Reunion and truth

Summary: It's about time all the Rocket Grunts of Saotome told the truth to their two friends.

[They had all gathered to a room at an inn in northern Goldenrod. There was a Gardevoir in the room, watching the door to see if anyone was listening outside.

It was time to tell the truth to Natsuki and Shou. Ren had planned everything he would say to others and hoped that they would take it somewhat calmly.

Ren told them how it was possible to become the member of Team Rocket right from the very beginning and how it didn't matter if you wanted to become one or not. This was what had happened to Haruka and Hijirikawa as well as Ren himself.]

Basically our job is to do mission. Most common one of them is stealing. I've been in the Team for months and I haven't done anything worse than that. [He shoots a glance at Hijirikawa, just in case.]

Before you ask - there is a way to get out of the Team. I have a plan for that as well, so I just need your co-operation. [Well, at least a plan to get Haruka out and that was the most important thing.]

Though before that. Any questions? I'll answer everything honestly and I'm sure Haruka and Hijirikawa will both do the same.

...What sort of plan?

[ at the start of the conversation, he was constantly glaring at Ren while stealing aside concerned glances at Nanami upon breaking his glare -- but the word "plan" catches his attention. He'll focus on blowing up about the "stealing" part once he knows what he has to do for Nanami. ]

[syochan]

[ Of course Shou also missed Haruka -- so the first thing he does after getting his questions answered (and maybe shouting a bit at Ren) is go straight to her side. ]

Nanami... uh, sorry about that. Really.

[ scratches at the back of his head. He doesn't want to concern her more than he might already have, but he had to release his frustrations somehow. Shouting helped, and now he's calmer. ]

I've just been -- worried. About you...

[ hesitates now... ]

Do you -- remember going to America with me?

[ After finding out Natsuki and Hijirikawa came from the past (or so he's assuming), he has a bad feeling about what her response might be... ]

[ THANK GOD FOR THAT. ]

[ Shou will be eagerly making a plate, worn out after the earlier drama and needing the energy from the food. ]

[ BEGINS MARCHING TO A NEARBY TABLE WITH HIS PLATE AND HIS MOUTH SHUT FIRMLY. ]

Haruka is going to be one busy girl~~

[ Natsuki doesn't show it but he had been counting the days before this moment. In his joy, he didn't think and just gave her the tightest hug he could manage. It had been almost 30 days since he last held her like this.

Nanami was here.

He could touch her.

He could smell her. ]

Nanami-chan ... I have missed you ...

Eh? But, Shou-chan ... I worked so hard on them ...

[ He blinked and looked at his slightly burnt-lloking Lemon Meringue pie ... which is not exactly poisoned but something definitely didn't belong.

For some reason, Natsuki thought a bottle of chili sauce belonged. ]

It's a new recipe too ...

That makes it worse.

Sorry, I guess -- [ maybe he's a little sorry ] but I'd really prefer to just eat this.

[ and resolutely takes a bite of the (actually kind of delicious) food on his plate. ]

[ Natsuki was mostly quiet ... for once. He hadn't really understood at first but now he was beginning to. He hated the idea of his dear Haruka being have to made to do all those bad missions. Haruka is much too kind and gentle for a world like that ...

Her heart was much too warm ... like the sun.

He wanted to help, but he waits for Ren's answer. He would help. No matter what, he wanted to bring Haruka-chan to safety. He'd do anything. ]

[syochan]

[ OH GOD, NO. ]

-- Fine! Give it here --

[ SNATCHES THE PLATE -- ]

Actually, I'll be right back!!

[ GRABS HIS OTHER PLATE TOO and then QUICKLY MOVES OUT OF THE ROOM SO MAYBE HE CAN DUMP OUT NATSUKI'S SOMEWHERE like in the bathroom's trash can ]

Natsuki was so happy that you took ALL of it yourself, that he made a second batch! ---- and then a third! ]

By the time Shou will return, he'll find a tray of Wasabi, soy sauce and caramel cakes for him. ]

Shou-chan! You finished them all?!

You must have like them a lot!

[ Luckily, he finished his other plate outside too. SO NOW HE'LL CARRY THEM BACK OUT AND DUMP THEM OUT, TOO. ]

[ But then when he comes back, he'll sit down with a "hmph". ]

Idiot. The pie might have been better if you left out the chili sauce.

And the caramel cakes didn't need wasabi or soy sauce either!

[ At least. Tries to offer Natsuki a bit of advice so the other will hopefully be satisfied, now? ]

[ Whipping out a pen and paper and began noting and nodding his head. He is listening to your every word. Promise. ]

No Chili sause ... and ...

... no wasabi and soy sauce.

[ Ehhh?But he thought they would add a lot of flavor, Shou-kun! ]

At least you're getting the idea, now.

[ Sighs, already worn out again. Natsuki's antics tend to take all the energy out of him. ]

Yes! And next time I am going to make something even better!

[ And he already had the recipe in mind. No wasabi, chili sauce and soy sauce.

He wondered if vinegar with a dash of salt will be good in pancakes. He could make them for breakfast in the morning. ]

You might as well not bother unless you'll eat it by yourself.


Don't even think of adding stuff like vinegar or salt, either!
