SCREW LYRICS
Who:
restardom,
usedkunai,
usegalacticpunt,
usedrawr,
wingless_falcon and ANYONE IN ECRUTEAK who wants to run into them. Thread-hopping, mingling with everyone is A-OK and encouraged!
Where: ECRUTEAK weren't you paying attention--
When: Friday, June 10
Summary: Souji's rescue group gets into Ecruteak for gym fighting and a one-day break. Cue rest, relaxation, and RUNNING AROUND.
Rating: PG-13...?
Log:
[ okay, so this hasn't been the cheeriest of expeditions. Not that Rise hasn't tried to keep group morale as high as possible, but there are limits to what one can do when one's senpai is sleep-deprived and antsy to keep going forever.
Of course, the whole team's all a little AIN'T NO MOUNTAIN HIGH ENOUGH when it comes to Souji, but the Pokémon do need a break, and badges do need to be earned to get the whole group to the Ice Path in enough time. Which means, now that they're in Ecruteak, they have a day to rest up.
And by resting up, that's code for "running around to pick up a few more supplies, running to the inn, running back out after her Furret to keep her from challenging Morty to another showdown, leaving aforementioned Furret in the inn, running to the Center to check on her Rapidash, running back to harass the others and do any cheering for Gym battles, and finally running back out to go get more food."
This also includes finally ceasing running to play a short game of catch with a Flareon, who takes some mischievous delight in trying to trip up the occasional innocent bystander in the process. You may have seen glimpses of her every so often, but Rise finally seems semi-stationary when she calls her fluffy fire friend back for petting. APPROACH? ]
((OOC: Again, thread-hopping is perfectly fine! Action or prose, whichever you prefer, it's just three kids, a wizard, and a bear. Go ahead and tag in, guys!))

POKEMON CENTER
[Except you'll notice that he's sitting in a chair, eyes closed and clutching the Riolu clinging to him. Is he sleeping? Quite possibly, considering he's hardly gotten any sleep in the last week and a half. It's not a heavy sleep, in any case, so waking him won't take very much at all.]
[He's only drooling a little, really.]

In fact, the moment he notices that Yosuke is asleep, he'll be sneaking over quietly. squeak... squeak... squeak... as he approaches, Teddie uncaps a permanent marker he had stored in the depths of his bear suit.
no one will stop his creativity. no one will stop...
this. well unless yosuke wakes up while teddie's leaning over to doodle on his face, but you know. he's trying to be quiet.]
/threadjacks
...wait. He stops in his tracks as he sees Teddie leaning over Yosuke
rather suspiciously]...what're you doing?
uwooh kamilah so bold
[yep he's crazy. after a small pause, teddie's humming in victory.]
I'm drawing on Yosuke's face.
not as bold as kosy
we can be bold together, kamilah. ///
[no, teddie, no.]
As for why I'm being an artiste... Well. He's sleeping! It's tradition!
this is okay with me ///

[...Well, until he feels something on his face. He lifts his hand to slap it away, thinking it's probably just Setanta. Until it doesn't go away, to which he opens his eyes, and sees Teddie. And that marker...]
Wh-- WHAT THE HELL!?
no subject
[teddie that is not what you say to someone who's face you just drew on. He places the marker behind his back quickly (must HIDE THE EVIDENCE), and now Teddie is trying to look as innocent as possible.
... well yosuke already saw him, but he's going to do so anyway.]

You did not just-
[Yosuke gets up, rushing to the nearest reflective surface. Surprisingly, the meek Riolu doesn't seem terrible bothered, although a little shaken.]
[Well, until Yosuke looks in the mirror and sees his reflection, that is.]

I'M GONNA KILL YOU, YOU DUMB ASS BEAR!

Aargh, this is so complicated! [That little outburst probably catches the attention of anyone in the center. Chie never claimed to be a good strategist.]

POKEMON CENTER
Ecruteak Gym next... [He says quietly to himself, brushing his hair away from his face. He inwardly reviews what he knows the Ghost type pokemon, wondering which pokemon he should take with him.]
no subject
So you're gonna challenge the gym too, Merlin?
no subject
Yeah. I meant to collect the badges a while back. [He pats the seat beside him in invitation.] Got a bit sidetracked when I began helping Souji at the Centre.
no subject
Heh, I bet. Must be a lot of work keeping that place going. You have any of the other badges yet?
no subject
Just the Violet and Goldenrod ones. How about you, Chie?

▶ ▷ ▶ the pokemon center
there is a misdreavus stalking him from behind, her smile ramped up to a 7.5 on the scale of troll. she is holding, as it stands, a hair iron.
let's hope Fuji isn't too particularly attached to his hair.]
no subject
What, it won't burn him. ]

and then, a snort, as he crouches down next to the two pokemon and the hair iron, amused.]
Oh, my hero.
