Summary: The bosses are defeated, the strife is over, the apocalypse has been averted. But things are still a bit of a disaster and some benign faces are arriving, so this is your chance to wind down, rest up, commiserate with others over everything that transpired, and breathe a little in general before it's time to go home again.
Rating: PG-13 in general; please mark threads that go higher accordingly!

YOU ARE HERE. IT LOOKS A LITTLE APOCALYPTIC. BUT THESE GUYS ARE HERE, AND SO IS THIS GUY.

NOW GO LEARN THE MAGIC OF YARN.

KEY:

• The GRAY, GREEN, and BLUE areas remain as they have all plot; these are the mountains, forest, and lake areas (respectively) that are now devoid of Team Aqua and Magma Grunts and currently form the natural boundaries of the map area you're in!

• The BROWN rectangle in the center of the map is still the Elite Four's Resort; because you did so well at fighting off the bosses and their legendaries, it escaped the conflict with minimal damage. For this log, that means it will also still be available to you as a bonus area map!

• The PINK triangle represents Shauna and Sina's private jet (or, well, someone's private jet, anyway), in which they just arrived from Kalos! Also, it sounds like they've got some kind of goodies for you in there, so you might want to stop by and have a chat with them to see what that's all about.

• RED stars on either sides of the map are approximate locations where you are most likely to be able to find and approach Arceus! Note that it can be sighted pretty much anywhere on the map as it walks around restoring things to some semblance of normal, but if you intend to approach it directly, it should be in one of these two areas. Attempting to catch or battle Arceus will result in a character immediately whiting out and being booted to the Blackthorn City Pokemon Center, and thereby suspended from participation in the remainder of the event.

A FEW OTHER SETTING NOTES:

• The Gen VI Pokemon that assisted you in the battle are still around somewhat, but they're largely leaving the area to head back down into the Johto/Kanto regions proper; they made good on the summons from their creator and have received its profound thanks for it, and now it's time to get back to the areas they've picked as their new habitats from here on out.

• FOR CHARACTERS WHO USED A HONEDGE LIKE A WEAPON DURING BATTLE:
This is also where we are asking you to experience some IC consequences! Namely, in exchange for picking up your Pokemon and rather unceremoniously winging it around by the head during battle, Arceus will be returning the favor by winging you around by the head a little at some point during the log! You're welcome to handwave this as you see fit, but we ask that you please accept this as the consequence of your choices!

• On a related note, if your character has mistreated one of their Pokemon lately and you would like them to suffer a llamagod-delivered consequence for it (for the purposes of development or what have you), feel free to let us know and we'll work something out with you!

• There is no restriction on how many of the NPCs you may talk to; feel free to interact with any and all of them!

• Maxie and Archie are not available on this log; they are, however, going to be taken into Shauna and Sina's custody and presumably deported back to Kalos to receive justice for...something or other, assuredly.

• You are welcome to thread out scenes occuring at any time during the aftermath events — waking up in the morning to Arceus, spotting Shauna and Sina arriving around noon, and experiencing the Sylveon Swarm in the afternoon are all fair game!

• At the end of the day you will be getting home the same way you initially came: via an Arceus-opened portal that will take you back to the location you left, with its thanks!

• EDIT: It's been brought to our attention that this was somewhat unclear — yes, you may make your own top-levels on this log! It is not solely for interacting with the NPCs, so please feel free to tag around and interact with others as you like!

OPEN NPC INTERACTION: SINA

Gift bags;;

[Sina is taking everything as a learning experience. She's still not fully sure what happened to this place, but as she listens to others and gathers information, she's collecting more and more information for Sycamore to dissect later--but first and foremost, making sure everyone is taken care of is their main priority. The gift bags were a pretty great idea, and she's just enjoying passing them out the bags and getting to mingle with the many trainers.]

And here you go!

[Holding out a bag of goodies to the next trainer to approach, she offers a gentle smile and a small nod.]

Exploring;;

[On a few breather breaks, Sina opts for taking a small walk. She's got a few goodie bags in a small satchel around her shoulder, in case anyone hasn't gotten one yet, but she's also just mingling with anyone. She's got a clipboard in hand, in case she needs to jot anything down for later, but overall she will be exploring and chatting with anyone who wants to say hello!]

[ He's a little curious about the gift bags, unable to help but peer at them when he gets one. Those yarn balls, though... if his Espurr is anything like Kuro back home, he's going to love those. ]

I'm just glad we were able to help.

[ A pause though. ]

I've been meaning to ask... was the swarm a while back all for this?

[Sina smiles, watching as he accepts the bag. If anything, she even leans a little closer as he looks in, wondering if he'll enjoy the little gifts they've gathered up for them. But the question comes as a surprise.]

Hmm... I would imagine so. Given what happened earlier... it seems they just decided it was their time to expand their grounds. [She crosses her arms.] It will all take further research to confirm it, though.

I'd always thought they were trying to escape something rather than it just being a migration...

[ But that was more of an educated guess. His noibat's gotten kind of curious about the giftbags too and has started nosing around the yarn balls, eliciting a small sigh from his trainer.

But that reminds him... ]

By the way... that... mega-evolution. I don't suppose there'll be any chance we'd be able to use that for ourselves in the future?

Escaping... They may have been. With all the chaos happening, they might have been looking for somewhere to spread out to. Kalos is pretty calm right now, so I don't know all of what they would try to run from. [But it's a new theory. Sina wastes no time in picking up a pen, jotting the word down on the palm of her hand. She'll have to remember to put that in her notes later.]

I wouldn't rule out mega-evolutions, though. It's different and very new right now, even to us, so I don't think it's something we can't see. I think the 'how' and 'when' are the real questions about it.

It was one of the theories I was considering. Something as massive as that made me think of probably an earthquake... some sort of large scale disaster...

[ A small shrug of his shoulders. ]

I'm sure if we ever have to face off against something this massive again... that might be a possibility, huh?

[ Have an excited bark from his houndoom. Someone liked running around with bone armor. ]

It seemed so, didn't it? The tremors definitely aren't common, that's for sure.

[As she sets the pen down, Sina crosses her arms, thinking for a moment.]

I wouldn't be surprised, really. Hopefully we uncover more about it so it's something you can use more readily if such a situation occurs again. But even more so, let's just hope we don't have the world causing more chaos like this again! Who knows, maybe next time it'd be the moon.

[ Holy Hera what happened before he came here? ]

Either way... I look forward to any advancements anyone might have in the future. It'd come in handy if we do ever end up in a situation like this.

[ There's a small chuckle as he reaches over to ruffle his houndoom between the ears. ]

I think Shiva liked letting loose on those grunts... maybe a little too much.

[She smiles a bit more.] You can say that again! We'll try to make sure you're all prepared for anything that comes your way... Or as prepared as we can get.

[Leaning down a little, Sina gives a big smile to the Houndoom.] Thank you for all of your hard work too! We can count on you and your trainer the next time too, right?

[Royce is also wandering, but he notices her looking... well... studious. The clipboard helps.]

... Taking notes?

[She looks up, almost surprised, but hides a sheepish smile as she looks back at her clipboard.]

Ah... yes. Since Professor Sycamore isn't here, I told myself I'd observe everything I could while I was out. [She holds it up; it's even got a few sketches, but more or less little doodles and random notes that are almost illegible.]

You're a scientist? What... is it that you study, in particular?

[pokestars]

Hmm... You know, I don't think I've ever just picked one focus. As a Professor's assistant, I have to be knowledgeable in a wide range, but I guess the fairy-types are my favorites.

[me_first]

I see. They certainly do seem... strange, very strange, though I admit I have a bias... towards the steel and electric types, being a... a programmer and engineer at home.

[pokestars]

A programmer and an engineer? Well, they do say pokemon are similar to their trainers, so it's not too surprising to be drawn to the types that suit you best. The fairy-types aren't that strange once you get used to them, but I know with them being a new type, it will definitely take some getting used to.

I did start with... a Magnemite.

[And Ampere floats over to see what's going on. Heyyy.]

A Magnemite... Let me guess, this little buddy here? [Who's apparently come to say hi. What a cutie!]

[Henry looks down at the cute, sparkly bag in his hands with surprise. It's nice and all, of course, but they sure are giving out a lot of free stuff...]

Oh! Uh, thanks.

[The Inkay and Phantump floating around him seem to take particular interest in the bag (probably smelling the Pokepuffs inside), so he just casually opens it.]

And don't worry about it! I thought it was kinda fun.

[Yeah. Fighting a massive army of Grunts and nearly getting blown to bits is Henry's idea of fun.]

[As the trainer checks out the goodies, Sina looks at the two pokemon with him, reaching over to give them both gentle pats.]

Fun, you say! [She has to smile at that.] I admire that spirit. It's nice to know that some of you were able to enjoy yourselves amidst the hectic activities.

[cawsforalarm]

[Eleanor (the Phantump) backs away cautiously, but Glowgan (the Inkay) happily leans into Sina's petting. He's a little bit of an attention hog.]

Yeah! It's been a long time since I've been in an all-out brawl. Like, a whole month.

[pokestars]

A whole month? Haha, we should whisk you off to Kalos! There's always something excitable going on!

[While slightly disappointed about the Phantump sneaking back, she can already tell this Inkay is eating up all of this attention.] Aww, is she shy?

[cawsforalarm]

You know, I actually might take you up on that offer! I'd have to ask my Pokémon first, though.

[He turns to smile at Eleanor.] Yeah, kind of. [He lowers his voice a little, but seems to speak with more... love? Compassion? Something.] Go on, Ellie, you'll be fine! I'm right here.

[Slowly, the Phantump comes out from her hiding place behind Henry's head. She still watches Sina cautiously, but is at least making slow progress. ...Glowgan, on the other hand, is now headbutting her shoulder lightly. Moar cuddles!!]

How kind of you, checking with them!

[She admires that, Henry! Just watching him interact with them makes her smile; it's pretty obvious how caring he is towards them, even with how timid his Phantump is at wanting to move away. But before she can remark on it further (really, she's just gushing over here), the Glowgan grabs her attention and has her laughing.]

Aren't you just eating this up! [More cuddles away! She swoops in a hand to give the pokemon a small hug.] You might want to be careful before I whisk you off to Kalos too!

[cawsforalarm]

Yeah! It just kind of feels icky when you don't check with them, to me.

[Meanwhile, the Inkay continues to chirp in delight, starting a little light show to show his pleasure. Henry lets this go on for a while honestly he thinks it's adorable too, but eventually, the grown-up has to step in.]

Hey, Glowgan. Wanna let someone else have a turn?

[Eleanor realizes he's talking about her and jumps. But the cuddles did look nice, so after a moment's hesitation, she slowly begins to move towards Sina. Glowgan, disappointed, rams into Henry's chest until the Trainer agrees to hold him.]

Nya ha! A vacation sounds like fun!

It makes sense to me! That goes to show a good relationship.

[Sina has to laugh again. These pokemon are just far too cute!] Well, guess it's your turn, then! [As the Phantump makes her way over, Sina just holds her arms out for her. Come here for your cuddles, you!]

You'd probably enjoy Kalos! We've got quite a few tourist spots, on top of lots of battle grounds. In Lumiose, there's even Prism tower; I've heard a lot of people come to visit just to check it out.
