That's the rub. I don't know, honestly! When I brought it up to Jane from my point in our timeline, she told me that she only had platonic feelings for me. And Roxy had told me that Dirk might have feelings for me, so I figured that maybe I'd try with him, but I haven't brought it up with him because he's just arrived and I'm not sure if I should rock the boat or let him take the first move in this waltz of awkward!

[ oh jane why. And it's not like Aradia can bring it up without breaking Jane's trust, so...gosh, this would be easier if Jane would take her advice to just explain things to Jake. ]

Well, which would you prefer it to have been? I mean, with Jane? And I think rather than figuring you'd try it - you mean a relationship, right? - you should just try to figure out who you have feelings for, first.

[Jake hesitates, but...well, it's Aradia and she's been a really good friend, and she's trustworthy and a whole bunch of other stuff. So he thinks he can talk about what's on his mind/heart.]

Maybe you're right. I mean, I don't want to hurt anybody, but that might be inevitable. As for Jane, well...it's confusing. I think I really, really do like her, but I think I like Dirk, too, just as much. I don't know, Aradia. If they ever asked me to choose, I think it would be an impossible choice for me to make.

[He sighs.]

I don't know what to do. It's confusing and I feel like I'm running myself around in circles whenever I start thinking about it!

I'm really not sure there's a way to avoid putting them on the spotlight. It's just...something that you have to do to avoid things getting worse?
