WE'RE ON THE ROAD TO VIRI-- ... I MEAN, VIO-LET CITYYYY~
Who: Heather Mason, Old Snake, and Phoenix Wright
Where: On the road from Goldenrod City to Violet City
When: February 7th-ish onwards.
Summary: After a slightly late start, a grizzled old man, a spunky teenage girl, and a lawyer set off on a quest. Or a really inconvenient trip. Either or.
Rating: G
Log:
On a normal day, the gray February forest that blankets the land between the National Park and Violet City to the east is fairly peaceful.
Today? Not so much.
It wasn't that they were going out of their way to make noise, but bluntly put, there was just no way a giant snake made out of rocks was going to be able to navigate a hilly terrain full of trees quietly. Solid the Onix was winding his way through the bare-branched forest as steadily and delicately as possible, but there was just no avoiding the inevitable snapping of timber as particularly in-the-way branches broke against the rock snake's sturdy body. On the bright side, the noise meant wild Pokemon were a little more likely to reconsider plans of attack and just opt to stay in their burrows or get out of the way instead.
That said, apart from the unending horror that they were probably inflicting on any Pokemon underground who were undoubtedly convinced that there was an earthquake going on, the trip had been thus far uneventful. The wobbly, choppy rhythm of the Onix's movement was weird at first, but, at least to Heather, easy to stay balanced to.
And after a few hours of it?
She'd been getting a little restless.
The solution?
Make it more interesting.
Somewhat drowned out by the rumbling sounds of the snake itself was the noise of Heather's boots smacking against rock as she ran down the length of the moving Onix, hopping from boulder to boulder. And then back up again to where the others were. Aaaaand back down to the tail. AAAAAAAAND back up.
Dangerous? Yes.
Did Heather care? Nope.
Should her traveling companions probably try to make her stop before she actually FALLS OFF THEIR RIDE? ... Probably.
Also, incidentally, the sky over their heads was a lot darker now than it had been a few hours ago. Gulp.

For a while, he's too busy saying his last prayers to pay much attention to how his travel companions are doing...but after a while, Heather's charging around gets a bit hard to ignore, especially when she nearly crashes into him for the fifteenth time.
"Heather--" He peels himself away from Solid and gets shakily to his feet. "You're going to fall if you keep doing that--"
...is all he can manage before a sudden jostle sends him tumbling down with a shout, causing him to curl his knees to his chest and to try and not scream like a little girl and lose what little manly pride he has left.

"Heather! Cut it out." He looked to the lawyer, "Get over here. You can hold onto me if you're afraid of falling off."
no subject
"I'm not gonna fall," she informed them both somewhat breathlessly as she came to a halt up on the fairly large section of Solid's back that they were sitting on, planting her boots down flat on the stone and holding her arms out for balance as she swayed. "I'm just stretching my legs!"
She did, however, reach over to try and help Phoenix up-- or at least to his knees. If anyone was going to fall off, she figured it'd probably be HIM.

He accepts Heather's help, getting back up to his wobbly legs, worridly glancing side to side as they weave through the trees. I didn't sign up for this...
"If you DO fall, though, you're going to get crushed, Heather...so at least try to be a bit more careful, okay?"
He takes a few steps backwards and collapses next to Snake, not exactly clinging onto him (yet), but close enough so that he can if he has to. "Are you sure this is...safe, exactly?"
no subject
"I've ridden on Solid before, and at a faster pace than this. It's better to do this than fly."
The old soldier turned his head to look at Phoenix, "Or are you more comfortable with flying?"
no subject
"I wouldn't get crushed. I'd probably just fall in the bushes and have a hell of a time keeping up," Heather snorted, but for Phoenix's sake, she stopped her running laps and just stood next to her companions, planting a hand on the lawyer's head for balance. And for the sake of being annoying.
no subject
"F-Flyin--no, no, I'm fine! This is fine! Really!"
Is he convincing anyone? Probably not. But either way he squirms under the sudden palm on his head, leaning back on his hands so that HE can balance. "Is that really necessary, Heather...?"
