(no subject)

Who: Cobra Commander and Grell
Where: Goldenrod City, behind the Radio Tower
When: Late Thursday evening
Summary: Cobra Commander is annoyed by everything and wants a rematch.
Rating: PG at most for Pokemon battling and threats?
Log:
[After their earlier conversation, Cobra Commander felt more than ready to wipe the floor with Grell’s Pokemon. Pacing back and forth, he reached into his bag and replaced his makeshift disguise with his battle mask. It was time to avenge his earlier loss and get rid of another annoyance. Now all he had to do was wait for the other Rocket to show up before he grew even more impatient and stormed off. ]

I told him not to make me wait! Where is he? If that coward doesn't show, I'll...I'll do something!

You'll do what?

[Grell was standing behind Cobra Commander, dressed up and ready for battle. A toothy grin was already plastered on her face. She was still confident from their previous battle all those months ago.]

Like I said before, we'll see about that.

[She took a Pokéball from inside her coat and threw it.]

Yorick, take the stage.

[Yorick the Duskull emerged from the Pokéball, his lone red eye staring eerily at his opponent.]

Let first act begin, mmm~?

[Oh, there was that battle music again... It had been a while since she had heard it.

Unfortunately for Skull Buster, Fighting type attacks would do little against a Ghost type. When the Machop made a grab for the Duskull, he disappeared into thin air.

A bit unexpected for Grell since she didn't even have to order Yorick to dodge, but she certainly wasn't complaining.]

Now Yorick, use Shadow Sneak!

[Suddenly, a shadow appeared behind Skull Buster, inching closer and closer... Eventually, Yorick appeared at the other end of the shadow and the shadow engulfed the Machop.]

My, that worked well. I wasn't aware of that type advantage.

[But Grell's confidence was wiped off her face when the Pokémon was switched out and the hail began. She quickly had to seek shelter since she didn't exactly want to get knocked out by hail. Yorick was also struck by some hail, dealing a minimal amount of damage.

Now standing under an overhand of the Radio Tower, Grell was not pleased.]

Hail? Seriously? No fair! You have a helmet!

[Yorick was unable to avoid the snow, but still resisted being blown backwards.

Grell gritted her teeth.]

Surrender to a pathetic breeze? Never. Yorick, use Will-O-Wisp! Let's see how that tiny tree of his will fare against a little fire.

[Shaking off the ice from Ice Viper's last attack, Yorick hummed as he formed a blue fireball in his hands. With a "Skull!" he launched the fireball at the Snover.]

[The double dose of ice took its toll on Yorick, who struggled to keep himself afloat. Grell bit her lip. While that burn was going to end up biting Ice Viper in the butt in the long run, she was going to have to do something quick or it was only a matter of time before her Duskull was down for the count.

She wasn't sure what level the Snover was at...but the next attack could potentially be a good damage dealer.]

Yorick, don't give in just yet! Hit that tree with Night Shade!

[The Duskull's eye glowed purple as a black energy surrounded his body. After fixing his sight on the Snover, a black-purple beam shot out from his eye.]

[It was getting down to the end here, and to be honest, Grell was sick of her Duskull getting snow dumped on him.]

Ugh, is that the only move your Pathetic Pokémon knows? Yorick, disable its attack!

[Yorick's eye glowed blue, and soon the Snover was outlined in blue. Disable began to take effect.]

[identity profile] redcinematics.livejournal.com 2011-03-03 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
[And induced sleep it did. The Duskull attempted to fight sleep, but in the end, he floated to the ground completely unconscious.

Grell was horrified.]

Yorick! Yorick, wake up this instant!

[But her yelling was no use. The Duskull was down for the count.]

Ugh! You're going to regret doing that, Commander, because now I'm not going to hold back.

[She held out Yorick's PokéBall and returned him, then pulled out another PokéBall. As she threw it, a large form appeared. It was Tybalt the Houndoom. The Pokémon growled and snorted, flames escaping from his nostrils.

Not wasting any time, Grell called out an attack.]

Tybalt, it is time to finish off that sad excuse for a tree. Flamethrower, now.

[With that, Tybalt howled and shot out an enormous stream of fire from his mouth, straight at the poor Snover.]

I'll do more than just set a plant on fir--

[Tybalt being picked up and brought back down to the ground caught both Tybalt and Grell by surprise. Tybalt jumped away, shaking off the snow from the ground.]

Oooh, that's it! Tybalt, tear it to pieces with Fire Fang!

[Tybalt roared once again and charged the Machop, mouth now on fire and ready to bite down on the Pokémon.]

[identity profile] redcinematics.livejournal.com 2011-03-03 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
[The kick was dead on target. Too close to dodge it, Tybalt was knocked off his feet from the kick, and fell to his side.]

Augh! Quick Tybalt, get up and bite him again! Crunch this time!

[Tybalt obeyed, staggering to his feet and going in for another bite.]

[identity profile] redcinematics.livejournal.com 2011-03-13 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
[Grell stared, dumbfounded at the attack's horrible effect on the Machop. She still had quite a bit to learn when it came to type match-ups.

Once again Tybalt came crashing to the ground. It hurt, but he had too much pride to yelp. Staggering to his feet again, this time he jumped back to safety. Grell realized it was time for a ranged attack. She nodded at her Pokémon.]

If that's all you're going to use, perhaps it's time to attack from afar. Tybalt, Flamethrower!

[Once again, a stream of foul-smelling fire erupted from the Houndoom's mouth, straight at Skull Buster.]

[identity profile] redcinematics.livejournal.com 2011-03-13 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
[The attack connected...right near Tybalt's neck. The Houndoom grimaced from the pain. Grell quickly retaliated with another order.]

Teach it a lesson for trying to get near again, Tybalt. Use Fire Fang and fling it away!

[Tybalt bit down on the Machop's leg, then hurled it across the field back to Cobra Commander.]

[identity profile] redcinematics.livejournal.com 2011-03-13 07:16 am (UTC)(link)
[Grell gasped as Tybalt flew toward her.]

Tybalt, try to steady yourself before you hit m--

[Tybalt was certainly no cat, so he couldn't land nimbly like one. Grell had to jump out of the way before he hit her, and he crashed to the ground. Grell shot a glare in the Commander's direction.]

Well you're just a copycat!

[As the Houndoom staggered to his feet once again, Grell called out another command.]

Let us bring an end to that Machop's tirade, Tybalt! Give it one last Flamethrower!

[identity profile] redcinematics.livejournal.com 2011-03-13 07:35 am (UTC)(link)
Of course you were. And he is hardly stupid and pathetic if he can take out two of your Pokemon.

[Grell couldn't help but feel more confident after defeating a second Pokemon, and the same went for Tybalt, who snorted with a grin.

The gloating was short-lived however, as Tybalt was forced to endure another attack. The fatigue was beginning to show on his face. He could only endure so much more...

Knowing this, Grell knew it was time to go all out.]

Flamethrower once again, Tybalt!

[Tybalt shot another breath of fire at his flying target.]

[identity profile] redcinematics.livejournal.com 2011-03-13 07:44 am (UTC)(link)
[Grell took the attack as an opening, even though it would cost Tybalt a bit of stamina in the process.]

Do not give in, Tybalt. Drag it to the ground with Fire Fang!

[As the Zubat attacked with Wing Attack, Tybalt grabbed a hold of its wing with flaming teeth, throwing it to the ground.]
