[It's Friday morning and Ven's outside the local inn waiting for his friends to come outside. Having woken up bright and early, Ven is still fending off a few yawns as he stretches and blinks at the cheerful rays of the sun peeking over the horizon.

Although he promised lunch, breakfast is a lot sooner, and Ven's far too eager to spend time with everybody now that they're here. Following another yawn he grins happily and waits for everybody else to wake up and come outside. It might just be a while, but hey, his Teddiursa's stretching and yawning alongside him]

[Guess who's already up and doing a morning jog? :|]

[What a coincidence! Riku here is out and about himself for some morning exercise.

However, when he sees Terra? He's going to head right his way.]

Hey.

[He slows down when he hears Riku, coming to a stop. It's been a long time since he's last seen him, he still needs to get used to the changes. Geeze, kid, you got tall.]

Morning. You're up early.

Could say the same about you.

[He crosses his arms.]

[Terra merely shrugs, sitting down to do some stretches.]

Well, after so many years of waking up at dawn, you get used to it.

Well, there's nothing wrong with getting an early start.

[If anything, he can relate. And... hmmm. He'll go ahead and join Terra in his stretches.]

[Such an overachiever, little prodigy. Man, he's so proud. ;w;]

So Sora must be the only one who sleeps in, huh?

He sleeps like a rock. When we were supposed to be building a raft, Kairi caught him sleeping on the job.

I think that says a lot about him.

[He might be trying extra hard today, though! Must impress Terra!]

[Pffft, he's chuckling but plays along.] Must be hard, pulling his weight while taking care of your own responsibilities.

You've got that right. He's lucky he's had me and Kairi, or he'd be hopeless.

[This is why Terra's so awesome. Ven will watch him for a few moments, and then he'll dart after his big bro, attempting to catch up]

[it is probably painfully obvious that Sora here is not much of a morning person when he finally wanders out of the inn-- he's blinking like he's only half awake, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes and trying to run his hands through his hair to fix the fierce bedhead. it's actually Puddles who woke him up this morning, and who is nudging Sora along toward Ven. this appears to be something of a morning routine.]

All right, all right, I'm up, Puddles.

[Pssh. By the time Sora's up, Riku's been out for a while.

And because of it? He's gonna make it known.]

About time you got up.

[wait for it-- wait for it-- Sora yaaaawwwwns. is he a Sora or a Slowpoke? who knows.]

Aw, it's not that late.

And you're still tired. How late were you up last night?

[Tsk, tsk. He shakes his head.]

I wasn't up that late!

[yes, he was. Sora grins and socks Riku on the shoulder, friendly.]

Besides, would you prefer me rested, or really cranky?

I don't know. Is it even possible for you to be cranky?

[Pfff. He'll elbow Sora in the ribs.]

You've just never seen me not well rested!

[though, he most likely has-- knowing these two, a "who-can-stay-up-the-longest" contest has probably happened at some point in their lives. and Sora likely lost. poppin' you back on the arm, good sir.]

[After watching Puddles nudge Sora for a while, Terra's Diglett decides this must be a cool new game! So he'll just head on over and nudge Sora's shoe a bit with his snout. :|b]

[it is a nudging Sora frenzy! he's used to Puddles nudging him, but a Diglett is definitely a new one; he crouches down to sort-of Diglett height with a grin.]

Hey there! G'morning!

Diglett!! [Which is Diglett speak for "good morning". Sora looks kind of like the people he trainer likes to hang with, so he's just gonna stick next to him until Terra comes back from his morning manly routine.]

Where'd your trainer go, huh?

[reaches out and pats Diglett's head lightly-- Puddles, meanwhile, can't help but sniff at Diglett curiously. sorry, just checking to see if he's edible.]

[what's that? why, it's a hair-ruffle, just for Sora]

Good morning, Sora!

[should Ven be allowed to be this cheery in the morning? because he's practically glowing today. a bunch of his friends, all in one place - he can't ask for much more than that]

[look, that fixed his bedhead! Sora grins up at Ven-- just barely awake or not, that cheeriness is infectious.]

Mornin', Ven! I'm the last one up again, looks like.

[best contagion ever, cheer]

To be fair, Terra and Aqua get up really, really early sometimes.

Mmm... I don't think I even remember the last time I was up that early.

[ If anyone's the first one up, it's probably Aqua as she walks back toward the inn, hiding a yawn behind her hand. Her Marill walking beside her looks up at its trainer and pouts ]

I know, I know. I should have gone to bed earlier if I were going to get up that early. I'll make sure we do next time? Alright?

[ The Keyblade wielder smiles at her starter ]

[look, Aqua, a zombie! er, a half-asleep kid standing by the inn with a Girafarig nudging him in the face with his snout. he'll snap fully awake one of these days.]

[Darn, and he thought he could finally beat you this morning. X( But anyway, he just so happens to be sitting on the dirt outside the inn and... doing some sit-ups, or something just as manly.]

You could always go back to sleep if you want. Ven and I can save some food for you.

[Well, they had to meet sooner or later! Though Riku doesn't have a perfect recollection of Aqua, the blue hair sticks out enough to catch his attention, so he'll approach her.]

... Aqua?

Good morning, Aqua!

[Drowsy or not, Ven's happy to greet Aqua with a bright grin]
