Spring Cleaning: the beast wakes;
Who: Suicune (
legendarybeasts), Rocket operatives and bystanders in the area
Where: Route 7
When: May 8th, 8:30PM
Summary: Rockets capture Suicune.
Rating: PG-13
Log:
[It runs. The wind carries it, fog is its mantle, and the ground weeps dew at its passing. It has known only endless sleep for so long, and now, it has awakened to the scream of the grass and the clouds, knowing in its heart that the world's Order is not being kept. The Old One sleeps too, too deep, not watching, and then they all fell after it.
But then it heard whispers, up in its cold mountain hideaway where pure crystal water flows in trickling, shimmering rivulets. The water whispered to it, wake up wake up, I am hurt, and it did. Its brothers sleep still, their consciousness tickling at the back of its mind like a reassurance. It does not know what awaits, only that it must run, and seek, and destroy.]

This is so cool! I've always wanted to fly! Everything's so tiny down there!

But something’s missing. Where’s the speech? The glorious tirade about how capturing this Pokémon will give Team Rocket control of the world? The maniacal laugh? No matter how much time he spends in Johto, he’ll never understand how Team Rocket can be so different from Cobra. Oh well, if they’re not going to do it, he’ll go ahead and address the rest of the helicopter whether they want to or not.]
Lisssten up! As Private, I feel it’s my duty to say something here. One year ago, we attempted a similar operation. It ended in failure. Horrific, disgraceful failure. That will not happen again! Our superiors made that very, very clear! And I, Cobra Commander, will not tolerate it either! As the message said, our target is a Pokémon known as Suicune. Admittedly, I know little of this creature, but since the message said it had something to do with the wind, I’d assume, despite its appearance, that it is a Flying-Type! Overwhelm it quickly from all sides, preferably with Electric attacks and bring it to its knees! Let thissss beast be made into an example of what happens to anyone who dares interfere with CO-
[Wait, no. Not doing that this time.]
With Team Rocket!
[And having finished his tirade, he’ll just sit back down now.]

Well, that's...certainly one way to boost morale, Commander.

As Cobra speaks, she watches him closely.
It seems he has a story to tell.
Once it seems general conversation has resumed, the woman slips her pokeballs into a pocket and approaches.]
Horrific, disgraceful failure sounds a bit dramatic. Would you mind sharing the details with a new recruit?

[Archer's response is calm, though the smirk is rather obvious.]
[Hey, Gorthan, this is just like our first ride in a helicopter! Do you remember? Except this is involving a lot less shrieking for Kimblee to sit his ass down and not fall out of the damn helicopter. We're improving!]

Or that incident with the moon. Don't get her started on the incident with the moon.
So really, you'd think that winging through the air would be a bit easier after all thaaaaaahahahahaha yeahno. She's currently got one hand pressed against the door, the other against the arm of the seat, and is pressing herself back so far in said seat that she appears to be trying to meld with it.
The most those incidents did were teach her that she won't die permanently. Never doing this again. Never. Nevernevernevernever.]

COME TALK TO THE ADMINS
[Ariana is barking orders to anyone who will listen, making sure that every Rocket onboard is well-equipped and knows what they're doing. If you need mission specs, she's the lady to ask. She might not be necessarily nice in her explanations, though, especially when her fuse is shortened from stress.]
[Petrel is chilling with the grunts. No, seriously, wanna hear stupid pokemon jokes? Go talk to Petrel. He's honestly the most social of the bunch, though it's likely most Rockets won't even know who he is.]
[Proton is on his earpiece, jotting down notes on an electronic tablet as his field team report on Suicune's movements. Rockets working in the lab might recognize him a little bit, and even though he can't personally supervise all the research that gets done, he does like to keep an eye on new projects and proposals, especially when they involve doing horrible, horrible things to pokemon.]
[[ooc: Their title is 'Executive'! Warning: actually bothering them (besides Petrel, he's not so bad) is a good way to get toilet duty for-fucking-ever.]]

Slice! Dice! Crowd control! I know you’re weak, so target anyone who gets close instead of their Pokémon! A.S.P.! Hyper Beam! Hide behind Sssskull Buster if you need to recharge! Skull Buster! When A.S.P. isn’t recharging, move in and use that thing as a punching bag! Sludge Viper! Poison it! Strato-Viper! Grab some of these bombs and provide air support! Go! Go! Go! COBRAAAAAAAAAAAA! ATTAC-
[As he goes to advance, an Ice Beam strikes the ground right in front of him. Oh god why, what is your problem Suicune? He’s not a Pokemon! Panic mode activated. He's not fleeing, but avoiding becoming a Cobrasicle just became a top priorty.]
Sssslice! Dice! Forget crowd control! Get over here and ssshield me! Protect your trainer! With your lives if needed!

Ampharos, Discharge. Gallade, Leaf Blade.
[As he orders his attacks, he's agile enough to dodge any Ice Beam that may be aimed at him as opposed to his Pokémon. He just merely wonders how long he can keep this up.]

Goddamn it, Kimblee.
At the very least, his vantage point from a good thirty feet up is giving him a good field of view; he's communicating with his Pokémon through Starmie. It pays to have a psychic-type on the field after all, it seems; he's seen Archer do this before, and Kenya is more than content to relay messages.
Of course, it isn't long before an Ice Beam connects solidly with the Steelix; she isn't down for the count, though she lowers herself angrily toward the ground. Kimblee moves with her, crouching down to lower his center of gravity and throwing down a Full Restore to recover her HP; it's...probably for the best that he isn't relying on verbal commands to control his Pokémon, as he's holding on to that Steelix for dear life when she lunges toward Suicune with Thunder Fang, laughing maniacally the entire time.
This? This is what he signed on for.]

Hit it with your best shot, guys! Don't hold back! Attack with everything you've got!
[They're all dishing out their most powerful attacks, although Kira is focusing more on casting illusions to fool the Suicune since there... really isn't much else she can do at her level.
Meanwhile, Clive is going to take out his PokéGear and turn on the camera function, using the distraction created by his Pokémon (and everyone else's, really) to try and get as close to the Suicune as possible, completely ignoring the fact that he could get hit by a stray attack from Suicune or any of the other Pokémon in this huge mess of a battle. He really wants a picture of Suicune, okay.]

Yet here the butler is, on the back of his Arcanine, taking in the pure chaos that is unfolding as he's huddled up in his coat which already seems way too little for this. He can't really make heads or tails of what is going on, but... In this kind of scenario, it's probably a good idea to side with one that's desperately defending itself, right? Even if all he can see are brief flashes of the thing amidst it all.*
I-I-I know I jokingly said not to cut off the head of a Pokemon god earlier, b-but I didn't think there would actually be one...! I'm... I'm going to regret this, aren't I...? I sure hope Pokegods can differentiate between friend and foe...
*With one last shudder before he steels himself, Hayate makes the Executive Decision to release his Shedinja, calling out to it over the... well, everything.*
Hattori-! We're helping that presumably dog god out! Hyper Beam!
*Nothing says HELLO I AM NOT TEAM ROCKET like firing a giant laser into the mass of grunts attacking the Legendary, right?*
(( Feel free to go nuts in attacking Hayate to keep him away/busy, he'll teleport to safety with his Gardevoir once he starts getting really wrecked! ))

THE BATTLE
It's also knocked out his new monster, the creature returned to the pokéball as soon as he can get his muscles to move, sending out his Munchlax soon after, followed quickly by his Sycther- He'd send out the Gyarados in his party, but he still doesn't have the badges to keep it under control. The last thing he needs are TWO powerful monsters against the Rockets.]
GO! Rollout-- Double team! GO.
[He dislikes leaving them to do the work solo, but there are too many monsters out to get in on the action.
It doesn't mean he isn't going to try though- he just needs the opening.]

Re: THE BATTLE
So here, Suicune. Face a confused Natu and a Magikarp.]
Natu, use Peck! Magikarp, splash!

AFTERWARDS
unless you're Cobra and Kimblee; the Celadon base is closest, but if you'd like airlift elsewhere, you're welcome to request it. YOU DONE GOOD.]no subject
There has to be a way to rapidly increase the levels of one's Pokémon. Even if he's not the type to charge at things head-on, when called upon to do just that he can't afford to lag behind. Alternatively, he needs to find more ways of approaching his goals that don't involve direct battle - until he has the firepower to back up outright aggression....
Long story short, planning and brooding over here. The air is thick with the combined angst and roiling brainpower of a children's animé villain scorned.
Because good grief, was this mission tough when you haven't hit level 50 yet.]
no subject
He stumbles inside the Celadon base and heads straight for the nearest chair, climbing right onto it and curling right up on it, using the armrest is a pillow. Being tiny really can be a good thing sometimes... His legs are still hanging off the chair a bit, though, but he doesn't mind.
Sitting right next to the chair is his Zoroark, Kira, who's just chilling and watching everyone around them. After a few minutes, she glances back at her trainer to see that he's already sound asleep. She shakes her head a little. Clive really shouldn't be sleeping there, but since he's so tired, she'll be nice and let him stay like that for a couple hours. She'll wake him up herself if he's not awake by then.
But in the meantime, she'll just continue observing her surroundings and checking out anyone that walks by.]
(( Feel free to bother either Kira or Clive! She won't stop anyone who tries to get him to wake his sleepy ass up, but she will stop anyone who tries to pull pranks on him or are being too rough with him, etc. ))
