The Great Ponyta and Rapidash Races!

Who: Louise Harwich and all who come to the races
Where: National Park
When: December 9th
Summary: It's the day of the Ponyta and Rapidash races!
Rating: Shouldn't get higher than PG, I'd think.

Louise had to smile at the turn-out for the races he'd set up. Despite anything negative that might have happened, he was pleased with these results. The money would be very beneficial to them here. Not only that but he simply loved to win and come out on top. Obviously he'd succeeded admirably in that venture.

The weather was chilly but he hardly cared about that at the moment. He wanted to see the races play out, see how people reacted to them.

Everything was perfect in his eyes.

[And that's perfectly fine with her, especially since she's a little too excited about the race and more than a little nervous about seeing Mamoru again. Besides it means they get to spend time together even if it's just walking around holding hands.]

Do you think we have time to look around the park before the races?

We should. I've never been here before, so it'll be nice to walk around.

[He takes her hand and smiles warmly.]

Tot would like that. [She smiles back as they start around the park, Akihiko following behind them.]

[Schuldig follows them as well, happy that there's water around and he gets to explore somewhere new.]

Good luck racing him today.

Thank you. Mamoru said he was really fast but Tot doesn't care if he wins or not, just that he has fun.

That's a good way of thinking about it. I think he'll have fun no matter what.

[Nagi reaches out to pet Akihiko's nose lightly.]

[The Rapidash nuzzles into the touch quite happy to accept any and all offered his way.]

Tot thinks so too, the man who set up the race said they really love to run so it will be good for him to run around with the others.

Once we leave Goldenrod, he can run a lot too -- we'll get to travel faster that way.

[Nagi can't ride on any of his, but they're both small enough to ride the Rapidash together, he thinks.]

That would be nice.

[Akihiko is strong enough to carry the both of them, not that Tot minds the traveling part since it's just the two of them--and a bunch of Pokemon--even if it can be cold, wet, and rough.

She stops when they reach the fountain knowing the silly Psyduck would want to play, even if it was too cold.]

[Of course he wants to play. Schuldig jumps in and splashes Akihiko a little before he trips over his own feet and goes sliding. Woops.

Nagi laughes when he sees that.]

No matter how strong he gets, he's still clumsy.

[It's almost possible to understand the sigh Akihiko uses toward Schuldig and Tot also has to laugh at the both of them, although not as much at the Rapidash.]

But he's growing in other ways, so it's just who he is.

[Tot goes to sit down on the fountain's edge, far enough away from where Schuldig is now playing. No getting wet for her this time, thank you please.]

[Schu just wants to get himself and maybe Akihiko a bit wet. He remembers not to get his Trainer wet after Nagi's annoyance last time.]

I know. I like him how he is by now, too.

[Well the giant fire horse has no use for the Psyduck or his water and walks off a little ways up the path still in sight of Tot.]

He's not as annoying as he used to be.

[Schuldig gives a long disappointed Pssssssssssy when Akihiko walks away, but goes back to amusing himself a moment later.]

...most of the time, he's not.

[The silly thing is going to need a hot bath once he's done, even though it's day time it's still cold. With Akihiko further up the path, Tot shivers a little and pulls her coat tighter around her.]

Tot still likes him though.

[Once she shivers, Nagi slides an arm around her waist to keep her closer and warmer.]

I think he knows.

[She lays her head down on his shoulder and nuzzles in closer.]

Do you think...Is it okay that Tot still likes Mamoru too?

[They've talked about Weiss before, but she doesn't really care any more. It's just too hard to connect all of that with the way things are now and the person she knows, but she doesn't want to disappoint Nagi either.]

[He squeezes her side a little and almost smiles before he hears that question. Nagi didn't expect that at all.]

It's okay if you like him. I work for him at home and Weiss hurt people important to me too. Mamoru-san isn't much like how he was when he called himself Omi.

...I'm sorry I didn't tell you the truth earlier.

[She looks up at Nagi and smiles.]

It's okay; you were just trying to protect me again. But you don't have to keep doing that. And you shouldn't keep the truth from someone you care about.

I don't want anything bad to happen to you again, Tot.

[He'll protect her no matter what it takes, no matter where they are.]

If anything else come up, I'll try not to hide it from you again,

[She knows he will and she doesn't mind it too much; it's romantic and she kind of likes that.]

Okay.

[Sitting up, she leans over and kisses him. At least this time it's not as rushed as their first and she doesn't hit her nose.]

[He kisses back and moves enough that the hand not on her waist rests on her shoulder. Nagi doesn't want to rush it this time -- they're somewhere safe and it feels nice to be this close to Tot.]

[With everything that's gone on over the past month, it's been a long time since she's been really happy, but this...She doesn't plan on going anywhere, so she's quite happy to wrap her arms around him as well.]

[Nagi's pretty happy here too. It's not home, but at least he gets to be with Tot and not worry as much about anything horrible happening to her.

But as much as part of him wants to keep this up forever, the race is probably about to start. He pulls back, a little out of breath, and lightly kisses her temple.]

I'm glad you're here with me.

[Tot sits back a little reluctantly, but...yeah.]

Tot's glad too.

We should get back soon, right?

[She gets up to get Akihiko so they can walk back to where the race is happening.]
