It's good to see the sun and feel this place

Who: Zack, Leon, Lockon, and Carly
Where: New Bark Town and then ONWARD
When: Backdated to Saturday
Summary: They all eventually meet up to travel to Cherrygrove! And probably fail at something or other.
Rating: G
Log:
Zack had to, several times, grab Green by the arm and tug him back to the edge of town. "Green, c'mon, cool it! I know we were all rarin' to go, but now we gotta we for some people!" He said, pulling him back once more. "I'll put you back in this ball thing like the Professor said to!"

The Scyther sighed and finally stopped, looking huffy and bored. He wanted to leave! Why did his trainer suddenly want to wait for people? It didn't make sense! Zack let go and put his hands on his hips. What was he going to do with this thing? After a few more moments, he sat down and opened up the pack his "Mom" gave him. Let's see, hair cleaning stuff, extra clothes that he didn't recognize, some food (...not a whole lot of food, man he was going to starve), a book, and a sleeping bag. There was some other stuff he didn't recognize but he would get those too, for now, he decided to read the bottle of shampoo. These ingredients simply flew over his head. "...how exactly does this clean someone's hair?"

"How do you usually clean your hair?" Leon asked, stepping up to Zack. Skarmory was following along, looking like a very large, very pointy puppy. She chirred at Scyther in a friendly greeting. Leon eyed the contents of the pack scattered around Zack. "There isn't much interesting in there besides the manual. You should give it a read-through."

whoops. Next time I should fully read the first post

Carly, meanwhile, had no idea what she was doing or who she was looking for. Lockon had mentioned friends, but she had no idea who she was looking for.

"Uh! Uh!" wait, what were their names? She didn't even know their names! Okay Carly, calm down and think...

Was it...Leo? No, that didn't sound right.

Every time Carly went in a circle, Psyduck did the same thing, like he was expecting something to happen.

... i would be the last one to tag a log.

Lockon glanced over as Carly continued her slight-- to him anyway --fit of confusion. She was a bit strange, yes, but he could tell that she was a nice person at least. And that mattered, right? In any case he now had a little group of people he could rely on as friends in a way.

At least he knew who he was looking for.

"Leon! Zack!" He called out when he spotted them, a grin tugging at his lips, "We're here~"

"For what it's worth, if we're going to be using it out there, it's probably all bio-degradable," Leon remarked, turning when he spotted the two others coming their way.

"Lockon," he greeted, nodding to the other man. He and Lockon were about evenly matched in height; Leon wasn't used to not having to look down. Eventually he turned his attention to the girl going in circle. This must be the Carly Lockon had mentionned. "I'm Leon."

yay!

Well, that had clarified some things. Carly wasn't one for being inconspicuous, and this was one of times. But she put on a bright smile, "I'm Carly! It's nice to meet you!"

Leon! That was the name she was trying to remember. And then there was Zack. She could remember those names!

It certainly wasn't long before Romeo-- Lockon's newly-named Growlithe --made his way over to Skarmory, quite adamant about figuring out just what she was. He barked and sniffed around, sure not to get too close just in case this bird had developed a habit of turning.

Lockon on the other hand smiled as his supposed new group of friends greeted one another, "I guess everyone's ready to go, right?" The "team leader" mentality had certainly not gone anywhere. Organization was key~ Even if this little traveling excursion was a bit different from anything he was used to.

Skarmory pawed around in distaste as Growlithe sniffed about her tall legs. She cawed lightly, annoyed. Couldn't he see that she was a steel-type? Did he have to sniff her like that? She dipped her head to prod him away. A snap of Leon's fingers brought her back to attention.

"Behave," he reminded her, and eager to please him, she took to ignoring Romeo's sniffing. Instead, she focused her attention on Green again, noticing how transluscent his wings were. Could he even fly with those?

As for Leon, he could definitely appreciate being organised, and had been ready to leave for some time already. "Ready when you are," he declared, adjusting the backpack straps. He was looking forward to getting to Cherrygrove, and the sooner they left the sooner they'd be there. He couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt for leaving that little girl behind, but it was definitely safer for her to stay and wait for her brother than leave and risk missing him.

Carly checked her pockets, her bag-it was full of something ruffly, and she had no interest in finding out exactly what that was yet. Otherwise, she had nothing else...

"I'm ready! I think..." She looked at Psyduck, who looked back at her, and tilted his head. She had no idea why he was holding his head or why his expression never seemed to change. Maybe she'd figure it out at some point. But she couldn't exactly just wait to figure out Psyduck. She could figure that out as they walked!

"Romeo, leave her alone," Lockon called his Growlithe back to his side before waving in the direction they were headed. He had pondered asking the rest of the people around to come with, but the girl with the Lapras seemed pretty content with trying to swim off in another direction entirely... It would definitely save his Pokegear from being broken, in any case.

"Let's go!" With that, he started off, just walking and quite sure that everyone else would follow suit. Romeo pranced along next to him, dragging a stick along with him, "So some of you guys have friends here, right? Are you meeting up with them in the next town?"

There was the likelihood that at least a couple of them had friend, but he was unaware of the fact that he was the only one without someone else looking for him here...

Leon nodded as well. "I'm meeting someone in Cherrygrove too, but only a few days after we get there. She's coming in from Violet."

Skarmory padded along at his side, happy when the road turned to dirt and the trees started to get thicker. Maybe she could find some berries!

for a second I thought I responded to the wrong post XD

Carly wasn't finding herself trailing, fortunately, but Psyduck was slow to waddle, so he was a few feet behind her.

"I have a friend, but I don't know if he's coming back for me..." Jack had been so weird in parts of that conversation. Was something wrong?

god robyn stop sucking so much gawwww

"You guys are pretty lucky then. They probably know a lot about this place already."

As he figured. It didn't matter, though. If he was by himself, he could either keep going that way, or try to find a free space in someone else's group.

Traveling alone wasn't really his idea of fun in the first place. And being alone in a strange area could be more dangerous... He had to keep reminding himself that this Johto wasn't Earth back in his world. Which was a little harder to shake than he'd thought...

"If he doesn't, you can stick with me until we find him, Carly," He looked over his shoulder and gave her a smile.

Skarmory looked back at Psyduck, watching as the distance between him and the rest of the group increased. Finally she broke away from Leon's side and padded up to him, settling down so that her back was within reach. Why didn't he get on? She had more than enough legs for the both of them!

Leon had to agree that Zack had a point. There wasn't a dearth of people to meet here, after all. Plus, Lockon seemed the type to socialize easily.

[identity profile] hittheroadjack.livejournal.com 2010-10-23 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Psyduck looked at Skarmory with the head tilt and a "Psy?" But after a few minutes, he crawled on her back and held on tight.

"You're welcome to stick with me even if I do find him! We can travel together!" Carly gave a big smile. The last thing she'd ever want to do here was travel alone, and she wouldn't wish that on anyone else. Lockon was certainly no exception. And Jack wouldn't say no to something like that, right?

"Regardless," he turned on his heel, starting to walk backward, completely unbothered by the fact that he could easily trip over something, "I'm happy I've made some friends here already."

Growlithe let out a happy bark, looking up at his master and his silly style of walking.
