Log:

So, really, who's bright idea had it been to go out for lunch on a day when it was GODDAMN COLD AND RAINY?

Because Phoenix was starting to have a subtle homicidal urge towards whichever one of them had suggested it. With a hasty rub at his forearms and a sneeze, the lawyer muttered a few choice words to himself and continued to meander his way through Goldenrod's icy streets, the freezing splatters on his hunched back doing nothing to improve his mood. Sure, there was nothing about the actual meeting itself that bothered him; he'd been rather looking forward to it, really...until he'd taken a glance outside his window that morning and silently cursed the weather gods of Johto. Really. Phoenix was starting to think that he couldn't ever look forward to anything, because something else would always come along and ruin it for him because obviously, the whole world was conspiring against his well-being.

...well. Either way. Phoenix shook his shoulders to knock away some of the moisture that had clung to the grooves of his hair and continued to truck forward. It's not like he could stand the Professor up.

And, well, what do you know -- following another sneeze, the lawyer glanced back up to see the dim outline of his destination through the rain. Finally

He elbowed the door open quickly, the sudden gust of warm air causing him to flinch involuntarily at the sudden change of temperature. Safely inside, he shook his head again -- not unlike a dog shaking it's fur after frolicking in the rain -- and shrugged the rest of the moisture off of his shoulders. He hoped his suit hadn't gotten wet on the walk over...he WAS wearing the nice one the Professor had gotten him for Christmas, after all, in honor of their get together. It seemed like a good idea.

Dry, now, Phoenix stood on tiptoe to see past the café's entrance barrier searching the crowd for a familiar top-hat. He couldn't be early, could he...? That would be a first.
