this stinks.
Who: Asami and OPEN
Where: Ecruteak
When: October 22-27
Summary: Asami becomes half stunky and hates literally everything.
Rating: PG
Log:
[ Waking up... ]
Asami, without a fraction of a doubt, had a very powerful vanity streak.
For the most part, she was an earlier riser than her traveling companions. She was used to getting up early and liked to be awake for the sunrise. It was calming, and it made her feel productive.
So when she woke up the morning of the 22nd and everything felt horribly wrong, it was all she could not to gasp so loudly she woke the entire hotel room.
Her clothes were ill-fitting over the thick layer of purple and white fur that had appeared all over her body. She definitely had a tail. Even her face felt misshapen. There was no trying to not panic. She was panicking. She was panicking so much that she let loose a stink bomb under the covers. Rolling out of bed more roughly than she usually did (sorry, Korra), she dashed to the bathroom, looked in the mirror, then closed the door very hard.
She was not coming out unless she absolutely had to.
[ Actually getting outside. ]
Asami managed to peel herself outdoors at night. She was extremely skittish and nervous and generally disgusted with herself. She smelled horrific. Her face looked like a small, purple ass. She could be found around the poorly lit nighttime streets of Ecruteak, poking around in alleys on some strangely comforting instinct she didn't understand.
She didn't want to be seen. Spirits forbid anyone saw her.

Korra honestly had no idea what was wrong, but it would be okay. It had to be. And after everything they'd been through and done together, it couldn't be that awful.
But she didn't try to get through the door.
"What can't we get through, huh?"

But when Asami dared to peek up at herself in the mirror, she only let out another distressed sob.
"Something happened."
No, shit, Asami.

And Korra was beginning to suspect just what it was. That light itching in her arms was giving way to a whole lot of hair that normally wasn't there.
That...was not promising. She didn't feel sick, or in any pain, but there was definitely something happening to her. If something similar was happening to Asami...
No wonder the other woman was locking herself in the bathroom right now.
"I don't think it's just you...but whatever it is, we can figure it out."

"Are you okay...?" She hadn't even so much as looked at Korra before dashing for the bathroom. How could she be so selfish...

Korra was still leaning against the door. She didn't have a mirror handy - it wasn't like she carried a little one around with her - but she thought she could feel where she was sprouting strange new hair.
"Or a lot of shaves."
