[It runs. The wind carries it, fog is its mantle, and the ground weeps dew at its passing. It has known only endless sleep for so long, and now, it has awakened to the scream of the grass and the clouds, knowing in its heart that the world's Order is not being kept. The Old One sleeps too, too deep, not watching, and then they all fell after it.

But then it heard whispers, up in its cold mountain hideaway where pure crystal water flows in trickling, shimmering rivulets. The water whispered to it, wake up wake up, I am hurt, and it did. Its brothers sleep still, their consciousness tickling at the back of its mind like a reassurance. It does not know what awaits, only that it must run, and seek, and destroy.]

[He’s at a loss too. This is far from the overwhelming, glorious victory he wanted.]

Slice! Dice! Back on Protect duty!

[Arbok and Machoke are recovered just in time for Cobra to see Suicune clip Skarmory’s wings and send it nosediving into the dirt.]

Strato-Viper! Get back here! Ugh, I need to distract it! Skull Buster, use Ssseismic Toss on A.S.P.! A.S.P.! Hyper Beam and try to land on that thing!

[Even he knows that could end badly, and probably will end badly, but he needs to get Strato-Viper back up in the air as soon as possible.]

[Archer frowns, then motions for Alakazam to return. Shortly after, the rest of his Pokémon return as well. He briefly checks over all of them - several have been hit by an Ice Beam attack and are weakened, and he uses Full Restores on them. The only exception is the Porygon-Z, who is down to very little health remaining.]

Time to switch tactics. Crobat, Tabiya, keep trying to confuse and paralyze it. Alekhine, attempt to disable Ice Beam. Lucena, remain here and use Nasty Plot. Axis, you'll be using Pain Split. Get in as close as you can; Maróczy will cover you. Dismissed.

[The Houndoom and Porygon-Z dash off to complete their orders while Crobat and Raichu go back to spamming status ailment moves. Alakazam teleports in and out repeatedly, trying to land a Disable attack. That leaves Honchkrow perched on his shoulders using Nasty Plot repeatedly. Archer isn't pleased with this - nothing they're doing so far is working.]

Cobra, do your Pokémon know any defensive moves like Light Screen? We're going to need to come up with a strategy as soon as possible.

[While on paper, his plan might’ve worked, the result was definitely not what he wanted. Arbok got knocked out of the sky as it prepared to blast, landing right on Machoke’s head.]

Defensive moves, Archer? I don’t think I have any of those!

[Seriously, defense? If he wanted defense, he’d have captured a Golem or something to act as a wall. Of course, that would be absolutely terrible in this situation, but that’s his idea of defense.]

Wait, I have…one I think! Arbok! Get off of Ssskull Buster and use Stockpile! Once you’re away from that thing, use Swallow! That should buy some time before you can use Haze! That’s a defensive move right?

[He doesn’t know. He’s never had to use it.]

Skull Buster! Use Leer! Try and lower its defense! Strato-Viper, I sssaid get over here! I don't care if you have to crawl! Do not get knocked out!

Wait, Haze...!

[Oh, that's perfect, Cobra! Archer sends orders for Alekhine to call his Pokémon back. They return quickly enough and Archer starts giving out orders.]

Maróczy, Alekhine, you'll both stay here. Crobat, Lucena - get as close as you can to that thing and use Haze. Make sure you both use it at the same time! It should create a smokescreen effect to buy us a bit of time. Axis, Lock-On and Zap Cannon! That should hopefully do some damage. Tabiya, put up Light Screens. It seems to be focusing on using Special Attacks.

[Cobra's definitely got the right idea; healing his Pokémon would probably be a good thing. Archer uses Full Restores on all of them and sends them out with a wave of his hand.]

[Good idea, Archer. If it can’t see where they are, it can’t spam Ice Beam at them.]

A.S.P.! Swallow whatever it is you have Stockpiled! Now! That should recover some HP while I heal Strato-Viper!

[Okay, there we go. Strato-Viper’s back in action once more.]

Don’t pick up any bombs this time. Start firing Sssand Attack into the Haze. That way if the thing tries to move through it, it’ll get blinded! A.S.P.! Haze! Assist Archer’s Pokémon! Argh, this would be ssso much easier if we had some military equipment! Or even some dedicated medics!

[Seriously. He has no problem commanding his Pokémon, but trying to command, heal, and avoid being frozen all at the same time is taking its toll on him.]
