fate/stay drunk; (open)
WHO:
Saber the Blue,
Saber the Red,
Gilgamesh,
Enkidu,
Rider,
Final Dead Lancer, and I'm not sure who else. I'll edit accordingly later!
WHERE: Some poor tavern in Goldenrod City
WHEN: August 21st (backdated)
SUMMARY: What happens when you get a bunch of ancient heroes together to drink?
RATING: PG13+ for drinking shenanigans and possibly violence. It's possible with this crowd.
LOG:
It had been impossible to secure a place for them to drink on their own. A world like this has no need to stop their operations for any man who claims to be a king. Much like for any young maiden who made the very same claim. So here they were, heroes throughout time and worlds, sitting together at a couple tables side-by-side to accommodate them. Heaven help any random passerby who thought it might be a good idea to join in...

Better than other times we have met. As enemies on the field of battle, there was little opportunity for us to mingle as we are now.

On another note - I've encountered two Sabers now. Is there any other name I am permitted to use for you?

[ There was a time so long ago that Saber would have been unable to bring herself to give up her name easily. Fortunately, Merlin taught her in this realm that such beliefs were pointless. ]
Arturia. [ Looking away. ] Unless you prefer to call me by the name Arthur. I would not object to that either.

You act as if I should immediately know one or the other. What story is attached to them? [if there is one thing Enkidu loves, it's a good story.]

The tale of a boy who became king. It can be a pretty long-winded one should I continue.

[ Bribery is unfit for someone like her, so it always alarms her when people are quick to give her a kind gesture.

Let us see, this looks like it would be comfortable enough.
[ Plopping down lady-like into a nearby spot, she'll turn to face him. The alcohol may come later when she feels she needs the courage, but for now? She's content. ]
In the time from which I hail, a female heir to the throne is unheard of. Kings wanted sons to rule when they grew too old or frail, although I am sure this could be true of anytime. Was it the same as your own?

What he hadn't expected was to be struck with an illness before another child could be conceived and therefore, when he passed, there was no man to take the throne. Not an ideal situation for any kingdom, would you not agree?

[ Closing her eyes, she thinks back on it. ] A holy blade had been forced inside a stone and whoever pulled it free would become king.
So knights and even boys who were not fit to be knights all tried their hand at it.

Well, you understand where I am getting at, yes?

No one would have a maiden for a king, you understand.

But gender does not impact one's skill as a ruler, and I'm going to guess yours was an eventful reign.

Since I could not reveal my gender to no man, I had to keep everyone at a distance. Even my own queen could not love me as a proper one should, understandably so, but I had to send away one of my best knights because of it.

[Okay, he has an inkling on what happened there, but he has no desire to make assumptions]

My people could trust me to lead a kingdom, but they could not trust me to keep their best interests in mind. No trust in a leader made the country unwell. Even my knights argued amongst themselves due to me.
