good morning, rose! i missed you...
Who:
usedwindything
usedtherapy
Where: Goldenrod Inn
When: Evening of the 22nd
Summary: Rose wakes up from her canon update coma a day later than expected, but that's okay. It's not like the timing really effects his surprise date plans.
Rating: G (perhaps occasional language? Idk)
Log:
[To say that he was happy to see her eyes finally open again was perhaps the grossest understatement imaginable. He wasn't just "happy", no. "Happy" was far too weak of a word to describe John's emotional state, but he was far too worked up to think of a better one. So we're just going to say that he was really super duper happy or something. But that's not the point. The point is, Rose is awake again and gosh darnit girl, why did it take you an extra day he was starting to get worried!]
[So anyway, Rose is conscious again, John is trying not to pass out from excitement, there are hugs all around, and it was basically the most joyous of reunions imaginable. Too bad we won't actually get to see it played out.]
[Fast forward a few minutes. Rose is still in bed, sending a message to let people know that she's conscious and fine again; John is in the small hotel kitchenette, attempting to make chicken friend rice. Because he's been planning what is sure to be an incredibly romantic stay-at-home date ever since Nepeta planted the idea in his head last week. And he knows Rose likes Chinese food and this is really the only dish he thinks he could pull off.]
[Keyword there being think. While John may be able to handle simpler things like pastas, soups, and even plain rice with no trouble at all, fried rice is proving to be a bit too advanced for him at moment. With as much as they're on the road and with how limited the hotel kitchens are, it's not like he's had a ton of cooking practice here. Or maybe he should have tried making it a few times BEFORE tonight so he had a better idea of what he was doing. Or better yet, gone out to dinner instead and left it to people who actually know what they're doing. Then maybe there wouldn't be the scent of something burning coming from the kitchen.]
[At least he hasn't managed to set the fire alarm off yet?]

Come on, slow poke. Let's go enjoy the snow.

...quite a lot transpired while I was home. Imps were killed, weapons gained, plans formulated and executed...

Oh...I see. Sorry I just...was wondering how caught up with the rest of us you are now. But if you don't want to talk about it, that's fine! We can just talk about it later! Or...never. Whichever you prefer!

I suppose there are two things that stand out among the rest of things considered "good". Would you like to hear about those?

I've managed to reach god tier.
no subject
You did?! Really? That's great! So in the future we're both god tier? What about Dave and Jade?
no subject
Yes, really. I'm not positive on Jade, but seeing as Dave did as well, I will confidently assume that she does also.
no subject
Wow...that is good to hear! But wait. Neither Vriska nor Karkat mentioned this. So...does that mean you're even further in the timeline than them now? Because that seems like kind of a big thing for them to leave out!

What would you say if I told you that you proposed to me?

[Apparently that's what he would say. Because he's not quite sure that he heard that right.]
