Forward dated to tomorrow morning~
Who: Canada and France
Where: New Bark Town
When: October 25, morning
Summary: France comes back to New Bark to get Canada. Canada is very excited to see his papa.
Rating: I suspect G. FAMILY LOVE.
Log:
New Bark Town really wasn't too bad, Canada had decided. It was small and quiet, just like the trading posts he stayed at so often at home, but it was much cleaner and better taken care of. The people here were fairly friendly, if very odd(why did they keep saying the same thing over and over again?). It was odd that he couldn't find his usual connection with neither his native people nor his colonists, but it settled into the background before too long. The food wasn't as good as France-papa's, but it was edible and he wasn't really one to complain.
The best part was probably Sedna. Although people had insisted that she wasn't the spirit he had originally assumed she was, he remained convinced that she was his beloved goddess of marine life. It had been a long time since he'd last seen her, so it was no surprise that she'd picked a new form, right? The Seel followed him everywhere, shared food with him, and swam in the water at the edge of town while he watched.
In fact, that was what they were doing now. Canada had settled a few feet away from the edge to watch Sedna splash around in the water. He was spending the nights with the professor, but he liked to be out and about during the day- otherwise, he felt a little bit in the way, and that just wasn't polite. Plus, this was around when France-papa was supposed to arrive! If he was outside, perhaps he could spot him early and meet up with him. The idea that France might go to the Professor's house looking for him hadn't quite occurred to the little colony.

[1/2]
The ledges he jumped off of would have bothered him in other circumstances, but he didn't care right now. Keeping an eye on Marianne who was more than happy to bound along beside him, France kept running, heading pell-mell ahead until he got to New Bark Town.
"Canada!"
[2/2]
"Canada, France is here!"
no subject
"France-papa! You're here, you're here!" He squeals, cuddling into his father country's chest and staying there, still laughing. He normally tried not to be so noisy when expressing himself, but this was different, this was France!
He leans his head up once he's done with his initial delighted snuggling, to kiss his father on each cheek, familiar with the greeting by now. It had been strange only back when the first settlers arrived.
"I missed you, papa!" He smiles cheerfully up at him.
[ooc: asdfjkl; this child is so very adorable~]
He brought Canada into a tight hug, snuggling the child against his chest and leaning down to place kisses on the soft crown of Canada's head.
"I missed you, too, Canada."
He swallows, cuddling the boy close and looking up at the sky. It is difficult not to cry, smiling so wide and heart almost exploding in happiness. After all this time...
"God. How I missed you."
[ooc: It is because he loooooves yoooou~]
He closes his eyes and clings to his father country, clutching at his shirt with little child fingers. He nuzzles France a little, smiling brightly.
"C-can you stay for a long visit this time, papa?" He asks hopefully, opening his eyes again to peer up at France. There have been troubles across the ocean recently, at least where he comes from, so its been a while since he's had France all to himself.
[ooc: omg I want a baby Canada of my own *A*]
France absentmindedly begins to rock back and forth, his right arm coming about to cradle Canada comfortably and his left hand drawing idle circles on the boy's tiny shoulder. Humming softly, he smiles down at the child, eyes softened and lips upturned into a sincerely happy smile.
"We will be together for as long as we are in this world together because I am going to protect you. I promise."
[ooc: I know what I'm getting yoooou for christmas~]
"Y-you mean that, papa? Y-you're staying?" His voice is high pitched, and he's so excited he doesn't seem to know what to do with himself. He eventually decides on burying his face back into France's shoulder and tightening his grip on his father.
It took this long for Sedna to notice what was going on at the edge of the water, but she comes over to check it out now. The Seel pulls herself up out of the water fairly effortlessly and settles at France's feet, blinking up at this strange man and wondering what he is doing to her trainer.
[ooc: asdfjkl; 0A0]
"Yes," he murmurs, kissing the crown of Canada's head again and blinking back tears, "I am staying."
He doesn't notice Sedna, but Marianne does. The Vulpix, who had been a little miffled that her France wasn't playing his usual amount of fawning attention to her sidles up to catch the Seel's attention, sitting down and fluffing her tail out behind her, clearly attempting to show that France belonged to her.
"Vul vulpix!"
[ooc: ♥]
"Oh, wow! Th-that's great!" He squeals, still too excited to shift back into his usual tiny little whisper.
Seel seems... completely unphased by the Vulpix's attitude. Instead, she gives a playful bark and nudges the fire pokemon with a damp nose.
"Seeeeeel~"
[ooc: <333]
"I'm so happy you would want to spend so much time with me," he murmurs gently, snuggling Canada. "I always love spending time with you."
Marianne turns her snout up at first before exclaiming in indignant surprise at Sedna's cold nose.
"Vulpix!"
no subject
"Of course I want to spend time with you, papa!" He giggles and smiles up at him. "I love you!"
Sedna seems to ignore the displeasure, and instead laughs in her strange seel voice and nudges the other pokemon again.
no subject
He pets Canada's hair gently, kissing the boy on both cheeks. "I love you, too," he murmurs gently before hugging the boy close.
Marianne lets out another indignant sound, taking a step back and clearly appearing to say she did not appreciate being nudged. Her tails whip about in agitation as she glares at the Seel.
no subject
Canada smiles happily and hugs back, giving a contented little hum. "I'm so happy you're staying... I've missed you..."
Well, Sedna finally seems to be getting it. She tilts her head to the side and makes a confused noise.
no subject
"I missed you, too," France whispers.
Oh, God, how he'd missed him... Perhaps all was not lost after all. He rocked Canada slightly, smiling widely.
"How are you feeling? Are you hungry or thirsty or sleepy?"
Marianne preens, showing off to Sedna with a huff. Obviously, she wishes to assert that she is top Pokemon here.
no subject
"W-well... It has been a while since breakfast..." And he's not really a fan of the professor's cooking. He's been spoiled by France and the french settlers who he stays with back home. True, there was only so much one could do with wild game and plants that could be gathered, but it was familiar, at least.
Sedna just claps her flippers enthusiastically, as if looking for an encore. I have a sneaking feeling these two are not going to get along very well.
no subject
"Hm... Unfortunately, I don't believe that I can borrow anyone's kitchen around here," France murmurs, inwardly rather peeved at that. "There also isn't a market in this town for some reason. I suppose we will just have to make do with some foraging for now. Come along."
He began to move them off towards Route 29, ready to get out of the entranceway to Hell.
Marianne gives Sedna an expression that clearly conveys are you mocking me?. Yeah, probably not.
FACT CHECKED BY A FRIEND OF AMERICA'S MUN
"But I don't mind berries! Sedna and me went into the woods with that book that was in the bag and found some tasty ones to snack on yesterday!" Canada can read, unlike America, although not particularly well. But it really came in handy when food relies on the ability.
Sedna nudges her new 'friend' again, hoping to snap her out of her bad mood. She then notices the strange man leaving with her trainer, and hurries to flop along after them.
Hah hah hah hah that's what friends are for!
Laughing, he bounces Canada in his arms, cuddling the boy close. "Then we will have a berry salad with some nuts I have in my bag. It's healthy, but it'll be very tasty, I promise."
Marianne makes to protest the nudge but also notices that France and the boy are going off somewhere. How dare they go away without her! She bounds off after them with a sharp Pix!
