Can anybody hear me?
Who:
biteisbigger and OPEN
Where: Right outside of Cherrygrove (assuming the Quiet Not-Quite-Quartet has just reached it after three days!)
When: Thursday evening, September 16, right after the thunderstorm
Summary: Kisa takes a breather before all hell breaks loose. ONCE AGAIN, action or prose are equally welcome!
Rating: G, most likely. No fear of language from this one.
Log:
Her feet hurt. It wasn't a complaint, just a quietly noted fact; Kisa wasn't accustomed to walking long distances and, even though both Artemis and Savyna had been kind enough to keep a slower pace for her sake, she'd pushed herself to keep up. It would have been much easier in her tiger form, but that was as tightly guarded a secret as the one that had sealed her words, so she'd made do with her normal body. At least they had finally made it to a town, as unnerved as the surprise storm had made her.
But Cherrygrove was full of people, some who stared too long at the little girl with the tawny hair and golden eyes until she was uncomfortably reminded of the stares and the mocking giggles of her classmates. Kisa had struggled against the urge to bolt in the presence of so many, feeling smothered, and had succeeded in doing so for as long as she could. However, with the storm abated, her Growlithe had practically herded her out to explore the grassy areas near the small town. The silent couldn't protest quite so well, and Kisa was honestly grateful for the chance to catch her breath. She didn't go very far, mindful of her "guardians", but it was nice not to have to worry about inconveniencing anyone.
Now, if only this fog would stop getting thicker. It was making the normally indomitable Ari creep back to Kisa's side, whining uneasily until Kisa rested a hand on her head. She knew exactly how the puppy felt.
The unknown was terrifying.
