Who: Tot, Nagi Naoe and Maes Hughes

Summary: It comes down to two men, a girl and wondering what the other has on his mind regarding said girl.

It’s not that she was very trusting of people in the first place, particularly not of strange men she’d only talked to via Pokegear, but Tot was pretty certain she had nothing to fear from Mr. Maes. He reminded her a lot of her Papa--he didn’t talk to her like she was stupid, explained things to her so she could understand, and he had helped her out quite a lot with a problem. All of this was why she agreed to met him when he asked if she would.

Not that someone was going to let her go met some strange man alone however even if it was at a public place.

"Maybe you should try training with other people as well, that way you can stop the fight before she gets hurt." That would help if nothing else did, she would work on thinking of something else later.

"You should also walk really, really fast then to get to Azalea quickly."

"My team's strong," he offered as a way to help Hughes level up with a bit less trouble than he'd been having previously. Nagi assumed it would be good to stay on his good side.

"I've gone out and bought myself a bicycle, so that should help take a few days off the trip!" Though, it'd been a really long time since he'd ridden one, and honestly, it looked a little ridiculous. Even still, the one benefit to being a member of Team Rocket, it seemed, was that he got paid weekly without having to do much of anything...

Maes pauses at the offer from Nagi. "Oh? I wouldn't mind that, if you ever had some free time." He hadn't expected anything to that extent, honestly. But he certainly wouldn't turn down an offer if it were made.

"Tot could help you train too, with some of her lower level Pokemon." It never hurt to fight against different types for the experience.

That might be better, given the levels most of Nagi's team was at. He smiled at Tot again and let Ampharos return to his ball since there wasn't anything for him to do now.

"Maybe that's a better idea," he admitted a moment later.

His Eevee is happily bounding in circles at the prospect of having new Pokemon to play with. (Play with, battle against... this little Eevee can't really tell the difference, from how Maes has managed to train her.)

"I think Elsie is trying to say she'd like that."

That how it usually goes with her Pokemon as well, so Tot's won't mind at all. It's all play time as far as they're concerned.

"Tot would like that too."

"Maybe I should let you two start that," he offered softly. Nagi trusted Hughes not to hurt Tot at all; he seems harmless and determined to keep Tot safe as well, so that earns him points in Nagi's mind.

Elsie immediately perks up at the thought, and glances over at Tot, waiting to see what would happen next.

"Shall we give it a try, then?"

Tot looked at the Pokeballs trying to remember just which ones she had with her before taking one and releasing her Meowth. He was her lowest level and was gentle enough not to hurt Elsie as well.

She got down next to the Meowth and told him very sternly, "This is just for practice; don't hurt her."

"You should attack first, Kyou can take a hit better than Elsie would."

With them enjoying themselves, Nagi stepped away. If they wanted him to stay, they'd probably say something.

"Alright then, Elsie, tackle!" It wasn't entirely hard to pick a move to choose, considering how little Elsie actually knew.

She immediately went into serious mode, though the tackle she dealt Kyou didn't do much.

At least no one laughed at the poor little thing, but Kyou did look up at Tot with a very questioning, "Meowth."

There weren't too many moves that wouldn't knock out the little Eevee with the first hit, which kind of left them with an easy thought as well. "Scratch." In a flash the Meowth's claws were out to hit Elsie while Tot covered her eyes with her hand.

Elsie rears back in surprise. She'd mostly been fighting Magikarp thus far (mostly because they were the only Pokemon on Route 34 that she could defeat...) and they rarely ever fought back, so this was... a little bit shocking, to say the least.

She looks up at Maes, waiting for further instructions.

He gives her an encouraging smile. "Growl, and then tackle again." But she's slow, and this is all new to her, so Elsie is definitely taking her time trying to look as threatening as possible.

... Which, isn't very threatening.
