Thank you for flying Air Talim
Who: Talim (
colorsofthewind) and Souji (
the_tv_is_a_lie)
Where: New Bark Town, or the outskirts thereof.
When: Backdated to 9/15
Summary: Souji needs a ride. Talim comes to pick him up.
Rating: G
Log:
[ Talim was never one to turn down helping someone out, and while she hadn't been close to Souji on his previous stay, she knew enough about him to gladly give him a hand if he asked. Or wing, as the case may be.
Ironhide would have refused to make the tip with her, so she didn't even bother to ask. She just told him where she was going and why, and asked him to please not go anywhere until she and Souji returned to Mahogany. The big man was agreeable enough, at least what passed for agreeable for Ironhide, since it meant he wouldn't have to be flying anywhere.
Alun always made good time when it counted, and a few days later, the Priestess and her Pidgeot could be found circling the New Bark area, trying to keep an eye out for their new passenger. He said he was around here somewhere. ]

Nevertheless, before long, he notices an unnatural shadow being cast over him for all of a few seconds as he weakens one hapless Pidgey enough to capture it. That must've been her -- talk about good timing. He hadn't gone very far into Route 29, so if she stayed low enough, it wouldn't be easy to mistake his gray head of hair and the energetic little sheep that was next to him for anything else.]

Hello!

Hello, Talim-san. [He approaches, opening the ball that held his sheep-friend and having it return -- just to be safe, more than anything else. Static was not a fun thing to deal with at high heights.] I hope I didn't make myself too hard to find.
[It wasn't like he moved far, or that the grass was enough to completely obscure him, but he did quite a bit of moving around from the center to those little patches of greenery.]

[ She gives him an easy smile as she dismounts, taking a moment to stretch her stiff limbs. ]
I hope you don't mind staying here a bit longer. Alun needs to rest for a while before we take off again.

So where are we headed back to, exactly?

And the Pokemon I could find? [This is relevant to him, okay. Also, there's something noteworthy tucked under his arm, namely, a beginner breeder's book.]

[ Since she totes around a team of level 100's thanks to being here so long.
Also the book does not escape her notice. ]
Ah, what's that you have there?

[Lovely, a partner that would be able to help him grind his poor Pokemon up. Unsurprising, but handy nevertheless. When she points out the book, he blinks for a moment. Ah, right, there was that, wasn't there?]
Whatever brought me here decided I should be a breeder. [He holds up the manual for her so she can confirm what he'd said.]

... Well, a Dratini egg, but she's a Dragonite now.

[As far as winning against gym leaders would, anyway, but then...three years. It probably went without saying.]

Alun is actually the first pokémon I ever caught, though he certainly didn't give me an easy time of it. Isn't that right? [ The Pidgeot gives a cry of affirmation, looking a little proud. ]

Though speaking off food, she fishes some out of her pack, as well of a small dish that she fills with water, and sets it out for Alun. The Pidgeot quickly ignores them in favor of food. It's been a long flight. ]
Do you have any idea what other sorts of pokémon you're hoping to acquire while you're here?
Sorry for taking so long, motivation flatlined
Okay then. That's something that's going to take a while for him to let sink in, too. He watches her quietly for a while, mulling over her question for the moment.]
"All" wouldn't be a very good answer, would it?
It's all good
