Summary: Mitsuru is taking the suggestions she received from other people to heart and confronting Hayate head on! Lets just hope she doesn't mess it up. Considering her experience with things like this... pffft. She probably will.

[Blanket? Check. Basket? Check. Sandwiches she spent all morning making that looked a bit lopsided but were hopefully still edible? Check!

The agreed meeting place was the Pokemon center, which was where Mitsuru was waiting, basket in hand. She was elegantly dressed (as usual) but looked... potentially a bit more nervous compared to her normally composed exterior.

Hopefully... Hayate wouldn't notice.]

*Hayate was still a tad confused as to why Mitsuru would want to have a picnic of all things-- especially one with just him... But nonetheless he was walking into the Center exactly on time, dressed in his uniform as always-- with the addition of a black trench coat since it was still a tad on the chill side.*

--ah! Good afternoon, Mitsuru-san! I didn't keep you waiting, did I?

[Remembering what Cocona had told her (SMILE, DAMN IT) she offers him one with a slight bow in greeting.]

Not at all. You're perfectly on time. Shall we?

--eh?? *After a few moments of confused staring he is bowing in return, not entirely sure why she did.*

Y-Yeah! Lead the way, Mitsuru-san!

[IT WAS JUST A GREETING! But doing so, heading toward... a park or some other picnic-worthy area, glancing over her shoulder to see if he's following as she does so]

*He is quietly trailing along behind her, giving her a excited smile when she glances back at him.*

I'm glad the weather has cleared up. I suppose it would have been impossible to have a picnic if it were snowing or raining.

Aha, that's true... But if the weather was still being vicious, we could have just gone to a restaurant.

It certainly looks well suited for a picnic... It's even a little out of a view if you wanted privacy for some reason or another...

[placing the basket onto the ground and digging through it for the blanket]

Would you kindly help me set up?

--ah, of course! *clearing the area of any stray leaves, before taking the blanket from her once she gets it out to carefully spread it down on the ground~*

[once that is done, she picks up the basket and places it on the blanket, kneeling down to go through it and produce the food she spent all morning making.

they're simple sandwiches, wrapped in saran wrap, and they look a bit... squished. but definitely edible!]

*blink blink, he is looking at the sandwiches a tad confused-- mulling over what the proper comment he should make is.*

... I guess you felt like a light lunch?

-- ah, there's more. [she had to look up what the proper things to bring on a picnic were beforehand, FYI.

but she has a bag of chips!]

I can't say I've ever had potato chips before. This will be a new experience for me. [sheltered rich girl, sheltered rich girl, sheltered rich girl...]

Seriously? That should be interesting... *Rubbing the back of his neck as he glances to the basket.* I'll just assume you brought all the basics...

*Going to mat out the blanket a bit more, before he motions down to it* After you.

Ah-- thank you. [aaand she will be taking a seat now!]

*sitting himself down opposite of her, since next to her would just be awkward.*

--oh, and, um... I know you said you'd prepare the food, so... *digging around in his bag to pull out a thermos! Which he places on the blanket in front of her.* I held back and only prepared some tea that I know you're fond of. ♥

[her expression lights up]

*PULLING TWO OUT OF THE BAG and placing them down!*

[a chuckle] Of course. You're always prepared; I shouldn't even have to ask.

[handing him a sandwich!]
