[ it would be a lie if jun said he had enjoyed the past couple of weeks - walking, battling, and not getting a whole lot of sleep. it was certainly better than his first week, though, because he had lisa by his side. even if they had reason to bicker every now and then, it was so much better than being lonely.

he stops them between route 45 and route 46 - halfway to a place called blackthorn and where eikichi said he would meet up with them. jun stops in his tracks and pulls out their map. ]

Wait up, Lisa. Isn't this where Michel said he would be?

[ perhaps they've arrived early? he peers at the map and then looks around the area - it doesn't look like they can go any further north. ]

[ pampered lisa is definitely not used to this new lifestyle of walking and camping around. not being able to shower for days at a time, even if it's just one or two, is gross and... just about everything about "camping" puts a perpetual frown on her face. then there's battling which is its very own special headache entirely.

she's been cranky since they left to meet up with eikichi, leaving behind the luxuries that cherrygrove city had to offer, but it was only fair that they meet each other half-way, right?

she stops almost right beside him with a pout. ( stopping means they'd have to start up again and she did not want to start walking again, inevitable as that is, pft. )

taking a look at the map, then their surroundings, she gives an exasperated sigh. ]

How the heck am I supposed to know? Everything is all grass, and trees, and nature for miles. It's all the same!

[ and she plops herself onto the ground, stretching her legs out. ]

Let's wait here anyway, we've gone far enough! If this is it, he'll find us, right?

[ jun isn't exactly happy with all the walking either. he's never been the sporty type, despite having a lean build - and while he could certainly hold his own in a fight, he's not quite made for roughing it. he likes to think his beauty is natural but he's never tested that theory out when wandering in the wild! until now.

(of course, it's jun, so he still looks pretty damn flawless, all things considered - but his exhaustion shows, and he knows it.)

he watches her sit down with curiosity. ]

I suppose you're right. After all, if he's really been stuck here for that long, he must know this place better than we do.

[ and when lisa sprawls out like that, there's nothing in the world that sounds more appealing than sitting down. he spots a tree stump nearby and sits down on it, crossing his legs and resting his chin on his hand. there's a sigh, and he draws a pokeball out of his bag, releasing chronos the cleffa from his little red and white prison.



jun roots through his bag for some medicine and glances over at lisa. ]

They're just as tired as we are. We can rest here whether Michel arrives or not.

[as if suddenly remembering something she'd completely forgotten ( which, honestly, she kind of had ), lisa's head springs up,]

Ah, you're right!

[and she rummages through her own bad to retrieve lee, her psyduck. even if the thing seemed to spend more time being confused than doing any actual fighting, it still managed to pull some neat tricks from time to time.

she pulls out one spray bottle of potion, and releases the pokemon from its confines--



--before spraying it down.]

There, there. You're starting to look much better now.

[she gives lee a small smile. annoying as he is, he's starting to grow on her.]

There should really be Pokemon Centers or something close to one along the way, though. They always look much better after Nurse Joy looks after them, don't they?

[The trek was a pain, and already Eikichi's losing track of the time, but at least he's doing better. The fresh air, sunlight, being able to walk around on his own free will - he'll take it. If anything, he somewhat regrets having not just ditched them sooner, since nobody's come after him.

With his trusty Absol by his side (and the fish staying in the goddamn pokéball, so help him), Eikichi makes his way over towards where he spots two familiar faces.]

About time!

[He and his little companion sprint over, and he grins. He's really, really glad to see these two.]

It's been forever! Glad to know you both made it this far.

[ jun's face lights up when eikichi approaches in the same way it did when he first met up with lisa. there's some sort of relief that comes with meeting someone in person, to know that the face over the pokegear isn't just another cruel illusion or his imagination playing tricks on him.

the next thing that catches jun's eye is that pokemon! it's way cooler than the fish thing - and way cooler than cleffa or psyduck, if he's being honest, but like lisa, he's grown sort of attached to his little pink buddy. jun greets eikichi with a smile and a wave (he'd stand up but he doesn't have the energy right now). ]

It really does feel like it's been forever.

[ after spending each day in each other's constant presence, it's been strange going back to being alone, or just two of them, or even just three of them. ]

But we're okay...just really tired. I'm not sure if I'll ever get used to the camping thing.

Ahh, finally!! [finally, they were nearly all together. even if they hadn't arrived yet, lisa still counted tatsuya and maya in their group in johto. as badly as she wished to be back home where camping wasn't a way of life, if they had to stay here for long she wanted them all to be together. the other two could arrive at any minute.

but that's neither here nor now. right now, she, eikichi and jun have regrouped and that's what matters.]

Too bad we're going to have to keep doing this for... agh, who even knows how long?! Hoh sang ah-- thinking about it just makes me more exhausted.

[she also takes notice to eikichi's absol, and is a little shocked that of the three of them he managed to get the coolest looking pokemon. what a joke!]

Fan ah, don't tell me that cool looking thing is really yours?! It's huge, too!

[Watching the two complain about exhaustion just keeps the smile on his face. Not because they're tired, because goodness knows he's tired of walking too, but he's just so glad to see them that he doesn't even bother with the super-cool act - at least not yet.]

Well, once we reach another city, we could probably stay there for a while. But let's just camp here tonight and set out whenever we get up tomorrow.

[It sounds like a good enough plan to him. And as they check out his Absol, he just grins. Though this means one thing - they are never ever ever seeing his damn sushi-mon.]

She's pretty badass, isn't she? She's an Absol. Kind of rare, from what they told me, since they aren't really in the crazy wilderness here. Rhadamanthys, come meet Jun and Ginko, and their... [His eyebrow raises at their little companions.] You got a Psyduck and a... wait, what the heck is that pink thing?

[ jun picks up his cleffa - he's small enough for him to hold with no difficulty, not much bigger than a cat. (a really fat cat...) ]

Um, he's a Cleffa...he can't really do much - yet - but he's been a good companion.

[ and frankly, jun knows he needs friendship and compassion more than a protector right now. he's caught a couple of others for that. and if we're being honest here, we know that jun isn't above punching out pokemon, men, women, children...anyone who wants to take an unfair swing at him might get one back, claws out. ]

Aha, you named it after your Persona, too? [she regards the absol with a smile and a "hello", then points a thumb at her psyduck.] This thing isn't beautiful or lovely so Venus wouldn't be too fitting.

[even though sticking it out here for the night is better than more walking, lisa makes a displeased face at more camping. it's not like they've got much of a choice, but it's still torture.]

Will we keep heading up Route 45, then? What do you guys wanna do?

A Cleffa, huh... cute. Looks like you've gotten attached to it. [But hey, Eikichi won't insult it. Hell, he'd rather have a duck or a pink plushie as opposed to his actual starter.]

Don't worry, Ginko, maybe you'll catch something cooler. [Or weirder.] We can still keep heading on up, there's a lot of stuff up there. Another city, too--[Wait.] Too? Jun... you have a persona?

[ there was only that short time in between the joker's defeat and receiving yukino-san's persona that he didn't have one! :x at least since they were kids... ]
