Sometimes people leave you, halfway through the wood.
Who: Alphonse Elric, Envy, Greed, and Wrath.
Where: An ill-fated bakery. All around Goldenrod. The freakin' basement.
When: August 11th onwards! This is a catch-all.
Summary: The world has been pretty good to the various monsters and serial killers hailing from Amestris, but one particular villainous wild child has yet to be rehabilitated.
Rating: PG-13 for talk of abuse, manipulation, brainwashing, all that good stuff.
Log:

late 8/20 - for Wrath
Everyone's gone upstairs to fetch candles, but Scar has elected to stay downstairs with Wrath. He has extremely mixed feelings about the poor thing being stuffed in the basement, but there is barely anything he can do. As far as Scar knows, this boy is capable of killing in cold blood. He needs help, and he needs to not be on his own.
Whether or not the other homunculi are right for that...
Scar sits on the basement floor, legs crossed, Miriam curled up in his shirt to keep warm. He's trying to think of something to say to Wrath, but sits in silence while he waits.

Wrath is huddled in a small, shadowy bundle-- a BLOB in the darkness, really, against the wall across from scar. His eyes no longer reflect light in the dark like they once did, but their wide, glassy gleam is probably the most visible part of him. He and Scar have been staring at each other wordlessly for a good five minutes now, and it almost looks like Wrath isn't going to say anything at all.
... Until...
"... Are you going to kill me?"
no subject
"Why would I kill you?" The tone of his voice is, thankfully, non-confrontational. He knows how to talk to kids with major issues.

He'd picked up THAT much, listening at the top of the stairs.
Even if it had been a blow against someone who he now thought of as an enemy, he couldn't manage to take even an ounce of satisfaction in it. He'd betrayed sensitive information and given not one but TWO enemies an extra personal reason to loathe him.
That wasn't a victory. It was a MASSIVE MESS-UP.
And god, assuming Scar or Lust didn't get to him first, he'd have to pay far more than a pound of flesh when Dante came.
no subject
"That was not your fault." Hopefully, he sounds at least a little reassuring. "You... made me aware of something, and everything that followed had nothing to do with you."
no subject
Still, despite his protest, he looks somewhat reassured that Scar doesn't want to kill him. More reassured than he would have if the man had simply denied it.
He doesn't move from his spot against the wall, though. Even though he's starting to shiver.
no subject
He notices that the boy seems cold, but doesn't move from his spot, yet. Approaching would likely yield an unfavorable reaction.
no subject
"My Master. The traitor doesn't talk to me."
Or more accurately, Wrath himself had effectively shut down all of Lust's attempts to get through to him, and she, quite understandably, didn't bother to make the effort unless absolutely necessary.
Wrath draws his feet under him, letting out a quiet huff.
"I'm the only one who still tries to do as Master says."
Except he'd screwed up.
REAL BAD.
no subject
"That is because they have all realized that your master was a terrible person who should not be listened to. She also cannot hurt us here."
no subject
"No! She takes care of us. Other humans would have just killed us. We're supposed to be grateful to her. Not betray her the second she's not here. Why doesn't anybody understand?!"
no subject
This is going to take a while.
no subject
"So?! It's better than hating us right away for no reason!"
At last, Wrath sits up, if only so that he can scowl indignantly and square his shoulders.
"You're just like the rest. Trying to trick me into becoming a traitor too."
no subject
no subject
"No. I'm loyal. I'm good."
And then he'll fall silent.
... Wellp. Scar tried.
no subject
"Everything okay down here? Envy and Greed should be down here soon, I think they're trying to find everything that would even be half-way considered a blanket in the house."
no subject
Scar is silent for a moment after he speaks before talking, his tone low and warning.
"Do not lie to me again, Alphonse."
no subject
"As far as I knew, they were at least near Ecruteak by the time the weather went bad. And I wasn't about to let you freeze to death out in that snow." He doesn't regret lying like that, not considering the circumstances.
no subject
THE COLD IS NOTHING, JUST LIKE THE LOSS OF MAJOR EXTREMITIES AND AUTOMATIC RIFLES.
"Have you been in contact with her?"
no subject
To the second part, he sighs and deflates somewhat. "No. I tried to call her, but she won't pick up." He would ask Heather how Lust is doing, but he's pretty sure that she's still pissed at him for the sucker punch incident.
no subject
"Has anyone else spoken with her?"
