Summary: Riku called a meeting for all PGC members to discuss recent happenings, touch base with one another, and contemplate future measures.
Rating: Probably no worse than PG


[It's tough to resist the urge to explore. To mingle and dance and just soak up the scenery, but Riku knows that if they don't do this now, they might not have another chance for a while. Meetups are tricky with everyone spread across two regions. They'd already missed their first planned meeting date, so prom will just have to suffice.

He'd already left his message and gone through the instructions: sneak out during the dance while nobody's looking. Leave in small groups-- pairs optimal. They are to keep their voices low and avoid suspicion if at all possible.

Riku will be hovering fairly close to the entrance, keeping eyes peeled for known PGC members. He'd rather not have to hunt everyone down, as that would arouse suspicions.

Once enough people arrive, he'll open the floor to discussions. Just remember to keep quiet!]

[It Tenten. For once, she's not in the middle of everything trying to socialize. Rather, she's watching everyone else's interactions, seated off to the side with a notebook in her lap and the eraser-end of a pencil in her mouth. Every now and then, she look at a particular person and makes a note, flipping back and forth between several pages. There's an Espeon curled up beside her, watching everyone along with her to give her more Psychic hints to people's interactions.

Tenten~! 'Sup?

(Dash pops in from out of nowhere, a Pikachu perched on her shoulder as she grins confidently at the other girl. She wasn't paying too much attention to her notebook, but either way she likes the team she's on anyway.)

[Tenten lets out a quiet noise of surprise, snapping the notebook shut as she flips the pencil around in her grip to make it a better stabbing weapon. Comprehension catches up with her reflexes, though, and she lets out an embarrassed laugh as she looks to her friend.]

Hey, Dash. It's been a while.

Hehe, totally! You having fun with your doodles Tenten?

(She laughs a little at Tenten's initial reaction but didn't otherwise pull back from her actions. She pets her Espeon, having been tempted to bring her own to the event but decided next year might be best.)

Yeah! [Because that's definitely what that is. Tenten just grins at her and keeps the notebook closed.]

Having fun at the party?

Yeah! It's been pretty awesome so far, and I ran into Maka and Sakura earlier too!

(Speaking of which, Dash pulls out two Pokéballs and tosses them, a Lucario and Crobat emerging within seconds. Reunion time!) What about you? Up to anything fun besides doodles?

Oh, you know Sakura, too? I didn't know you'd met!

[She laughs and extends a hand to the two Pokémon. Hello friends!]

Just taking a break from dancing and stuff, you know how it is. It's been pretty hectic!

Looks like we might get more chances to 'dance' more, huh?

[Look who's joined the secret party and is walking up to Tenten right now. Kirikou's expression is a bit more serious instead of the playful air he had out in the party proper. Looks like he's been given a basic rundown of what this is all about.]

Guess it figures. What are you working on?

Looks that way.

[Since they'd first met, Maka's briefed her on Kirikou; apparently it had been Tenten's final ruling that had gotten him invited along here in the first place, and she knows it. It doesn't make her smile any less friendly, though, as she closes the notebook and holds it up to show him the cover. It's blank, really, but shoved so full of papers and notes that it's almost a miracle it's still holding together.]

Building teams, making sure we've got even strengths all around wherever possible.

Sounds cool. I don't know everyone involved just yet, so I'm trusting you to put me in the right place.

[This place doesn't have the advantages of soul resonance and such, after all, and neither Fire or Thunder is with him. He trusted them when it came to Ox and Kim, and he'd trust them here. But, since that's not a possible thing... He knows he'll have to put his faith in the girl who basically has every single thing apparently jammed into a tiny little book.]

[He can't say he's 100% with it, but he's willing to put his trust in her for now. It's funny how much both dancing and fighting can tell about a person. Even funnier is how much of his trust comes from that time on the dancefloor. She knows what she's doing, or else she wouldn't be the one doing this.]

If it's just for ease, then me and Maka are living together right now. I already told you I only have my starter with me right now. Anything else I can say to help out?

I'll keep that in mind. [And she flips the book open again, past pages of Pokémon information, breeding notes, and personality descriptors to pencil that in next to his name.

She flips the pencil over between her fingers in a quick motion before returning the eraser end to tap against her lips again.]

You'll definitely be on a team with people who have strong Pokémon, at least until you're up in strength. I'm going to have to do a lot of shuffling after this meeting, but I'll try to make sure you and Maka can be on a team together. Teamwork is the most important thing, you know?

Got any stealth skills?

Yeah. We haven't been on the exact same team, but we've done missions together and we know how to make it work. It'll be new experience bringing Pokemon into the mix, but I bet we can figure it out.

[Also that sure is a question about stealth.]

I've gone on undercover missions before... but I wouldn't really say it's any sort of specialty.

[In fact he eventually went FUCK IT and started a fight so you really want a specialist instead of him]

[She quirks an eyebrow and taps her pencil against her lips as she waits for him to answer.]

So that's a no, then, [she finishes for him with a shrug, marking it down in the notebook.] That's an area we're really lacking in professionals in.

Anyway, how do you think you'll fit in with the rest of us?

[Did somebody say organization? Well, here comes Riku, wandering over with a hint of a frown on his face. There's something that's been bugging him for a while, and Tenten seems like the perfect person to address.]

You know, I've noticed that some of our members haven't been keeping contact. What do you think we should do about it?

[Heck, he hasn't heard from one of his own squadmates in months. Riku doesn't expect everyone to show at the meeting, but having to grill one or two members is still a mild inconvenience.]

[Hello boss. Tenten looks up to him, about to greet him with a smile before she notes the expression on his face and matches it.

At the question, she nods and flips the notebook open, studying her most current list.]

What I'd do about it...? [she repeats, twirling the pencil around in her fingers before looking up to meet his eyes.] I'd kick them out.

Yeah, that's what I thought, too. At this stage, I'm tempted to go out and contact them, let them know that if they aren't gonna contribute, they'll be removed from the roster.

[Because otherwise they're just taking up space that could be filled by new recruits. Having squads with dead weight only holds them back.

But before he makes any moves, he might as well ask her:]

Have you heard from Lancer and France recently?

Those are the two I was thinking of. [The pencil stops twirling as she taps the eraser end against those two names. With her other hand, she reaches into the small cross-shoulder bag she'd procured for prom and pulls out her Pokégear, scrolling back through saved text posts.]

Not recently, no. It's a liability, too. I don't know these guys -- if they're just sitting around here, they could just be trying to get as much information out of us as they can for their own purposes. You know?

I've only talked to them a few times, and neither of them has ever responded to the filtered messages. Didn't even give input about restructuring the Corps when Light left.

[He rubs at his brow, withholding the urge to sigh.]

I don't know. Maybe they just stopped caring once Light left or maybe they just haven't paid attention. Either way, they're slacking off.

I spoke with Lancer once, way back when I started putting teams together. Haven't heard from him since.

[She frowns and shakes her head, twirling the pencil with one hand as she slips her Pokégear away again.]

It's your call. You wanna contact 'em, see what they're planning? Or just cut them loose?

[Well then, Tenten, it looks like Ren brought his fiancee here. She's not the most social person ever as you might know from the first time you met her, so she's mostly looking around. Her own Espeon is doing the same as Tenten's, except it's sitting beside her and walking along whenever the girl happens to move. Said Espeon notices Tenten and the other Espeon first, while Utau is still wondering things like where is she supposed to go here. She notes Utau about the other girl too. Hmmm? Utau glances over her shoulder with a curious look in her eyes. Yes, good, she's here. It's not like she couldn't talk to Riku too, but let's start from there.

Approaching from one side and her Espeon walks there with her.]

Hey, I want to be on the same team with Ren. [Obviously, if she's going to join this thing.

Not that she is sure what Tenten is doing, but that? Sure looks like she's taking some notes to organize / decide stuff.]

[Tenten looks up at the voice, eyes narrowing at what she perceives is an order before she puts the voice together with the face and offers a smile instead.]

Hi, Utau-san. [Gotta be nice to Ren's fiancée, right? Tenten closes the notebook and shifts sideways to give the other room to sit if she wants.] I'll see what I can do, but you know, I'm trying to balance the teams by individual strengths. What's your combat ability or Pokémon team like?

[Nah, she can be pretty difficult to deal with sometimes, so it's not like anyone's got to be nice to her just because she happens to have a ring from Ren.

She'll be mature by giving a little pout at that. Well, it's logical, but she really wants to be on the same team with Ren. She'd probably be fine with any other solution too though, so Tenten can mix them however she wants.]

Ehh, magical girls or idols don't really need combat abilities - at least not where I come from. But since that's not a thing here ['that' = powers.] I guess I should train even more on those than I have been. Especially after this meeting. It's not like I'm bad at punching and kicking, but I should -- probably get better at some kind of a real style, since I mostly do things on random occasions. Well, grabbing a polearm and attacking with that wouldn't be new either.

And my Pokémon team? Most of them are level 100, except the one's who are too new on the team to be on that level for now. Lots of dragons, a Zoroark, a few more psychics... There's 47 of them altogether right now. [She does have a full list here somewhere with her, she's trying to look for it.]

[She skips right over the magical girl part -- what the hell is a magical girl? Tenten sure as hell doesn't know, and to be honest, it sounds pretty weird -- and goes to a new page, tapping her pencil against it before starting to take notes in shorthand. Kind of. It looks more like a code than anything.]

We can try to get you some training. I'd like to see more people with combat ability myself, especially girls.

But if you've got level a-hundreds... that definitely means you're a force to be reckoned with. Are you any good at sneaking?

I'd like that kind of training a lot.

[and smirk at level-hundreds comment.] I definitely try to be, it's not like I've had much else to do than train them. Yeah, I am, extremely good at it even, I've done that at home too back when I was hired in my former workplace.

[Coincidentally she ended up from one evil organization to another when she woke up here, so uh, that was a good skill to have here too. Someone sure is looking confident here but then again, she's like a pro at sneaking. Thank you, evil magical girl's work. |:]
