A Much Awaited Reunion! (CLOSED)

Who: Flora and the Professor (Layton), more than likely Luke, Remi and Claire as well.
Where: Cherrygrove City, and around it probably
When: Tuesday, October 5th, around midday
Summary: It's been a long, long three days for Flora, but she's finally made it to Cherrygrove and is ready to reunite with her papa and mama the Professor and Claire.
Rating: It's Flora, man. She doesn't curse or anything, and neither does the Professor. G.
Log:
It really had been a long three days, and Flora was more than happy when she saw signs of the town ahead. She quickly ran along, her Pichu and Pidgey following. A lot was going through her head, and she wondered what was going to happen.

She was fully aware now that she came from a time after the Professor and Luke, but that shouldn't change anything, right? It did worry her, though, and she really, really hoped not. As she finally reached the town outskirts, she stopped to catch her breath. She did warn the Professor that morning that she was to arrive, and to be around town so she could find them.

So without any more distance to cover, Flora began walking around Cherrygrove, taking in the sights, and most notably the Pokémon Center.

After they reunited, she should probably go there...

It's been a pleasant morning for the Professor; much more pleasant than he could say for the month he was here for. He always woke up with a soft bed on and with a hot shower in the morning. It was a lot better than waking up on the cold dirt floor, just feeling the dirt and sweat covering him like a second layer of skin. Not to mention how chilly it was getting nowadays since autumn was arriving, so he was enjoying the warm morning. What was not to love, especially since he was surrounded with familiar faces he could easily trust.

And today, it would be the day where another one will join him.

Flora, his adopted daughter for reasons he would have to explain later, had notified that she was arriving in Cherrygrove City after three days of traveling. So, he had gotten up early and made sure to stay in an area where most newcomers would normally head to; the Pokemon Center, the market, or the beach. He himself chose the medical center. That was where most people would probably go to to heal their Pokemon, right? So that was where he was, sitting on the bench by the doors inside.

His little Vulpix sat on his lap as he looked around his bag. Flora would probably want some tea when she arrived, so he was trying to pull out his little bag of ingredients that he knew was around somewhere...somewhere...Walter, why did you think sleeping in his bag was a good idea? Now he can't find anything...Walter, why would you do this?

Aha, there was the bag! Now, what was you doing in the bottom corner? Walter wasn't able to move them all around just by sleeping it...right? But then again, it liked to kick in its sleep, even with that one leg of its.

At the sudden cries of some Pokemon (one he never heard of), he started to look up, only to be tackled into some kind of hug. His Vulpix let out a small cry of shock, jumping off his lap.

The Professor chuckled. He probably didn't need to look to know who was hugging him. "It's good to see you again, Flora," he greeted, returning the hug, smiling. It really was. Although he would prefer for Flora to stay back home in London where it was a lot safer, but if she was here, he couldn't do anything about it. He would just need to keep a good eye on her. "Have you been while since we last spoken?"

The Professor reached upward and fixed his top hat once Flora pulled away. She was always throwing around hugs that his hat kept tilting to the side. He actually couldn't think of a time when his hat ever once didn't, no matter who was giving the hugs. His hat was a little loose on him actually. His hair wasn't as poofy as it was ten years ago, so that might actually explain something.

He cleared his throat and smiled. "They will be arriving shortly. I believe today is the last day of work for them," he explained. He couldn't really remember if they finished today after work or if today was the day they no longer had to go work. He wasn't exactly sure, but he was at least sure that they'll come and see Flora. Why wouldn't they? Besides, he still needed to introduce Flora to Claire and Remi, if they have not yet met over the Pokegear. He should actually ask about that.

"Ah, this reminds me. Have you spoken to a 'Claire Folly" and a 'Remi Altava'? They will be traveling with us." He'll ask about this 'Future Luke' afterward. He just wanted to know if she met with these new faces, and not just an older version of Luke.

Well, the Professor still had no idea that the Claire here was one from his time from a complete miracle of the time machine, and not from before that explosion. So, he just naturally assumed that she didn't go through all of that. The same with Flora. He just assumed that she was the same time period as him and Luke.

Hershel places his hands on his knees and looked downward at the little Pichu and Pidgey. He gave a small smile. "Ah, so this is the little Pokemon that helped Flora in that attack. My thanks, Chu," he said, tipping his hat towards the yellow Pokemon and then turning towards the bird. "And yes, I have seen quite a lot of them while traveling on that road," he said, answering Flora's question before tipping his hat towards the bird as well. "But it is the pleasure to meet this Pidgey."

And now since Flora showed off her Pokemon, he supposed it was only right for him to introduce his party. Sitting up straight again, he reached for the second and third pokeball on his belt. Enlarging them with a press of a button, he threw them onto the floor, right beside his Vulpix, and caught them when they returned. What stood on the floor was a Hoothoot and a Duskull, both just staring at Flora and her Pokemon...Yeah, the Professor has no cute ones other than that Vulpix. He waved a hand towards his starter. "This is my starter partner, Vulpix. Her name is, erm..Claire.." Yup, the Professor was still a bit embarrassed about that. It really wasn't that embarrassing when the actual Claire wasn't around...Anyway, he pointed towards the Hoothoot then the ghost. "That one is Walter the Hoothoot, and Grim the Duskull." All three Pokemon let out a small cry in hello. Hi there, weird girl with the weird Pokemon!

"Although Walter and Grim may seem intimidating, they are quite helpful and tame," he added. Well...hopefully that won't make Flora all jumpy and scared of them...well, less jumpy and scared. It probably wasn't the best thing to know that her adopted father had a bird that tried to kill her and a grim reaper ghost that would want to eat her soul...Oops...
puzzling: (...Is this instant tea?)

The Hoothoot jumped up and down before flapping its wings and taking off into the air. It flew above Chu, chirping; "Hoo~ Hoo--oot!" "Whatever, weird Pokemon! You don't look interesting anyway!" And with that, it flew away before it could get shocked, and perched itself on top of its trainer's top hat, earning a small "oof". The Professor looked upward at the bird-- well, at much as he can with the Pokemon on his hat and away from his line of view --and gave it a small frown. This bird was honestly going to break his neck one day from perching on his hat. Walter was much to heavy to do such things.

As for Grim the Duskull, it just stared at Flora, its single glowing red eye shifting from one eye hole to another. It stopped pulling pranks and nightmares on humans and Pokemon, but it did still enjoy scaring the living pants and fur out of some. It only stopped when Claire-- the Vulpix, mind you --gave it a small nudge with her head. "Stop that at once. You're scaring the poor girl," the Vulpix's stare seemed to say. Well...gotta listen to the older Pokemon. Her embers hurt a lot.

The Professor let out a mental sigh as he watched his Pokemon fool around. Grim and Walter were always so hard to keep under control. Thankfully for Claire, it normally didn't get too out of hand...though it didn't always stop from scaring people like Flora. He gave a reassuring smile as to calm her down. "I promise you that no harm will come from any of my Pokemon, Flora. I will make see to that."

The Professor placed a hand to his top hat's brim and moved it around a bit, trying to make it sit comfortable on his head again. Walter was really trying to make his life difficult. Hopefully its claws won't be damaging the hat.

Going back to Flora's question, he gave the Pokemon Center a quick scan and looked back at the girl with the same reassuring smile. "They will be arriving shortly. I would not be surprised if they arrived any minute now." Well, at least he hoped so.

Claire came along the corner right on cue, laughing a bit when she saw Hershel's owl sitting on his head.

"Get down from there, Dear, you're too heavy. You could make it collapse." She saw Flora, too, smiling gently.

"Flora! It's good to see you, did you make it alright?" As she approached, she held out her hand for the girl to shake.

Walter hooted and turned away from Claire. No one tells it what to do when it is on its perch! This top hat was like its nest and no one challenges it when it was on its "nest". Nope, not one person or Pokemon will convince it to come down otherwise.

Hershel pushed himself up from the bench and tipped his hat towards Claire...well, at much as he can without having the Hoothoot break his neck and fall off. "Ah, and here she is. Just on time as well." Well, if there was a time to even meet with. "I assume the two of you have already made contact over the network?" And that was the only way the Professor believed the two knew each other, nothing more. He had not the slightest clue that the two already met in his future. Of course, who would think so? Because Claire couldn't be in the future, right? She passed away ten years ago.

Claire gave Walter a little glare, waving her hands at it. Shoo, shoo, get off his hat!

She quietly nodded at Hershel. "Yes, we have." Then, she gestured at the owl. "Can't you get him to stay in his ball?"
