Her stomach tightened and there was this deep seated fear that if she turned away now, that would be it. That thing would get loose of whatever was keeping it at the top of the island and destroy everything. She had to do something.
But there were dozens of other people, and their Pokemon teams, going at it. Logically she knew that most people knew better, had more experience with Pokemon fighting, and understood this world much better than her. And Asami didn't want anything to do with this, something that was only becoming more and more clear. There was every single reason to get someplace safer, make sure Asami was okay - not just physically - and actually try and come up with a plan.
But it still felt like abandoning what she believed in, somehow.
