I'm really just assuming based on the fact that we're supposed to meet up with them fairly soon after they enter their game!

Oh, another word of advice: trying to explain our world to other people usually confuses them horribly.

Aradia, trying to explain our world to myself is confusing. [She hesitates.] Well, do you mean our session, or home?

I think humans simply don't want to understand home.

Both, really. Trying to explain the game, or even just Alternia - it doesn't seem to...cross over well. Especially the quadrants, or just everyday things, you know?

Well, quadrants...that I can understand. And if you look at the two societies...[Kanaya frowns.] We're just a lot more...I don't want to same complicated, but maybe...faceted?

[It's still not the right word, but it's the best she can manage.]

Also violent, we can't forget that.

I think the violence confuses some of the humans. Not ours - but the ones here?

Well, from what I saw of their world before it was destroyed, that's not exactly surprising.

I didn't watch their world much, you know that. But the pieces of it in the dream bubbles - I think I'm not that surprised, either. Beforus seems much less...violent, too.

Yes. I thought so too. [She's quiet for a moment.] It almost makes me somewhat jealous, really. We're the only ones that had to grow up in what, compared to the others, amounted to a sort...vicious hell.

[timelymaid]

I don't know if I'm jealous or not. Things...would have gone badly for us, if we'd never played the game, don't you think? But we didn't grow old there, even if we grew up there.

I don't mean the game part. I mean...they're whole environment was different.

[timelymaid]

No, I...know what you mean. Our lives at home were not going to end well.

Yeah. I mean, it had already gone badly for you. And I wasn't exactly doing what my blood type said I should either...

...All things considered, I don't mind how things have turned out. Or this place!

Although I haven't particularly made up my mind about here.

Well, let me know when you do! I mostly like...hm. There isn't any destiny here, I don't think. We're not doing things we already have and always would have done.

Isn't it? [ Aradia's basically glowing as they talk about it, because - well. Look at her life! ] It's exciting, too. I've no idea what will happen five minutes from now, let alone tomorrow or the day after!

Do you miss your powers, though?

[timelymaid]

A little. I miss flying, you know? And it's weird not being able to do the things I once did, in terms of time. But nearly everyone is here, and everyone is alive, and...I don't know, I think there are more upsides than downsides, here.

There are pokemon here you could fly on.

[She smiles faintly.]

It seems there are, yes. With a few obvious exceptions.

Yes, it's just a little different, I think. I actually have a few flying pokemon - one from Roxy, when she was here, and then...one from Vriska. The one from Vriska used to belong to another me, I guess?

[ A curious glance aside. ] Which exceptions are those?

Apparently I was here before too. But I haven't seen anyone mention pokemon I might have had before.

[Kanaya shrugs.] Feferi isn't here. And Eridan and Gamzee are here.

It doesn't seem like it should work that way.

[timelymaid]

I think some of them are worried we'll leave soon. Apparently that's something that happens - people coming and going often. And...I think the last time I was here was so long ago, anyone who got "my" pokemon grew attached to them. Rose gave me Crabsickle at her birthday party, and Serket I got when Vriska left...so.

[ Well, she's more or less on good terms with both of the trolls mentioned for the moment, although she understands why that bothers other people. ] It would be best if everyone were here.

Apparently I was not here for a long time too. [She frowns faintly.] I am not intending to leave, though. I suppose we'll see.

Maybe. Although I do not think things can go back to the way they were before.
