Summary: Cocona and Haseo finally get the battle that they've been waiting for!
Rating: G! Just pokemon battling.

Perhaps this day wasn't the best day to battle.

As Cocona was making her way to the place where she and Haseo would meet up, she noticed puddles that were iced over in various places. Even the usual tall grass seemed frozen and the colors were fading from its usual green to yellow. Cocona made sure to watch her step as she walked, carrying her Pikachu, Kuro, in her arms for possible warmth. After all, she couldn't carry her once Vulpix anymore; her evolved form was much too big for a tiny girl to carry.

But she didn't really want to wait any longer for their battle. Even the Pokegear had said that the weather would get worse as the week passed and she had no idea what her schedule would be if her group ever left Goldenrod City.

Most of all, she was bored.

However, she kept quiet and huddled up in the huge coat of hers, which could even fit Kuro in there as well and Kuro's head poked out from it. It bothered Cocona sometimes because the ears would hit her face.

She took notice of the weather once more and decided that perhaps the weather could actually work in her advantage today. That was as if her Pokemon would cooperate, of course.

Four Pokemon to fight with... She was getting a bit excited because she could finally battle someone who was strong! Not like those Junior Campers up north of Goldenrod. They were just too easy to beat.

She hoped that she would actually get a challenge.

[Haseo is currently waiting at the location, watching his Jumpluff fly around, examining the ice. He got there early, just in case. Since it was cold, he didn't think it would be fair to make a young girl wait out in it.

Haseo smiles a little. He's actually looking forward to the battle, since most of the trainers he's seen around have been too easy. It was like using his Avatar against regular players in the Arena. One hit and they're knocked out. He has a feeling that the battle today won't be like that, though.]

[As she arrived closer to the meeting location, she spots Haseo and waves.]

I'm here! [She starts picking up the pace a bit, but was careful about the ice.]

[Haseo looks away from his Jumpluff when he hears Cocona's voice, and he waves back.]

Are you ready?

Yeah! [She holds three Pokeballs in her hands and giggles a bit.]

Alright then. Go, Sol! [She throws a Pokeball, releasing Furret out of his Pokeball.

brrr. Sol definitely took notice of the weather, but looks to be steady as if he's a tad bit used to the temperature.]

A Furret, huh? [Haseo then throws a pokéball, releasing a Wigglytuff.] Come on, Atoli!

[Sol gathers a huge purple gunk and tosses a lot of those around in waves as to where Atoli is.]

Use Hyper Voice! [The poisoned Wigglytuff starts shouting.]

Sucker Punch!

[Sol zigzags around the sound waves with great speed and as if this was some action scene ripoff, Sol gives a good PUNCH right at Atoli's face.]

[The Wigglytuff flies back about a foot, and Haseo scowls.] Atoli, Rest. [She falls sound asleep, restoring her health.]

Sol, Baton Pass!

[Sol curls up and retreats back into his Pokeball. Right before he went back in, he tagged Kuro in.]

Kuro, Thunder Wave! Use Charge after that!

[Kuro sends some static towards Wigglytuff and starts glowing in a faint yellow light.]

[Atoli wakes right back up from the shock.] Sing!

[The Wigglytuff starts singing a lullaby.]

T- ... Oh. [Kuro fell asleep, but there's still that weird glow around her.]

Atoli, use Wake-Up Slap! [The Wigglytuff runs over to Kuro and readies for a big slap.]

[Kuro rolls over, but doesn't do much else, so of course she gets slapped. And she wakes up and boy, is she furious.]

Kuro! Go go go!

[Kuro immediately latches herself onto Wigglytuff's back and lets out a charged Thunder attack.

Damn! [Haseo uses this turn to give Atoli a nice Hyper Potion.]

[But Kuro is just SO MAD RIGHT NOW that she unleashes Thunderbolt right at Atoli without her trainer's orders.]

Kuro, quietly charge and keep charging until his pokemon wakes up.

[And Kuro does so and the yellow light glows brighter and brighter.]

[all chaaaaaaaaaaarged up and Kuro runs right to Atoli and does something similar to a Volt Tackle except the electricity was fired first.]

Atoli, come back. [He takes out a pokéball and presses the button on it, causing Atoli to go right back in. In its place, Haseo releases a Jumpluff.]

[With this, Cocona chooses to switch out Pokemon too. She tells Kuro to come back and tosses a pokeball, revealing a Ninetales.]

Start with Safeguard!

[The Jumpluff rushes towards the Ninetales for a hit before returning to its ball, with a Quagsire taking its place.]
