Summary: A wild Takatomon appears! What will Daisuke do? Battle him or run away? NEITHER he talks to him and they venture onward to Taichi-senpai and Mimi-san!

Log: Daisuke groaned quietly as he watched his new--whatever it was (how was he supposed to know what type of name it had? The only thing it did was make guttural noises!) decided to investigate a bush.

"Hey, you--! Get back here!" Daisuke called out as he trailed after the blue reptile. Honestly! Sure he was curious about this new place as well, but he had more important things to do first! And Daisuke's main priority was getting to Taichi-senpai and Mimi-san as quick as possible!

But, unfortunately Totodile didn't pay heed to Daisuke's warning and decided to explore a little. A glint of happiness shone in it's little eyes as he saw his next victim to pounce on. He wasn't gonna do anything bad to it, he just wanted to pounce! That's all, honest... And so, with that Totodile waited until the time was right and jumped on the poor unsuspecting Smeargle.

"Wahhh! No, bad! Dude, I'm so sorry--" Daisuke said as he reached for Totodile's stubby little arm.

Smeargle was unamused. Totodile had startled him out of his mid-afternoon nap. And really, he had only one response for this.

The beagle-like pokemon swipes his tail across the other pokemon several times, leaving broad streaks of green paint, and then merely gets up and sits down several feet away.

Takato, meanwhile, is over on the other side of the clearing, looking at an interesting tree. He turns around just in time to see Smeargle's newest artistic attempt and quickly runs over. "Smeargle! You can't do that! Remember what I said about drawing on paper? I am so, so sorry!"

Totodile looked down at the green paint and flashed a toothy grin.

Daisuke sighed as he shook his head. "No, no, it's fine. It's his fault anyways. So I'm sorry about that." Daisuke said as he gave a small frustrated glare at Totodile. He then looked over at Takato and blinked.

"Oh--hey! You're that--uhh Tamer kid right?"

Takato blinks and looks a little confused. "Um, yes? Wait... Are you one of the other kids with Digimon partners I talked to?"

Daisuke nodded as he extended his arm out. "Yeah, I'm Daisuke. It's nice to meet you in person I guess!"

Takato smiles and shakes his hand. "Same here. I'm Takato."

Daisuke grinned as he shook Takato's hand. His smile widened as an idea hit him. "Say! Are you going anywhere? 'Cause if you aren't do you wanna join me? I'm about to head out to find the other Digi-destineds!"

Takato smiles sheepishly. "Actually, I'm trying to do the same thing. Taichi said I could travel with you guys, since there isn't anyone else from my group here."

"Really? That's cool! Haha I shoulda known that Taichi-senpai would be one step ahead!" Daisuke said as he slid his backpack off. "Just lemme clean up this little troublemaker cleaned up and we can head out!" And with that Daisuke pulled out a bottle of water and some kind of towel. He unscrewed the cap and gently poured water onto it and went to work cleaning up his pokémon.

Takato crouches down and watches. "Sure, traveling is always more fun with more people. Um, do you need any help?"

Daisuke nodded. "Haha yeah! And you get to meet new people!" Daisuke paused as he scrubbed at Totodile's belly. "Hmm? Oh, nahh, I got it! Thanks for offering though." Daisuke grinned.

He smiles. "Almost like a new adventure."

Takato stops and looks over at his Smeargle who is determinedly ignoring them both and sighs. "Though I really need to teach him to stop painting on everything."

Daisuke chuckles. "Haha yeah!"

Daisuke follows suit except he looks down at his own pokémon and frowns. "Yeah, I know what you mean. This guy needs to stop eating my food and sneaking up on people..."

"That doesn't sound so bad. I mean, Impmon and Guilmon and Culumon did that kind of thing all the time."

"Wuh--well it's not really bad. I was just saving it for lunch..." Daisuke frowned as he shook his head. "But anyways, where do we head off to?" Daisuke asked as he got to his feet once his Totodile was clean.

Someone told me that I just needed to follow the road until I found the next city.

"Really? Haha good thing we're going together then!" Daisuke grinned.

Takato laughs. "Yeah, I would probably get lost by myself."

Daisuke chuckled. "Haha I would too probably! But I'm sure we'll be able to get somewhere if we try! And I'll be able to point out Mimi-san and Taichi-senpai!"

"Hey, that's something! I've only met them over these communicator things."

Daisuke nodded. "Mhmm! I have a feeling you'll really like Taichi-senpai!"

Takato smiles and picks up his backpack. "I think so too. They both sound really nice."

[Daisuke nods.] Mhmm!

And this'll be interesting seeing Mimi-san with her natural hair color!

Takato blinks. "Eh? Does she usually hide it?"

Daisuke tilt's his head to the side. "Maybe? One day it was pink with red streaks and stars, and then the next it was different."

Takato considers this thoughtfully and smiles cheerfully. "That sounds fun to watch! Like drawing something new every day."

"Drawing?" Daisuke asked curiously as he tilted his head to the side.

Takato smiles a little sheepishly. "I like to draw. THough I really only know how to draw digimon."

"Oh! I see!" Daisuke laughed as he smiled brightly.
