The zither vibrates with escaping notes
Who: Chie Hori (
shuttermouse) and Shuu Tsukiyama (
preybeforemeals)
Where: Goldenrod City
When: Evening of the 14th
Summary: Pointless chatter and breaking into abandoned buildings.
Rating: PG-13? Obligatory discussions of cannibalism warning.
Log:
[ It's not out of the ordinary for them to be up late, really, as they're prone to wander out to do stupid things at ungodly hours in the morning. But on some nights they're content to remain in Tsukiyama's gratuitously large bed, spending hours talking about things and/or playing with the Pokémon that are also in the bed with them, until they finally decide to go the fuck to sleep.
Tonight looks like it's going to be one of those nights. Chie is wearing her favourite pyjamas (which happen to be very cute and so pink you could die) and she's idly running her hand through her newly hatched Larvesta's mane of white fuzz. It's so soft and fluffy and warm and the moth thing seems to be enjoying the attention, occasionally making weird moth noises in Chie's general direction. ]
Tsukiyama-kun, what do you call a bee that eats other bees?
[ ...Apparently it's stupid jokes o'clock. ]
Hannibal Nectar.

That said, though, tonight he's in a good mood and he's dressed like a disaster (because these lime green pants aren't going to wear themselves and he clearly gives no fucks if they clash with magenta shirts), and he settles quickly enough, settling where he's lying on his back on the bed; he rakes his hands back through his hair lightly and he's still smirking a bit - this is so stupid, Hori, he doesn't even.]
Unless it's a ghoul bee.
[Tsukiyama, don't you even - ]
Presumably beekaku-type.

This is so dumb and it makes her laugh, the sound short and nasal. The Larvesta gives her a look of confusion that clearly says "I'm twelve hours old and what is this." ]
That pun was so bad it became good.

[Because clearly, it's been entirely too long since his ego has been insufferable.]

Do comedians taste funny?

[...Wait.]
...Ah, I see.
[He wasn't expecting that, okay.]

Where in the world do you even come up with all of these, that's awful...
[There's a laugh behind his words, though, the sort of aren't-we-terrible laugh that implies that it's not awful at all; it's nice, in a way, to just be hideously off-color once in a while, even if it still does have to be behind closed doors due to Miss Everett being in the house.]

Sometimes the awful jokes just come to me. I have a few more, but I think I'll save them for another time.
[ She says as she rolls her Larvesta over onto its back to give it a belly rub. Look at it, isn't it cute as hell. ]
If I were a ghoul, what RC type do you think I would have?

That said, though, he glances up at that; he's not staring her down, exactly, just studying.]
Bikaku, I'd think. My first thought was perhaps ukaku, but I don't think that suits you as well.

Why bikaku, though?
no subject
[Hori, why.]
You're very unassuming - honestly, you're rather mundane in a lot of ways - so I can see where having no discernible strengths nor weaknesses suits you. However, there's inherent value in having a lack of either, if one knows how to utilize that to their advantage, and I think you would excel in that regard.
Assuming that you would be granted the ideal, I'd think that's appropriate.

[ Because she is very short with typical short people problems, that's why. ]
I wouldn't want a koukaku. They're too heavy, and I'd rather rely on speed than high defense.

Do you want to go out and grab a drink or break into a building? This conversation is getting stupid.

Ahh, but fine, fine. I wouldn't mind that, it's been a while.
