Hey all's fair in a snowball war. I got a cold ass for all that patience so you already got me. [Ugh, ugh. COLD. He doesn't like it at all. Watch he shake his coat to get it out and yelp as it goes down his back.]

Hoohoohoo! [With the snow gone finally, Jane fixes his scarf then so there's no chance snow will get down there again.]

[He sighs and shivers, while Nicki zips along over the snow around the two of them in a circle. She leaps and Dave auto holds his arms out. Leafeon now landing all three feet or so of Eevee in his arms. He pets her while looking at Jane.]

And that's another country heard from. Have you met Nicki?

Oh wow.. no, I haven't. She's lovely! [Removing a glove, Jane is letting the Pokemon sniff her first before trying to pet her.]

[Nicki sticks her head out to sniff Jane and immediately presses against her fingers. Dave raises an eyebrow and takes a step closer.] That's translated into you've been given permission, pet me now.

[Laughing lightly, Jane has at it for petting. So soooft.] What kind is she?

Leafeon, she's a grass type. ...Probably going to collect all types of Eevee. I mean why not? It's Eevee.

Grass type? There must be new evolutions then! I remember from the first games that Eevee could turn into three types, but grass certainly wasn't one. Is there enough room in a party to have all of them?

Yeah. [He can just hear Rose's long winded lecture on Eevee types. It's like this never ending drone that leaves his head ringing like he's in the sound of music.] There's four new types; psychic, dark, grass, and ice. There's more than enough room for all of them. We can actually carry around a lot.

What are the names for the psychic, dark and ice types? [Excited about new eeveelutions? HELL YES. That Leafeon is getting all the pets and little scritches she wants.]

Espeon, Umbreon, and Glaceon. You can tell the eon in their names didn't stop being a thing. [Nicki presses into the scratches as Dave smiles a bit.] And all of them are good choices to have on your side. Get a dragon too if you can. Or shit, we could get you an egg. They're resistant to a lot of shit and only ice is super effective on them.

Which kind of dragon would you recommend? [Jane might be biased towards getting a Leafeon now just because of Nicki, gosh she's so cute.]

I think you should look at what kind of team you want and find the one that suits you best. I'm going to get all of them so, probably could breed you one eventually.

Hm.. I suppose I'm not sure what kind of team to even strive for. I'd greatly appreciate that, since Eevee was always an interesting Pokemon to have with the games!

That's cool. You'll figure out what sort of team you want eventually. There's no rush just be a little selective in what you catch. Catching them all isn't our bag.

Hoo hoo, then why are all the game sayings about "gotta catch them all"?

Because what game says, oh right only catch half of all these little critters we're trying to mass market. Pick and choose like you're in an mmo looking at your class.

[Laughs lightly.] True, I don't think I would be able to tend to 150 like the old game had. I'm fairly certain there's far more than that available now too. Hmm.. I suppose I'll have to think of my class then. I'm not sure which I'd like, though a bit more firepower would be nice.

Best people to talk to about that are Rose, Karkat, and the guy on the network suggesting we go to Saffron city to get fly.

I think I will do just that after the new year starts. I wouldn't want to bother anyone with the holidays going on like this, hoohoo!

Yeah, I'd wait on that and just enjoy the holidays. We've got this huge group here including Mom and Bro. [He pauses then just keeps going.] Which is kinda funny because they're the only adults.

Hoohoo, it is a bit funny! I must admit, it would be neat if Dad showed up. He would get to relax for a change, since my Pokemon would be able to protect me, and he'd get to really meet my close friends!

And it's not like you'd have assassins after you here. Crocker corp isn't a thing here. Wait. What's your dad like?

Overprotective, but I know it's because he loves me. John actually made a funny joke about how his dad shops at the Dadly Depot, because my Dad does too! He smells like shaving cream more often than not, though I almost never see the cans; I have to wonder if he keeps them in his wallet?

He has a tendency to leave notes about the house for me; there was even one beneath the fridge when I had lil Seb lift it! Thinking I could possibly lift the fridge myself, what a hoot!
