Who: Rakka (
charcoalfeather) and Tobias (
wing_attack)
Where: Cherrygrove Town
When: February 19th, Lovely Kiss Weekend
Summary: Rakka and Tobias meet on an unfortunate day
Rating: PG
Log:
[Was she late? Maybe, possibly. "Friday, by noon" Tobias had said. He would Fly here, to the Pokemon center, and they would finally meet in person. After talking to so many people through her pokegear in the last week, she would take it as a pleasant and much-needed change of pace.
She stepped through the double sliding doors - those still freaked her out a week later. Life was strange and new here, but at least she knew where the comfy seats were, perfect for waiting in.. if she didn't fall asleep in the process. But that was unlikely in her current mood. Was she nervous? Maybe a little bit. Being as it was, meeting Tobias at all came about by a prank by her Espurr, Bright. Bright was, thankfully, back at the inn, Rakka just had two Pokemon waiting with her right now.
A snugly Togepi sitting contently in her lap, and a Pidove perching on her head, keeping an eye on the door when his trainer was not.]

Soon, she was out of the thick of it, standing on the beach and looking out to the ocean. By all appearances, she seemed to just be... soaking it all in.]
It's so lovely here.

[Even if he has zero desire to go into the water. Nuh uh, no thanks. He's had enough water.]
I bet it's even better at sunrise or sunset. The water reflecting the colors... you could probably get a lot of good pictures out of it.

It's probably nicer then, and when the weather's nicer... I think I'll come back here sometime. [She tucked away the idea of 'pictures' for later.] I think I'm actually happy being here, maybe I really can get used to it.

[The world is big and full of things to see. Especially things to sketch. He's starting to get better at it.]
1/oh god
Yeah, it really is. [She breathes in, and out, her smile soft.]
I guess, even if neither of us signed ourselves up for that match-up, it's been nice to meet you, Tobias.
[The beach is an excellent backdrop. Something strange drives Rakka, she can't recognize it, but it makes her reach up on her toes, and give Tobias a nice peck on the cheek.]
2
[......]
3
oh god
Huh...?! But... I-I didn't mean to do that!
[It takes all of Rakka's willpower to remember not to drop Kuu in her own surprise. Her eyes are wide and registering more shock then Tobias might have.]
no subject
Um... th... thanks? It's been nice to meet you, too?
[Regal senses his trainer's distress and lands nearby, tilting his head quizzically at Tobias. Are you okay, friend?]
Sorry, I'm just... I have... there's someone else, so... I'm sorry, I can't be interested in you like that...
no subject
No! N-no, no! I didn't want to... I mean...
[Rakka somehow manages to flail helplessly, despite having her arms busy.]
I-I'm not interested in you either! That's the truth!
no subject
[Oh. Wait. People have been acting weird the past couple of Fridays.]
[Uh.]
You... uh. Couldn't help it, could you? It's... it's okay.
[It's totally awkward, but it's okay.]
no subject
Uh. Even if she wasn't feeling up to looking him in the eyes at the moment.
Alas. This is very awkward.]
N-no... I couldn't, I just really felt like doing it. But, it was only for a moment, and I can't say I've ever done anything like that before... [wait] W-wait! I, uh....
[Enough of this. Gale lands on Rakka's head, finding now to be the time where he will protect his trainer from anything. Rakka merely hung her head.]
...I'm sorry, I really didn't mean it.
no subject
[It wasn't instinct or an alien in her head, it was just... this place being weird. So... maybe it'll be okay.]
Um. Maybe we should go get food now?
[Since the beach is quiet and awkward.]
no subject
[Thank you, Tobias. Rakka can finally shove her entire foot in her mouth.]
...If you still want to?
[She's not going to argue if Tobias wants to just get the heck outta here.]
no subject
[And forget that kiss ever happened. What kiss are you talking about? Tobias turns to head back up the sand and rocks, and pauses.]
I can help you up if you need.
no subject
Uh.... Seeing the offered hand, Rakka was hesitant.]
Well...
[She's kind of holding her baby pokemon right now, it doesn't feel right to let Kuu go.]
No... I can do it. It's not that hard. Let's go find something to eat. I know there's a cafe not too far from here.
[...Watch out for falling girls, Tobias.]
no subject
[He'll just stay behind her in case she does fall. Climbing up sand is hard, okay.]
Regal, you can rest now.
[He returns his Pokemon to his Pokeball. Regal should be having naptime now anyway.]
no subject
[The Pidove chirps sadly from atop his trainer's head, but lets himself return to her pokeball. Kuu would continue to be in her arms as he is a baby and doesn't like to be in his pokeball and she really needs the moral support, okay?
And she'll start the difficult climb back up. Boy, climbing sand is difficult in winter.]
...I-I'm sorry again. About that.
no subject
[Even here. Pokemon life may not be the same kind of crazy as fighting aliens, but it's still pretty weird.]
no subject
...Mm. [She frowns uncertainly.] I guess it's not the strangest thing I've seen, either. [or done] I guess if we're being honest.

[If she wants...]
Mm, why don't we find someplace to sit down first?
no subject
[It's not too far to get to the cafe. Thankfully Violet isn't too busy of a town that they have to wait for a table.]
