I see.. [Biting her lip, Jane lets out a sigh after a few long moments of thought, and taps their cups together.] I think in the end, I should just grant it towards "time shenanigans" again. That's mostly what Jake and I have called our discrepancies in memory, and it seems the most accurate!

[Kanaya laughs softly.] That's a good way to sum up most of the inane things we can't explain from that ludicrous game.

Sometimes I'm not even certain Aradia really comprehends half of the time things involved.

It gives us something to yell at while we're confused.

She said she was the Maid of Time, I believe? Do you know if there's anything special to being a Maid? [Cuuurious, is all.]

I'm not sure, honestly. I was a Slyph, and I still don't know what that means either, to be honest.

I suppose, given the way she seems to have taken to managing the dream bubbles, it could be literal. A caretaker, of sorts.

Hmm.. well, from old fantasy stories, a Slyph was always a graceful being that took it upon itself to protect the other winged creatures. It's known as a living embodiment of air or as a fairy.

It's a shame we don't know more about those parts of our titles.

I...[She isn't quite certain what to make of that particular description, though part of her can concede it is...a little...accurate.]

I suspect we'll never know now.

For now, I suppose not. [In Jane's opinion, Kanaya fits the graceful attribute easily. In the meantime, she's finishing her drink and refilling it again.]

Some people have been here a very long time, it's entirely possible we won't return.

I don't know. Possibly. Life here is...simpler.

I suppose you don't know in your session. He's something...like a final boss of everything, I suppose. From a game perspective.

No, I've only just been receiving my game discs in the mail actually, and I don't believe the name has come up before from anyone else.

Oh? What has he been doing that makes him the final boss?

Destroying large section of the universe, as far as anyone can tell. At least, that's what Dave thought he saw. Beyond that we don't know.

Wow. Well, damn. That certainly does qualify him as the big bad villain, if that's the case!

Yeah. It's...somewhat worrying. Even with four god tiers I am not certain how we are supposed to destroy something like him.

Is there a way to get more god tier players?

I don't believe anyone else from our session can do so, as most of us already died, and our quest beds were destroyed with our planets. Aradia did so through a loophole, and Vriska is dead...

From your own session, I suppose it's still possible. I don't really know the specifics there.

How does one go about becoming god tier, anyhow?

Well, the way we understood it was that you had to die on your quest bed, and your dream self would awaken as a God Tier.

But there do seem to be a few loopholes. Aradia's dream self never left her quest bed, but when she died the first time, she didn't revive. It wasn't till later.

I don't know. None of it is entirely consistent.

Ah.. hm. [Well, it sounds a little unnerving to start with. Die on a quest bed?] That might not work for our session then, since.. well, I've been told I already have died and been revived. I know when I woke on Prospit, I had the misfortune of coming across Jake's dream self in the middle of his funeral.

[Kanaya smiles faintly in sympathy, because that sounds awful...although she's not entirely clear on the exact nature of human corpse parties.]

Well, in theory you could die on the quest bed inside your respective planet...prospit for you, I would think, but maybe Derse...and revive as god tier. It worked for Rose and Dave but I am not precisely certain Why.
