Who: Fang, Lightning and anyone else who would likely pop in! (If you're not sure, shoot me or Lightning mun a PM!)
Where: Pallet Town
When: As soon as she steps off the ferry.
Summary: Reunion~ And introductions!
Rating: PG for Fang's interesting way of wording things.
Log:
The water rippled out away from the ferry as Fang shouldered her belongings. A few steps was all it took to bring her onto dry land again. She breathed in deeply, cocking her head to speak to the Pokémon currently resting in her bag:
"We made it, squirt. Now you might be jostled around a bit, but don't worry. I've got this under control."
If her cat friend believed her, she wasn't nearly as smart as Fang first thought her. But one thing was sure: things would be okay. Lightning had given her the best news of her life.
Well partially.
It would work out if she had to bleed for it. Spinning her lance to loosen the muscles of her back and shoulders, she entered the town, smirking at the looks she attracted. No matter where an Oerban traveled, they stood out like a sore thumb.
Ah well. She embraced it. Maybe she could find some other clothes later.
Reaching back, she grabbed one of her Pokéballs and freed Dia with a flick of her wrist. The feline landed gracefully and looked up at her expectantly.
"Be a good girl and stick close, yeah?"

That was Fang alright. Looking the same as when Lightning had seen her disappear with Snow and Vanille. And the lance was there. She feels the familiar feeling of jealously. Why couldn't she keep her weapons? Then again, she knew why. This place had robbed her of her powers, forced her to become fully human again.
Not that she minded in the least. Well, there was a few times she minded.
She put a hand on her hip as she nodded at her friend in welcome. "Took you long enough."

First, her bag was dropped - and then her lance. The space that separated her and the Savior was nothing. She crossed it, putting her long legs to good use.
"Well are you gonna fight it?"
The dreaded hug was coming. Man up, Lightning.

"Beatrix! Let me go!"
The Lucario refused, not relinquishing her grip till it was too late for her trainer to move. Serah had always told her that hugs fixed things. So her trainer needed a hug to fix her mood. Lightning would disagree with this approach if she had known about it.

"I'm glad you're alive."
She had been willing to sacrifice anyone - everyone - for Vanille, but when it came down to it, her friends were her family too. How could she kill one of them to save another? That was the sort of deal the gods loved.
To hell with them.

Those words made her pull back enough to look Fang in the face. "What, did you think I wouldn't be? Doesn't sound like you've got a lot of faith in how sturdy I am."
It wasn't what she had wanted to say. It was just the first thing that came out of her mouth. She looked down for a moment before returning her gaze back up to her friend. "I'm glad you're alive, too."

They'd fought together and had each other's back. It wasn't everyday that Fang ran across someone who - without godly intervention - was her equal in battle. How could she not make friends with her?
"It's not that." she murmured, stepping back to give Lightning a sad smile, "I think if I could split myself in two, my other half would be following you."
Then she examined the other woman's face closely - intently.
"We can snap and bark and growl all we want at one another, but you're Sunshine to me. How can I not worry?"

Then Fang happened. And now she felt like she had started unraveling. It felt strangely good to have that control back in her life, to not have all that pent up anger and pain anymore, and had thankfully not cost her a friend in the process. Things had been said that didn't have to be, but it was better that they had, even better if they could work past them.
Lightning sighed softly. "I know. We're friends. Apparently that means always worrying about each other." She wouldn't have it any other way. She then gave Fang a smirk.
"I thought you wanted to spin me around. Surprised to see you changed your mind. Getting soft on me?"

And boy did she know what it felt like to need a good argument. It was a stress release - as long as it ended with a hug or a nice drink.
"We're lucky we're so sturdy." less to worry about, maybe? She mirrored the smirk she was given, placing a hand on her hip.
"I didn't want to spook your friend." the Lucario was too cute to be swung around. But since Lightning brought it up...
Fang reinitiated the embrace and lifted her up, spinning in place. See? She was no liar.

Now she had someone who understood that even in a peaceful place like this, there always had to be someone you trusted your life with. Serah was there for emotional support, Fang... well, what else was there than to have someone who wouldn't take Light's anger and try and crush her with it? Or to confide in things she couldn't imagine telling her sister just yet. "Sturdy is one way to put it."
Lightning looked over at Beatrix, who gave them a shrug. "She listened to our conversation. You wouldn't have spooked her... I think she was planning on having your threat come true with her help."
The Lucario might or might not get a treat later. That thought was promptly throw out the window when she felt herself be pulled against the other woman again, lifted, and spun. Her arms wrapped around Fang's neck more in panic than in trying to prolong the hug. "H-Hey!"

Dia chose the distraction to slip up to Lightning - once she was set down - and meow pitifully. She had been on a ferry for three days! She needed food and attention! Fang was horrible!
"Oh stop lyin', you trickster." Fang rolled her eyes and let go of the pink-haired soldier at last, though this wasn't the last hug she would be giving out to her. She was sort of cute when she was caught off-guard. Who knew there was a softer side to the Savior?

Lightning took a deep breath after being set down. Her gaze moved down before she picked the Purrloin up in one scoop, scratching her under the jaw. "She's alright. Maqui was just like her before he evolved." Cats do have exploitable weaknesses. Light can teach you all about them, Fang.
"Did you keep her in the Pokéball the entire trip?"

Dia wiggled in surprise at the attention before purring and tipping her head back. Lightning had found a good spot!
"Must've driven you crazy." in all likelihood, Dia's weaknesses were not so different from Fang's.
"Not the whole way. I was afraid she'd fall in, though. She kept peekin' over the side."

"It would have were it not for Selima, his sister. She kept him calm enough most of them time. The others times... two Purrloin's can cause quite a ruckus." Nothing she couldn't handle.
"I came here by train." Lightning looked over at the docks. "Glad I did. Serah went stir crazy on that thing."

Hook up? Them being siblings wasn't much of a barrier in the wild.
"You think you have it bad now; what if you end up with a litter of inbred kittens?" as cute as they would be...no. It wasn't good for them.
"So you left her alone to be stir crazy? Some sis." she was teasing affectionately.

She knew what she was doing. Despite feeling out of place here most of the time, Light took her time to figure out the little things in this world. "Talk to them if you want to. They'll let you know the same thing in their own way."
"Hey, her trip at least didn't come with a lot of baggage along the way. She made it here without much fuss. It took me three months to get myself to come here."
