[Anywhere in Johto and Kanto, there are people interacting. Some of these strangers interacting with other strangers. Some of these folks are your old friends. The insanity has happened yet again, and boy will it be insane.

In short, this is The Ultimate Mingling post version 2, where everyone can run into each other again and again. Damage will only sometimes be repaired, but it doesn't matter--have fun with it! It's primarily for those in the fourth wall who run into another oddball from some other mythical land who's going "What's this place?" just like them, but for everyone who wants to just continue going nuts. Seriously guys, why did you guys let Sunny even bother writing a description. JUST DO FUN THINGS.

But try not to blow up the world, okay?

Not anymore.

[With an easy toss of Hiruzen's pokéball, a tall and strong-looking Blaziken appears in a burst of light. Someone's been training.]

Oh wow! He evolved! That's awesome.

[beforethedarkness]

Yeah. He did.

[Hiruzen looks proud of himself and he thumps his chest to show it, although Sasuke doesn't seem nearly as proud as the Blaziken. Or even that happy about it.]

[Roxas picks up on that.]

Did you not want him to evolve or something? Because there are ways to do that.

[beforethedarkness]

No. I wanted him to evolve.

[seasaltkeys]

But it just wasn't what you expected, right?

[beforethedarkness]

Hiruzen evolving is a good thing. It means he's stronger.

[seasaltkeys]

But that seems to bother you, Sasuke.

[beforethedarkness]

No. That doesn't bother me.

[A beat, and he continues.] Evolving doesn't mean they're strong enough to fend for themselves.

[That seems to get Hiruzen's attention and he gives Sasuke a worried look. He should probably feel more insulted than anything, but...]

It means they are getting stronger though. And it would depend on where they are.

Hiruzen's probably fine in most areas now. But you're not going to get anywhere thinking that a level fourty pokemon isn't strong enough. You have to trust your pokemon.

[beforethedarkness]

Them being strong means nothing if their trainer doesn't know how to handle their strength.

Which is why it's so important to form a bond with your pokemon.

If you're partners, then really, nothing can stop you.

[beforethedarkness]

... It doesn't change that I failed them.

[Hiruzen croons a little bit and shakes his head. He gets annoyed when it looks like Sasuke isn't paying attention to him at all though, giving as much of a pout as his birdy beak can give.]

What do you mean? What happened, Sasuke?

[Give him a moment.]

They lost, badly, at the tournament. I wasn't ready for what was coming, and they got badly hurt because of it.

[Roxas nods. He's competitive, and doesn't take losing well.]

How badly were they hurt?

... They had to spend three days resting after the pokémon center cleaned up the worst of it.

Ouch.

Sorry to hear that, but they're alright now, right?

[beforethedarkness]

Yes. And they're going to stay that way.

Still. You shouldn't be afraid to battle.

I'm not afraid to battle.

That doesn't mean I want them to.

Isn't that the same as being afraid?

Either way, they aren't battling, right?

But I don't want them to fight. So yes, they aren't.

[Roxas looks at Hiruzen. He's not sure, because everyone has their own way of approaching pokemon, but this doesn't seem like the right approach.]

Are you training them, at least?
