This time nothing was stopping this meeting from happening.

Even when they had met at the Ice cream party, and wasn't that a bit of a heartwarming meeting, Lion and Hayate still had something Very Important pending.

Because of this, as soon as news came about Hayate visiting Violet once more, and after getting confirmation from him that there would be time for such a thing, Lion had started getting everything ready.
Lion picked between all the blends of tea around, the ones that would go best with cake, and made sure to choose a nice quiet place to set the table and chairs...

Oh this time there was going to be cake, tea and some nice conversation under the shade of a tree, and there was nobody who was stopping it.

And so that takes us to today. When Lion has finished setting everything up about ten minutes earlier than the meeting time, and is now waiting for Hayate.

Meeting a dear friend again was always something wonderful, wasn't it?

I wanted to make sure that we would both enjoy the day. Since I arrived here, I found myself with quite a lot of free time, so tea has become a bit of a hobby.

Mmm... *Siiiip* It's good that you found a hobby aside from training or breeding Pokemon! I think a lot of people could stand to learn from that example...

I do enjoy learning about pokémon too, but that doesn't really fill up all my free time... I also read quite a bit, there are many things to do here.

... and here I am just socializing and helping out newbies all the time.

There is nothing wrong about that, as long as you don't let inactivity win you over.

I don't think inactivity will even dare to kick in until after I manage to reach Blackthorn...

That's a good thing, isn't it? There is nothing worse for a person than letting their lives go adrift.

There are definitely a few things worse than that... *siiiip* But I get what you mean...

I think we can certainly say that it's one of the worst things one can do to oneself.

... mm... I'm glad mine has a bit of direction now, if nothing else.

That's always a good thing. Setting some goals gives us something to strive for, and a reason to work much harder, even if those goals are simple or short-term ones.

To be fair, mine is actually lacking in it at this very moment due to... well... you know. Being here.

Yes, that's true too... That is why it's also good to have some short term goals in this place.

I suppose we can always wait for someone else to see if it has any clues for a way back...

Well... Beating the league and the champion is what makes the credits roll... So if anything will make a person up and vanish from Johto, that would be it.

In that context it only makes even more sense... I wonder if that will be the way out, or if it will turn out to be just another rumor.

... I'd rather not think about what would happen if it's not. Besides, I'm pretty sure that's not a rumor yet...

I've heard some people mentioning it... But of course it is not as widespread as the eight badges one.

I think that only applies to people who know the games at the moment... I don't think I know anyone who actually has all the badges.
