[Seeing how Rin is being accosted by a conga line of huggers, WHAT'S ONE MO-

Actually, when Chihiro finds Rin, he's too surprised to do anything at first. Pleasantly surprised, of course, and...also a bit sad because he knows this won't last, he's just going to be here for a few days...

In the end, Chihiro doesn't say anything. He just runs up to Rin to give him the tightest hug he can manage, so now he's 3-for-3 on "I'm so glad to see you again" hugs today.]

[OKAY. NEXT TIME HE SEES SOMEONE HE'S JUST GOING TO HUG THEM. apparently this must be the new thing.

This hug comes without warning. One moment Rin is on his feet, the next he's taken one step to balance himself against the extra weight. He peers down, expecting someone small (maybe Molly again) but his breath catches for a moment as he recognizes the person.

... He doesn't really know what to say. He doesn't know yet that he's not going to be here for long. Instead he pulls Chihiro into a tighter hold, one hand softly treading through her hair.]

[For a moment Chihiro just stands there, holding Rin tight with his face buried into his shoulder. When he does speak it's a bit muffled, but it sounds genuinely happy. Just a bit thick with emotion, perhaps, but through his sleeve it's a bit hard to really tell.]

I missed you, Okumura-san.

C'mon, I wasn't gone that long. [It feels like - like he came back to a dream. He doesn't want to leave, not with Chihiro as emotional as she is.

She said she missed him. Until he held her in his arms, he hadn't realized how much he missed her too... but he's not going to cry or get teary-eyed. It wasn't fair that he had to leave the memories of this place behind when he went home. He was glad that the memories, at least, would be waiting for him to pick up again whenever he came back.]

[He nods a little. Things have been up and down. They're as good as they usually are, but more and more people have left lately, even though they've been replaced by new friends. It's a familiar cycle, but no less unwanted.]
