEASE SAVE HIM FROM FALLING...] Yup! Everything you said proves that you love your pokemon. That's the best thing a trainer can do.

[Rin shrugs.] I dunno, I've never had a psychic type. If it works for your friend, then give it a shot!

I talked with my friend Serah... are there really people called Team Rocket who steal Pokémon? [It' sounds horrible.]

I have a Gothita. She's a psychic type, but I don't know if it's the same. I'll have to check it out.

Yeah, they're just as bad as that and I've heard they do worse. [He doesn't have details.]

Well, she said that her sister who wasn't her sister set up something called the Pokémon Guardian Corps. So why is there still a Team Rocket? [This doesn't really make sense. Was Team Rocket just that powerful?]

R-Right! [He steps out of the elevator and proceeds to lead them to the Pokémon center.]

[He's not even going to try to solve that sister puzzle.] Well, from what I remember they're like a global thing? They stick to the shadows but they're still around. No one can find their headquarters.

[He follows him into the Center. It was one step closer to solving the mystery of the angry pokemon. Oh. He had to make sure to grab Poochy and the others.]

[Sounds rough. He'd want to do something if he could.] Even after years? They must be really good at hiding. How would you know if you knew a Rocket?

[Once in there, he makes sure to switch out the only Pokémon in a pokéball. Then comes the hesitation of taking Braig out.] Okay. Where should we go to let him out?
