Spring Cleaning: the beast wakes;

Who: Suicune ([personal profile] legendarybeasts), Rocket operatives and bystanders in the area
Where: Route 7
When: May 8th, 8:30PM
Summary: Rockets capture Suicune.
Rating: PG-13
Log:

[It runs. The wind carries it, fog is its mantle, and the ground weeps dew at its passing. It has known only endless sleep for so long, and now, it has awakened to the scream of the grass and the clouds, knowing in its heart that the world's Order is not being kept. The Old One sleeps too, too deep, not watching, and then they all fell after it.

But then it heard whispers, up in its cold mountain hideaway where pure crystal water flows in trickling, shimmering rivulets. The water whispered to it, wake up wake up, I am hurt, and it did. Its brothers sleep still, their consciousness tickling at the back of its mind like a reassurance. It does not know what awaits, only that it must run, and seek, and destroy.]

They’re all here? All of the Executives?

[It’s hard for him to contain his surprise. All of the high ranking officers on one helicopter. What if it were to blow up? Lack of permanent death or not, putting all of the leaders in one easily destroyable ship is just mindboggling.

Oh right. Executive Petrel asked a question, didn’t he?]

Truth be told, yessss, I am, Executive.

[Hopefully he got the right rank.]

If I may ssspeak freely, I rather enjoy these combat missions. They remind me of home!

[Plus, it’s a break from the soul crushing boredom that is marked on the map as Diglett’s Cave.]

[Well you see, Cobra, they were originally supposed to all be on different choppers, but that would have been hell to coordinate OOCly, so one extra-large vehicle was commissioned. It would be pretty damn hard to take this baby out, though. It's essentially a flying tank.]

[Petrel smiles easily at Cobra's enthusiasm.]

Where's 'home' for you, if I may ask?
cobraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa: (THE WORLD BELONGS TO COBRAAAA)

Apologies for the tl;dr

[Even though Petrel just asked where, Cobra’s going to explain how his world works. Hopefully, this is going to be a long ride because he’s not giving the short version.]

A place called Earth, Executive. The people are more or less similar to here, but the world itself functions quite differently. There are multiple things called countries, sssimilar to the regions you have here. But each country, or nation, is controlled by its own government. These countries occasionally go to war with each other, increasing and decreasing the size of their regions. Some are wiped off the map entirely. There’s no Pokémon either. Battles between countries are fought using machines instead.

[He takes a moment to catch his breath. He’s getting to the good part anyway. The part that explains why he could be put to better use by these people.]

Of course, as I’m sssure we all know, your average every day person doesn’t know how to run their life. Politicians, do you even have those there? The people that are chosen to rule don’t always know what to do with their regions. The petty squabbles, territory disputes, all of that is just an annoyance. That’s why in my world, I started an organization to get rid of all that. Conquer the world through superior power and intimidation. Imagine how delighted I was to find out that a ssssomewhat similar organization existed in this world.

[Somewhat being the key word. He’s still not sure what Team Rocket’s endgame is whether it be world domination or something else entirely.]

no apologies required! sorry for lateness.

Using machines, huh? Now that's a new one.

[He listens to Cobra, half-interested. Archer's the one who likes this sort of stuff; says that it's important for them to learn from these new, foreign people. Petrel's not sure what to make of that, thinks he's been doing his job pretty damn well for the last few years. Besides, what do they have to teach him? How to fight other humans? How to go to war?]

Well, we do have politicians, but if they do their job badly, all the better for us. The more weaknesses, the easier it is for us to sneak in. What's the fun in just beating 'em down? The art's in holding the puppet strings, wouldn't you agree?

No problem!

[No. Bad Petrel. Pay attention to him.

He can see that he’s losing him, so he’ll switch gears to Petrel’s topic. Normally, he’d just keep talking, but he doesn’t want to annoy any more Executives.]

Oh, so you do have politicians?

[He wasn’t aware of that. Maybe there is some sort of government in Johto after all.]

Of course, brute force is only one tactic. Coercion and bribery can work just as well. And if they’re anything like the ones in my world, they’re ridiculoussssly easy to corrupt and manipulate! Of course, there’s another way to influence the political system. If I may ask a question, Executive? Has Team Rocket given any thought to placing one of their own undercover as a candidate?
