[Heist Jewelery Store~]
Who: Rouge the Bat and Anyone
Where: Goldenrod Department Store
When: March 1st - late in the evening
Summary: Rouge has her eyes on some gems so she decides to get them the best way she knows how. Running into some people as she makes her escape. Plot here.
Rating: PG
Log:
Looking at late of the hour, it is to assume people have gone to bed. Not everyone followed that rule. For someone who was a bat, the night sky is like a bathe in the sunlight. Rouge admired the night. It was her cloak and veil. As for Rouge, she had other plans for this evening that required her to be hidden. Rouge went through the air vent to get to her designated location. She wore her ninja attire to at least hid her appearance. With her wings clipped, she had to alter what she was given. When the Goldenrod Department store began to shut the lights, Rouge carefully removed of the air vent screens and slid herself out. It was located on one wall of the jewelery store.
She dropped herself down quietly and crouched down. She lifted the bottom part of her mask to hid from her nose and down. Okay time to work. Although the lights remain off, Rouge eyes still adapted to the night. She summoned her Crobat to have a look around first. There was a distant of flapping, it was faint. When Crobat returned, it perched on Rouge's shoulder awaiting for her next order. Very well, Rouge skimmed through the store looking for particularly what she had her eyes on. A nice large gem, a diamond, rested in a glass show case. Rouge gave the command to Crobat. Crobat then used Air Cutter to cut the glass diagonal just over the gem. The glass case slowly slides off from it's place and shatters onto the floor.

Sadly, these plans were thwarted when she heard the tell-tale shatter of glass.
A break-in?! Previously worn nerves flared to life and she was already reaching for Kanzeon's pokéball and grabbing Shoelace's bucket before she dashed in the direction of the sound.
And skidded to a halt in front of a...
... Ninja? She was tired, holding a bucket with a happily chattering sea slug, about to unleash an irate ferret, and the store was being robbed by a ninja.
"Oh, you've got to be kidding me."

Rouge shrugged as she turned around holding a large gem. "It was the only thing that caught my eyes," Rouge muffled as she tucked away the gem behind her. Rouge gave a salute and dashed away from the young employee as her Crobat followed along side with his master.
"Bye~ ♥"

After experience with stalkers, murderers, and chasing after criminals in general, Rise wasn't about to let this one just waltz off without doing something.
Even if the thief did have good taste in gems.
She considered her options briefly, decided against Crystal (because the last thing the store needed was an Onix breaking all sorts of glass displays and taking out half the store in the process), and decided to go with her original plan. Kanzeon lived for fighting anyway, she might as well let the Furret work some steam off.
With a quick press of the button and a burst of white light, the Furret shot free of her capsule and streaked after the fleeing thief and disturbingly big bat. Rise wasn't as quick, but was definitely in hot pursuit and calling out her second helper. One that squeaked and needed to be scooped up, because Himiko wasn't the fastest little Bellossom in a chase.
"Kanzeon, Ice Beam!"
Hey, if she somehow missed the bat, at the very least, she'd make running a bit more difficult.

"Nightmare return," Rouge called back her Crobat to his Pokèball, tucked it away, and brought out a new one. "Let's go, Staryu!"
Rouge pressed the button followed by a burst of white light. The white light shifts to a star shape with it's red gem glittering from the center.
"Use Camouflage!"
With that said, Staryu's body began to blend in with the environment. Staryu's status changed from a water type to a normal type.

"Thunderbolt," she murmured tersely, and the Furret bristled, sparks emitting from her fur and summoning one large jag of lightning towards the camouflaged star. Maybe it wouldn't be as effective as it would have been, but it would still hurt.

Starting from two points where it stands, Staryu begins to quickly recover from the damage that was delivered. "Water Gun," she makes a counter hopping not only to spray the Pokémon, wash the trainer away too. Staryu jumps up and aims it's top point to the Furrett. It releases a spray of water like a fire hose.

... Actually no, it would have involved certain murderers and helmet-headed dark selves and maybe something blowing up and any of her younger sibling figures getting injured and Ven deciding he never wanted anything to do with her ever again and--
Still, this was more than a little annoying, and Rise might have had a retort or two, except she hadn't been properly braced for that barrage of water and ended up knocked off her feet. One of the display cases prevented her from going any further, but slamming her back into it wasn't very pleasant.
And that was about the time she decided to stop holding back.
"Kanzeo-- I'm fine," she insisted, when the Furret (who'd dodged the majority of the Water Gun but had still gotten unhappily wet) looked over her shoulder and began a distressed chitter. "Ice Beam, then follow up with a song!" Which was, of course, a cue for her to do the aforementioned - which she did, aiming for the Staryu's gem - and then opened her mouth and shrieked loud enough to produce actual shock waves. It was painful enough for Rise to cover her own ears with a wince.
Oh, the joys of Hyper Voice.

That's it. This girl wanted to play rough, so be it. "Staryu! Let's go!" Rouge called after the Hyper Voice died down. She rushed towards the escalators and descents. But before that...
"Put that fur ball in it's place! Light Screen our exit!"
Staryu just did that. The Pokémon glowed creating an invisible wall just about it's with and height. It does it a couple time until the exit was sealed off.

With Himiko clinging to her neck and Kanzeon slamming headfirst into one of those walls, she couldn't afford to just sit there. So she tried again, this time slowly getting to her feet and coaxing the dazed Furret over to check on her. Once she'd shifted the Bellossom, she reached into her pocket for her PokéGear. At this rate, she wouldn't be able to follow the thief at a decent pace, so it was about time to call the police.
In the meantime, she'd have to stay here until they arrived, just in case anyone else got encouraged by one break-in.

He looked up. It looked like the department store was closing for the night. There were still some lights on, but several were off.
But...something else seemed strange. Shirou walked closer...and then he realized what it was. He was hearing an alarm. Presumably from inside the store.
Naturally, Shirou's Chronic Hero Syndrome kicked into gear. Using his Skarmory, Shirou broke open the doors and charged into the store, trying to figure out what was happening.

"Nightmare, Haze," Rouge ordered. Crobat does so unleashing it's haze. The haze engulfed from where she ran towards the entrance. Even the night made it worst. Like a thick fog at night. The only thing echoing right now where Rouge's heels, and they were heading towards the door.

But there's a funny thing about being in a battle royal to the death amongst magi: you learn some nifty skills. One of those was learning how to judge locations based on sound. He kept Excalibur close enough to where he could see him, then pointed in the direction of the footsteps.
"Excalibur! Spikes, in that direction!"
Excalibur fanned out its wings, and several razor-sharp feathers flew out and lodged themselves in the ground all around the general vicinity. Escaping without stepping on one would be very difficult.

"Nightmare, use Supersonic," Rouge points towards where the spikes came from. Might as well confuse the enemy before the battle really begins.

Then, Shirou pulled out another and threw it. "Go, Skofnung!" This time an Abomasnow came out. "Icy Wind!"
Skofnung let out a cry, then began windmilling its arms, creating a chilly wind that swept through the area.

When the Haze finally dies down, the young woman in black (with heart shapes no less) finally appears. After the wind dies down, Rouge slowly drops her arm and see's the next obstacle.

Shirou immediately took notice of Rouge's clothing. "I can only think of two kinds of people who dress like that," he said, "and I'm pretty sure you're not a ninja. So what did you steal, and can I get you to drop it without a fight?"
no subject
Rouge crosses her arms and looks to the side caring less. After Shirou finish talking, Rouge brings her head to the front and tilts it back leering. She grins under her mask. "I prefer if you just let me be on my way."
no subject
Shirou gave a nod to Skofnung, and the Abomasnow crouched. "Last chance. Give up what you stole, or I'll force you to give it up."
no subject
Either she was looking out for their well being or... "I would rather move this outside," Rouge suggested followed with a wink.

It has to be something about red heads. Either way, it worked for Rouge's favor. After the spikes were removed, Rouge dropped both her arms down by her sides and casually walked towards the front door. Crobat remained on her shoulder as she was ready to pass Shirou.

Excalibur remained in front of Shirou as he headed out.

At least, until he heard the banging as Shirou broke through the doors of the nearby department store, and the added racket of the alarm. "What's going on-?" he muttered to himself, running to check out the scene. Stopping in front of the doors, he swallowed nervously as he regarded it. Obviously something was up, but... what?
Glancing at the red band that was barely visible from under his jacket, his expression tightened to one of determination as he sent out his Feraligatr. "C'mon Kee Keema - let's go check it out!" he called, running in with the large Water-type on his heels.

Shirou stopped, surprised. "Huh? What are you doing here?"
Wataru > Shirou > Rouge?
Sounds good to me!

Shirou whirled around, looking for Rouge.

Wasting no time, he hurried to investigate further.

The Pidgeot gives a screech as she begins trying to clear the air of the haze.
