Who: Shadow the Hedgehog and Rouge the Bat
Where: Union Cave
When: Monday, Jan. 24th
Summary: On their way to the next town, Azalea Town. But first, the cave.
Rating: PG right now.
Log:
Weather forecast today, too much snow. Snow was never an issue until the day she was grounded. Even though the whole idea of being human annoyed her, she doesn't plan on giving up that easily. Being a bat would have been easier, but this she'll have to do, and not to mention some more trivia, but that she can worry later. Whether you are non-human or dead, somehow this place can fix it up. Rouge has also learned of new information during her stay here.
After another battle with a trainer, Rouge continued her travel with Shadow down the route. It's almost been a week since they left Violet city. The snow continued to fall while they traveled through light patches of snow. At least the snow wasn't that hard. When they head closer towards the cave, a Skarmory flew down. It dropped an egg to Rouge and headed out again. Rouge stared at the egg for a long minute, then tucked it in her bag.
"They make it sound so simple."

He looked at the cave, then began to walk towards the entrance, speaking to Rouge without turning his head.
"What do you mean?"
no subject
She walked up to the cave entrance and peeked around. It was already illuminated.

His expression turned to one of interest, thinking about what Pokemon might be inside this cavern. Catching some would be second on his list, and he looked to Rouge.
"Let's go." The Ultimate Life form didn't waste much time in beginning to walk through the cave.

Rouge followed along into the cave. Inside, Rouge felt calm. Being a bat, she preferred dark places, and being human didn't change that. Even though it was illuminated already, her sight didn't feel the same as it used to. She could see better than this. Great, she can be blind as a human. She looked around as they walked in.

Some nearby rocks looked climbable, and he wasted no time in climbing over each of them, before turning to wait for Rouge.
"You must be frustrated not being able to utilize your abilities here, Rouge the Bat."

After a small jump, she landed on the other side.

"Hm?"
Said rock suddenly stood up on two arms, and had quite the nasty look about it, "Geo dude!!"
Rouge 1 | Shadow 0
"Found something?"
NOU
"Houndoom!" Shadow called, tossing the Pokeball and summoning forth the Hellhound.
Geodude stared angrily at the Houndoom, and seemed to start ranting at it, waving its arms around in frustration. Houndoom waited for orders, unmoving.
Don't be hating cause u lost the first round :p
When Shadow summoned Houndoom, Rouge's eyes widen a little. According to the manual, fire doesn't do well with rock types. Rouge pulled out her Pokédex and pointed to it. "Let's see what this has to say about it." It spoke out loud:
'Geodude, the Rock type Pokémon. It uses its arms to steadily climb steep mountain paths. It swings its fists around if angered.'
Rouge tilts her head, "hmm, so he is mad."
:[
"Houndoom, use Fire Blast!"
The Hellhound obeyed, leaping forward and taking in a deep breath before blasting a wall of fire at the rock Pokemon. The blast engulfed Geodude, and once the Pokemon was revealed, it was slightly blackened... and even more angry.
"GEO! DUDE! DUDE DUDE!!" It cried, before lunging forward and punching Houndoom quite strongly, sending the Pokemon skidding backwards somewhat.
"Tch." Shadow gritted his teeth, "Houndoom, use Growl!" His Pokemon did just that, snarling at the Geodude, intimidating the armed-rock somewhat... Enough to cause it to back down a little at least.
/pat pat pat
"Uh oh..."
From where she was, she began to walk up behind Shadow. She drew a pokéball out just in case.
"Is he giving you a hard time already?"

The Geodude mustered up the strength to fight again, and rushed to attack the Houndoom, though its attack had been severely weakened. Houndoom let out short grunts of pain, but nothing too serious. Shadow grinned, "Hmph. Houndoom, weaken it with Fire Spin!"
Houndoom howled in response before suddenly blasting out a tornado of fire, encircling Geodude within, successfully BURNing the Pokemon, despite the attack not being very effective.

At least the pokémon is weakening. Her eyes widen a bit when she saw the Fire Spin attack. That's one puppy not to mess with.

There was some shaking going on... but eventually, it was still. He'd caught a blackened Geodude.
"Ultimate victory." Shadow mused to himself, appreciative of his own skill.

She walked passed him with a grin., "shall we continue?" Rouge hopped over one rock but what she didn't expect was a steep hill on the other side. A couple rocks slipped where her foot was. Next thing she knew it, she began to loose balance ready to slide on down. Rouge let out yelp.

His mind was made up, however, when a flash of Maria's face in his mind got him moving. He growled and hurried over, throwing his arm out to catch her hand.
"Troublemaker!"
no subject
"That was thoughtful of you."

"More than that? That's an impossibility. Besides, it would have been inconvenient to have you die here. Your Pokemon would be lost, as well."
no subject
Just when things were about to get interesting, the area around began to shake a little. A low growl echoed near by. Rouge's movement quickly came to a halt. "An earthquake?"
no subject
"I don't think so..."

After a moment of shaking, a large-snake like rock rises from the rubble looking down at the two, an Onix. This is probably the first time Rouge ever seen something this large. By the looks of it, he seemed pretty angry about something. Onix let out another growl.
"You've got to be joking."

Considering how much trouble he had with Geodude, he couldn't imagine beating this thing. The Ultimate Life form stood close to Rouge, prepared to knock her out of the way if it tried anything... Not that he cared about her. As he said before, it'd be inconvenient if she died.
fdlsfjasld YES *_* /listens while typing
Rouge quickly jumped out of the way and away from Shadow. She hoped he did the same at least. Rouge glared up at the snake-like rock, "You're really pissing my off!" The gloves are coming off, well not literally. Rouge pulls out her Pokéball and tosses it to the air.
"Go, Staryu!" Within a flash of light, Staryu is summon in the air. Rouge didn't waste time and shouts her first command. "Water Gun!" Just as said, Staryu sprays the Onix. The Onix, well, he's starting to back up.
It's from the Pokemon anime. :D at least, the first season ever.
When Rouge voiced her anger, Shadow looked to her, then stared in surprise (and perhaps some jealousy) at the Water type she sent out. Fitting, that she'd have a jewel Pokemon with her. The water attack was super effective against the Onix, who was now backing up and growling in pain. Looks like it hadn't expected these two travelers to actually have anything strong against its type.
Oh! I know, I am just amused and squealing like a fangirl. *w*
"Now, Rapid Spin!"
Staryu begins to spin rapidly breaking Onix's Bind move. The Pokémon had no choice but to release the star-shape pokémon. Staryu continues to rapid spin towards Onix only knocking his head barely. Onix shakes his head looking after that small collision. He then lets out a Screech. Not this again, Rouge clamps her ears. Her and loud sounds don't go well. Staryu lands on the ground shaking. The gem on her blinks, possibly affected by it.
:D
Instead, he just yells at Rouge. Because that was easier.
"What are you doing?! Finish it off!"
no subject
"They like to go the hard way."
no subject
"That Pokemon might make traversing the landscape somewhat easier for us."
no subject
Rouge pulls out her Pokédex. "Now... let's get some real info on him."
The Pokédex said, "Onix, the Snake Rock Pokémon. It rapidly bores through the ground at 50 mph by squirming and twisting its massive, rugged body."
no subject
"I see... Well, we should be able to get it to move above ground easily enough. We can't exactly bore in these bodies."
no subject
She tosses the Pokéball out releasing the caught Onix. When the Pokémon was released, it let out a roar. "Easy big boy," Rouge called out to him as she scavenge her bag for potion. First thing first, get this pokémon up to health. The Onix stared down at the two.
no subject
Taking a few steps forward, he placed a hand to one of Onix's boulders, before wasting no time in climbing onto it. It hadn't tried to crush them at this moment, Shadow had little worry that it would attempt at all.
Pokemon were better off knowing their place.
no subject
"Onix, over here," Rouge called for his attention successfully. "We got a little dilemma here, and I hope you could help us out," Rouge began. "You'll meet better opponents out there anyway than this cave," Rouge added with a wink.
There was silent at first. Slowly, the Onix descends his head to the ground for Rouge to hop on. Either this rock head knew how to treat a lady or he accepted her as his master. It didn't matter either way. Rouge does so and the Onix rose his head. At least the cave was big enough or she would had to ride in the back with Shadow. She looked back at Shadow to see how he's hanging. When he was ready, Rouge gave the word.
"Let's go."
