He ain't from round here, you know what I mean
Who: Jimmy Two-Shoes and YOU!
Where: Goldenrod City
When: August 3rd-8th
Summary: Jimmy's been on a trip and returned to Goldenrod for the month, which means he's got a lot ofgoofing off to do things to catch up on.
Rating: PG at most
Log:
[Monday, August 3rd; Circus Grounds]
[Despite the clouds fighting to keep the sun covered up, it is excessively hot out today, and that's exactly the way that Jimmy's used to it being. No cold or wind or rain- just nothing but blaring sunlight beating down overhead that he's probably taking a lot better than most might on a day like today. The grounds outside of the main circus tent are abustle with activity, but it isn't people that you'll see walking around.
There are Pokemon, and they are everywhere. Jimmy's got a lot of his Pokemon out today, though it's predominantly his grass and water types. Those groups would actually enjoy a day like today over, say, his Goodra, after all. There's a kiddie pool set up in the center of the area that a Floatzel and a Wartortle are filling with water. Already there's a Dragalge sortof just...florped in the thing like a giant living piece of kelp, trying to share space with a Sharpedo and a tiny Inkay bobbing in the water as it fills up like a bath toy. Nearby, a Breloom, Gogoat, Sunflora, and Ivysaur (with a Treecko lying on his head) bask in the sun's rays with the mist from the running water hitting their bodies. As usual, Jimmy's Manectric is lounging in the grass some distance away from both groups, keeping an eye out to make sure nobody gets into trouble while their trainer is occupied.
And where's Jimmy? He's sitting cross legged in the grass with his hands on his knees, slightly bent over as he stares at a Pokemon sitting in front of him. The Heatmor just stares right back with a dull grunt, a small plume of flame licking from its mouth when it exhales.]
Huh...I've already got Toast, Inferno, and Cinder...what should I call you? Do you got any ideas?
[Naturally, he doesn't get much of an answer beyond another grunt.]
[Tuesday, August 4th; The Mansion]
[Today, Jimmy's spending his morning checking up on Jack's Mansion. He'd been away for a month with Molly, so now he wanted to check on the Pokemon there to make sure everyone was doing okay. The moment he opens the door there's a flurry of activity on the other side as ghosts, bats, and other things scurry into the shadows. When they realize it's Jimmy, however, they peek slowly out again as he stands in the doorway, one hand on the handle.]
You guys been doin' okay? Sorry I haven't been here for a couple weeks. Edgar! S'everything cool in here?
[He calls up to the Murkrow perched on the banister above his head, who gives a low, raspy sort of squawk as she adjust her wings against her back. From what he's learned of her habits, he will take that as a yes.
Jimmy glances down at Leader, running a hand over the electric type's head.]
Kay boy, remember what Jack said? We gotta make sure this place looks really good and scary. We've only got a couple months till Halloween, so it needs to be ready!
[Leader gives a low woof of agreement before following Jimmy around to the yard again. Anyone passing by this hillside will see Jimmy pretty much all over the place, checking different areas around the outside, walking over the porch to make sure the floorboards still creak and checking windows to make sure they're all broken and drafty.]
[Thursday, August 6th; Goldenrod Park]
[Today is the day for Jimmy to practice new routines for his Circus act. It's always changing, and he tries not to do the same things twice if he can help it. But he's done a lot...balancing acts, juggling, even acrobatics to a certain degree. He's starting to run low on options here.
He stands in front of a male Pyroar with his chin propped up in one hand, the lion's eyes following him as he paces every now and then and mutters to himself.]
Lesse...do you think a lion tamer act would really even work, here? I mean, Pokemon are way more trained than just wild animals or anything...I guess I could maybe bring in Cerbee and ride on his back or something, since he's so huge...
[He stops, putting his hands on his hips as he turns his attention back to the Pyroar.]
What do you think, Molotov?
[The Pokemon blinks slowly, staring at Jimmy for a long moment before his jaws part in a huge yawn, his tongue lolling out. Then he just...flops over onto his side with an audible whumph of his mane, his tail flicking back and forth.
Jimmy groans and drops to his knees next to the Pyroar, reaching out to put his hands on his burly side to shake him a little.]
Noooo, c'mon, you can't sleep now! We gotta come up with something!
[Friday, August 7th; Anywhere]
[It's another hot day today. Hotter than it was on Monday, even, to the point where even Jimmy doesn't want to do a whole lot. Jimmy has his dogs with him today; Leader, Lucius, Solstice, Winter, and Buster, all of them trotting along with him in a fluffy entourage. They all seem pretty well behaved at least, not trying to run out into the road to chase Meowth or anything...except for Buster, Jimmy's Herdier. The fuzzy pup has to take two or three steps for every stride the likes of Jimmy's Houndoom or Furfrou make, making it a little difficult for him to keep up with the pack.
It's only when Jimmy stops to buy some lemonade that he takes advantage of the pause to sniff around a little, his nose to the asphalt. It's cool, thankfully; Jimmy kept beneath the overhangs of nearby shops to avoid burning their paws on hot concrete. There are a lot of open-ended eateries on this side of the city, with plenty of little verandas for people to sit at.
Of course, if you happen to be one of those people, you might feel something nosing at your feet before too long as Buster starts to wander even further from Jimmy and the group, vying for attention.]
[Wildcard]
[The 5th and the 8th are both free days. If you'd like to hit Jimmy up and do something different from one of the above prompts, feel free!]

But yeah, my Pokemon should be helpful. At least they can flap their wings and blow the dust out the door.

Totally. Maybe by the time you move in it won't be so hot, huh?

[Jimmy looks down at his feet as he says that, where his Manectric has curled up to watch his trainer and Tobias talk. He gives a wide yawn before dropping his head on his paws, Jimmy's other canines doing similar by finding spots in the shade to sit.]
I keep most of my Pokemon out anyway, even if I don't have 'em with me. They stay at the Circus tent, or in the Mansion depending on where they wanna go.

[He grins a bit. He's just teasing you, Jimmy.]

Not like I got much room to talk. Most'a my Pokemon are all fire types anyway, and I didn't even do that on purpose!
no subject
[Speck puffs out his chest. Hello, were you talking about him?]
Including you.
[He reaches over to ruffle Speck's feathers a bit fondly.]

[Jimmy smiles up at Speck, bouncing his knee as he talks.]
Are you gonna try to catch all the birds?
no subject
[He thinks about that, and shrugs.]
Kind of? I'd like to, but there's a bunch of bug-types that are flying that don't really seem to really be the sort of Pokemon I do best with. And then there's some things that look like they should be flying type but aren't, like Spritzee.

[He knows if Cynthia ever returned to Johto, though, he'd gladly return her.]
Oh yeaah, that's right...there are lots of, like, dragons that are flying type too! But I think all of those are just really cool in general.
no subject
[Even if they don't really get along at first...]
The bugs make me kind of nervous, though. A lot of bugs are just really... weird to morph at home. They don't think the same way, especially ones that are part of a hive or colony.
no subject
[He wants to say it sounds cool, but the way Tobias is talking makes it seem far from it.]
no subject
[Max huffs and nudges Tobias, who just smiles and pats him on the wing.]
We morphed flies a lot, though. No one really notices flies.
no subject
Huh...does it hurt?
