Summary: Hayate invited Mitsuru out on a date for her birthday! Hopefully he will not ruin it horribly.

*It wasn't unusual for Hayate to be early for something... In fact he always tried to be early, which is why when he sent Mitsuru the text to show up at the movie theater at around noon, he fully intended to get there a good thirty minutes early!

... something he was regretting significantly at this point, considering he had been nervously pacing in front of the theater for the entirety of the time. Should he have dressed up nicer for this? Was tossing on his nicest coat on top of his uniform not enough?? What if she didn't like the movies playing? What if something came up and she's late?? What if she didn't show up at all?! There could totally be more important things for her to do on her birthday than go out with him, right??*

Ahhhh... Why does this all suddenly feel like I'm going to be willingly participating in a train wreck?

It was back in January when we were still in Goldenrod, so... There should definitely be a few new ones. *Oh, it's starting with the PG-13 action stuff.*

[Well she doesn't find it boring, just a little slo-- OH GOD WHAT WAS THAT. Something just startled the kids in Ilex Forest in the background and while normally this wouldn't bother Mitsuru at all, it being coupled with a dramatic swell of music made her jump just a little bit.

... and then the movie seems to be back to normal for a bit]

The drool truly doesn't help tho-- [OH HOLY CRAP THE KID JUST GOT JUMPED BY A GLOOM. Cue a high-pitched yelp from Mitsuru as her hand instinctively shoots out to grab Hayate's]
