this stinks.
Who: Asami and OPEN
Where: Ecruteak
When: October 22-27
Summary: Asami becomes half stunky and hates literally everything.
Rating: PG
Log:
[ Waking up... ]
Asami, without a fraction of a doubt, had a very powerful vanity streak.
For the most part, she was an earlier riser than her traveling companions. She was used to getting up early and liked to be awake for the sunrise. It was calming, and it made her feel productive.
So when she woke up the morning of the 22nd and everything felt horribly wrong, it was all she could not to gasp so loudly she woke the entire hotel room.
Her clothes were ill-fitting over the thick layer of purple and white fur that had appeared all over her body. She definitely had a tail. Even her face felt misshapen. There was no trying to not panic. She was panicking. She was panicking so much that she let loose a stink bomb under the covers. Rolling out of bed more roughly than she usually did (sorry, Korra), she dashed to the bathroom, looked in the mirror, then closed the door very hard.
She was not coming out unless she absolutely had to.
[ Actually getting outside. ]
Asami managed to peel herself outdoors at night. She was extremely skittish and nervous and generally disgusted with herself. She smelled horrific. Her face looked like a small, purple ass. She could be found around the poorly lit nighttime streets of Ecruteak, poking around in alleys on some strangely comforting instinct she didn't understand.
She didn't want to be seen. Spirits forbid anyone saw her.

"Elsa?" Her voice was thick and shaky.

"Asami, I--"
And cuts herself off with a panicked yelp as she passes straight through said wall and stumbles right into the bathroom.

All she can do is sit on the floor in her bright pink and purple pajamas and stare in abject horror that she's going to be seen. Tears start to form and there is nothing she can do about it.

Besides... god. She's seen that look before. She's pretty sure that's exactly how she looked on the night of her coronation, when her powers flared up in front of everyone. It's the look of a cornered animal stuck firmly in "flight" mode over fight mode.
It's Elsa's heart that clenches painfully this time.
"Asami..." Her voice is softer this time, wavering slightly as she tries to keep herself calm for her friend's sake. "I'm not going to hurt you, okay? You're safe."

She curls into herself, desperately hiding her awful face behind her arms and between her knees. Is she going to be stuck like this forever? What if it gets worse? She smells so awful, and her face!
Her face!
"It's awful." She knows she's not in any physical danger, but... LOOK AT HER, ELSA.
no subject
Look Asami you don't smell any worse than Kristoff did and if Elsa could deal with him around the castle you're FINE.Elsa is looking, but all she can see is the fear and the panic. She doesn't care about the changes - well, she does, but they don't make her any less
attractivelikable in Elsa's book - just how her friend is feeling right now. That's what's most important."It is," She can't really say that it's not, because... well. Look at them. "But things like this always seem to work out. You'll be okay, Asami."

Normally, Asami would agree with Elsa. Ridiculous things like this usually ran their course within a couple of days. Right now, though, logic was completely out the window on account of her being an enormous skunk.
"This happens to people when spirits possess them, too! And they stay like this!"
no subject
But this isn't a case of possession!" At least, Elsa's not entirely sure it is. Asami should be fine, but Elsa herself is turning into some weird ghost. That doesn't bode well.
"It's probably just... some virus spread by those odd mash-ups. And viruses can be cured!"
no subject
"You can't just change someone back to the way they were!" How will anyone be able to look at her without laughing?
