The adventures of Lion, Battler and the magical Spoilerdump.
Who: Those wacky Ushiromiyas
isthedeadcat and
veritadorata
Where: Dining area of the Cherrygrove Inn.
When: January 27th, as Battler arrives
Summary: Of all the people from Lion's (set of) world(s) who are here, Battler is probably the only person safe enough to hear this story. It's also pretty important, but never mind that.
Rating: PG-13 for incest mentions and BEATORIIIIICHEEEEE!!!11ONE
Log:
Lion wasn't exactly certain of what was going to happen next.
It had been nice to see a familiar face, even if that face was clearly from one of the other Fragments, and even if Battler had been pretty much convinced that he was delusional.
As someone who had the thought 'I must be delusional' more than a few times in the last weeks, Lion knew perfectly that waiting for things to settle and for Battler to assume that this was reality would be the best chance.
Offering some soup and promising to tell the story behind the seventh game was a bit of an involuntary action. Not that Lion regretted it, at least not yet, but it still had been a spur of the moment thing.
Lion, who was one for planning ahead as much as possible, wondered if that was the kind of things that a near death (or maybe complete death) experience did to the brain.
Well, at any rate, at this point thinking on what to say and what not to say was more important than anything. Lion carefully tucked in the three recently adopted pokémon eggs in the bed, using one of the leftover blankets as something of a nest, and sat to take some more notes.
The pokémon's reactions to the eggs were interesting and completely noteworthy. Julia had pretty much adopted the three as hers, and Ennis sometimes transformed into an egg and joined the others, probably asking for attention.
It was cold outside and it had been raining and hailing for a long while... Lion gave a sidelong look to the pokégear, hoping that Battler would make it to Cherrygrove safely.
[Feel free to actiontag this thing, as usual I just think prose posts are spiffy xD]

[Should he answer? Lion doesn't seem like a bad person. And yet... he had learned nothing is as it seems. Not even himself.]
Two demons had just set up a game. Things are blurry after that.

As far as I know, Bernkastel just set up everything in order to test some theories, and to continue her petty revenge on Beatrice.

Will-san had already been informed of everything that had happened in the previous games. And Bernkastel... Assigned me as his partner.
We were both unwilling, but knowing there was no other way to leave the chapel, where she had trapped us, we set out to solve that mystery.

[Shakes his head with an apologetic but serious look, urging Lion to continue. The cheerful smile seemed like something from years ago.]

The things I learned... You have probably figured many of them, but others may come as surprises. Do you really want me to tell you everything?

[He needs to know... how much Lion knows. How dangerous Lion can be.]
Aaaand, here come the spoilers xD
We learned about Beatrice's origins... And we also understood why Beatrice did not exist as a witch in the fragment where I came from. [Have a pause here, and a frown.]
I'm... Really confused about where I should start telling this tale, actually. I have been thinking about it ever since I decided to talk to you about this. But I believe it is only right that I start by telling you who I am, and why I am involved in this.
[Closes eyes and takes a deep breath. Next, Lion looks at Battler and... oh, here it comes, slowly so Battler can give a quick digestion of each sentence.]
I am Ushiromiya Lion, the successor of the family headship. Adopted child of Natsuhi and Krauss. Child of Kinzo and the Kuwadorian Beatrice. Grandchild of Kinzo and an italian woman named Beatrice Castiglione.
In all other Fragments I am also known as Beatrice the Golden Witch.
[Ding ding ding, merry Christmas, Battler xD]
Brain: *crack*
...yes... it makes sense. Though it didn't made sense at all at the same time. This could be a lie from his own mind, but Battler knows, as he joins the dots, that he's not mistaken. Lion is what she should've been. Lion is what she dreamed to be. Lion is... untainted by his sin.
He stands up, and slowly walks to Lion in silence. He doesn't care he cornered his "cousin" to the wall, or how close they are right now. Was this real?
Was it...?]
Lion just thought it would be a nice way to start the talk xD
Not creepier than Bernkastel, thanks god, but still quite the creep.
But Lion is not one to easily back down. The ability to struggle on as long as we have life is what makes us human. Not now. The promise to be her salvation. Not ever.
When Lion talks, there is no hint of anything but a careful curiosity.]
Battler?
Bad idea.
WELL, IT WAS IMPORTANT. (go to the mainnn possst, do eeet xD)
This was probably important for Battler too. Just because of that, Lion will put up with it as long as it stays just
platonicslightly awkward and not completely awkward. On the contrary, Battler will be getting either a nice pinch in the ass, or a knee to the privates.]
