This may scare younger viewers
Who: The Mankin Cast. Srsly, the whole damn cast.
Where: Cherrygrove (Pokemon Centre)
When: 18th June
Summary: Meeting the Brainbreakers
Rating: PG - 13
Log:
Anna strode full of purpose into the town, pointedly ignoring any locals as she trotted at a brisk pace towards the Pokemon Center. Where she would find her son. That was still odd to think about. Her son. Asakura Hana. Waiting with Tao Men, son of Ren and Jeanne. She allowed herself a small smirk at that. Ren and Jeanne. Oh, she was going to have fun with that.
But that was for later, right now, she had more pressing matters. Like her sick child. Whose illness she logically blamed on Ren for setting the two kids off for Cherrygrove in the first place. Stepping out of the heat and through the automatic doors of the Centre, Anna cast her gaze about for her son and his distinct looking travelling partner.

He'd noticed Jeanne slip up, and he was calling her out on it. "Papa's name is Ren. You know that. That's what you call him." His eyes narrowed slightly as he spoke. "And what should be calling him."

Glancing towards Ren, she wouldn't override her teachings just to satisfy Men's demands, "Would that be suitable with you?" After all, trespassing that boundary without his consent simply wouldn't do either.

Men waited until his father had answered before hurling a question seemingly out of the blue at the teen. "When's Mama's birthday?" It was obvious he wanted an answer.

Answering Jeanne, that question from Men popped up and he just blinked a moment, giving him a blank look. Yeah, Men wasn't going to let him get off this one -- time to take a random guess.
"February?"

However his answer to Men's question proved amusing as she smiled, "March, actually. March 2nd. You were commendably close."

As soon as the words left his mouth he had another realization and took a few steps back so he could look clearly a both of them. "In your time, have you two not been dating long?"
no subject
"To be honest, no. We barely know each other, and only as fellow competitors in the Shaman Tournament."

"I'm afraid I don't, Men," she answered the first question before moving on. "But... it's as Ren says. I only really came to know of him after he-" Got stabbed and died. But she can't really just say that. A momentary pause. "He had some complications with health and his friend seeked my assisance." More than once, actually. She quietly sighed to herself. This troublesome person was to be her spouse?

Wait, wait, wait. His parents barely knew each other? His parents barely knew each other? He ignored the parts out his fathers health, well aware Ren had died several times over the course of the Tournament, too busy processing this new information.
Part of Men's face began to twitch and his hair suddenly stiffened and elongated. It seemed he was boiling towards what some could class as a temper tantrum. "You what?"

"Complications with my health?" This isn't something he knows about, but it must be in his future? However, Men looking so confused and then that sudden spike with his hair-- Ren knows that well enough and frowns, hands sliding up to cross across his chest.
"Don't fuss, it's not as though we had any idea that we were going to have a child together in the future. We were more preoccupied with keeping a future at all."
They all may have been Shamans, but there had been a fat chance of Hao letting them all live if he became Shaman King.

"We'll speak of it later, Ren," she stated, leaving no room for argument. Perhaps it was a bit demanding, but she would not waver after coming to a decision. They couldn't talk about something like death in front of Men. She wouldn't allow it.
Turning her attention to Men, she did her best to calm him down, "Come now, Men. All spouses were strangers at one point. You can't expect us to have known each other all our lives. Please be rational."

Men snapped at his father. "Like I give a-" He paused and amended himself for the sake of his mother. "I don't care about Hao-kami's deal. We've got years to sort that out." Tossing the name around as though it had little significance.
Dismissing Ren's excuse he challenged his mothers next. "The Stupid Flowers parents know each other. They're together. Why shouldn't you be?"
